Does Flash Media Server work with Wirecast?

Does Flash Media Server work with the encoding software, Wirecast?
Do any of you have experience integrating the two? Good or bad ?
I'm currently using Red5, which doesn't work with Wirecast, but I'd like to be able to use Wirecast.
Any advice would be appreciated!
Best wishes.

Thanks again for your help on this!
I'm very new at this and don't really understand :
if you've enabled SWF verification on the FMS side, and made an exception for the FMLe user-agent,
I haven't done anything as far as setting other verifications, etc. This is just a default install of the FMS 3.5 Developers version.
But I have tried all 3 user agents, still, none can connect. I still keep getting the "Can't publish stream... check credentials/tokens" error message 4020.
Any other thoughts/ideas?
Best wishes.

  • Does flash media server works with debian?

    Can somebody tell me if there is a version of Flash media
    server for Debian Linux?

    Yep, just take the redHat version and modify the installer
    script, use update-rc.d where redhat use chkconfig, that's it,
    worked fine for me except the server crash once in a while with no
    reason, no problems found in the log, still searching if it's my
    server hardware or a software (fms) problem... but I didn't run the
    adminserver and it's stable now...

  • Why does flash player not work with facebook?

    Why does flash player not work with fcebook?  Whenever I wish to view a video, I get the message that i need to upgrade my flash player. Then no matter how often I download and install flash player I still get the message that I need to upgrade my flash player.  When I go check which version I have, I always get the message that I have the most current one.  I run Mozilla Firefox with Windows.  I don't know anything else.

    This means you don't have the latest version installed.  Update to 11.9.900.117, and Firefox will allow it: Flash Player Plug-in (All other browsers)

  • Slow connection to flash media server 2 (with HTTP Tunneling)

    Hello,
    I use a FMS2 for a big project which include Instant
    Messenger and
    streaming video.
    On my development platform. I have no problem. But in the
    final
    configuration, the connection to Flash Media Server takes a
    lot of
    time (about 2 or 3 minutes) and i can't find why.
    FMS2 was installed on Windows 2003 Server behind a proxy and
    a
    firewall which only let the hostport 80 oppened.
    The server does not run a web server (or anyother
    application) which
    use this hostport.
    The connection are established by HTTP Tunneling.
    Does someone already have the same problem?
    Thanks for your answers and sorry for my poor english level.

    I forgot to mention:
    Flash Media server is running fine. I can log into the Admin
    application no probs.
    I created a folder called "test". Inside that folder I
    created another one called streams and inside that folder I created
    a folder called _definst_.
    I placed an flv file called: test.flv in to the _definst_
    folder.
    In Dreamweaver CS3 I inserted a Flash Video File:
    Chose Streaming as the option and for the RTMP path I put:
    rtmp://ipaddressofserver/test/_definst_/test.flv
    Called the stream....test.
    When i run the page it loads, but the page is blank.
    In the Flash Media Server, in the "View Applicationd" tab
    I get the record of test and underneath it in the same link
    it says test.flv with 1 client
    The Streams tab shows a random name and Netstream.
    This tells me its recognising the connection and link, but
    the movie is not on the page
    any help would be appreciated
    cheers

  • Does Flash Media Server support MULTICAST?

    I've been looking thru all the doc's but I can't seem to find
    a single thing about whether Flash Media Server can actually

    If by
    multicast you mean each user can have an individual "stream"
    that they can control independent of other users, then yes. HTH...

  • Flash media server working

    Hello!
    I am new to this server. I have installed the flash media
    server2 but i could not run an application. I want the complete
    procedure to make use of this server. If you can help me in this
    regard plz help me as early as possible.
    I want the complete procedure to run an application on client
    side as well as on the server side.
    thank you!

    I've had enough responses now to realise that the server is
    streaming beautifully - but only to my computer. It won't even work
    from another computer on this network. I have checked that the
    permissions on the Flash client are ok, and they seem to be. I
    remember on my machine I had to followed some of the instructions
    from
    http://www.onyxservers.com/help/adobe_flash_video_streaming_guide.html
    - see the part titled 'Troubleshooting Tip' - maybe my problem is
    related to something like this - however the 'Troubleshooting Tip'
    was for when the server was on the same machine - the problem I
    have is with a real remote server.
    It is almost like the Development version of fms is tied to
    one machine! I don't know of any special relationship between my
    the server and this desktop machine, except that this machine is
    where the .flv files were created.
    I have looked at the apache and tomcat log files - I can see
    clients coming in and grabbing the .html and GETing the html and
    swt files - but no errors. /var/log/messages doesn't have anything
    but the server being started and stopped.
    Also I have looked at all the log files in
    /opt/adobe/fms/logs, but nothing looks like an error.
    What can I do to diagnose this problem?
    thanks - Chris

  • Does Flash Player only work with web content?

    Thought I'd better start a new thread on this, as my previous
    question has shifted emphasis.
    Does the free Flash Player download only provide Flash
    capability within the web browser? Or can it play local SWFs? If
    not, do I need the whole Flash product to just play?

    > Does the free Flash Player download only provide Flash

    > web browser? Or can it play local SWFs? If not, do I
    need the whole Flash
    > product to just play?
    yes, yes, and no
    YES: The player you download is the activex control and
    Netscape plug-in
    that browsers use .. not a separate program. So yes it is
    effectively for
    use in the browser only.
    YES: You can fire local SWFs using it by opening them within
    your browser.
    It is only for web content.
    NO: You do not need a stand-alone flash player (that comes
    with the Flash
    product) to view SWF content (local or on the web)

  • Does Flash Media Live Encoder work with all the blackmagic-Design Decklink Studio?

    Does Flash Media Live Encoder work with all the Blackmagic-Design Decklink Studio?

    Well, I have my XH A1 Canon video camera hooked up to Shuttle Thundbolt as composite and the thunderbolt to my Macbook Pro (Late 2011 - 2.4GHz, i7, 16GB Ram) and FLM 3.2 does not see my camera.
    When I hook my same camera up to my Windows i7, 2.8Ghz, 8GB Ram using my "Hauppauge capture card" as composite it can see my camera.
    I'm going to try a simple VHS tape deck and see if my macbook pro can see it using the Shuttle Thunderbolt. I'm going to guess and say it won't.
    I installed the drivers as well.

  • Linux issue with Flash Media Server 2

    Greetings all,
    We have just upgraded from Flash Communication Server 1.5 to
    Flash Media Server 2, running on a server with Redhat Enterprise
    Linux 4.
    For some reason, a Flash movie that uses the old
    MediaPlayBack component does not stream video of a FLV. It does
    stream audio. On my testing server using Windows 2000 it functioned
    fine.
    On the other hand, the FLVPlayback component works nicely.
    But I will have to go back and rewrite literally dozens of
    applications that I wrote for Flash Comm 1.5 which used the
    MediaPlaybackComponent, unless there is an easy fix for this.
    I have documented this anomaly with a Captivate movie which
    you can see at
    http://breeze.stfrancis.edu:8900/mediaplayerwoes/.
    It runs 2 minutes 13 seconds.
    I BADLY need help with this. If you can help I would greatly
    appreciate it.

  • Integrating Flash Media Server with other formats

    I would like to create a standard screen/player that can play
    any of the following formats:
    windows media files, all flash files, quick time files, real
    player files.
    So, for example, lets say I want to manipulate the screen to
    be an exact aspect ratio and have the same skin, and exact same
    controls as my flash files, but I don't want to work with Real
    Server or a Windows Media Server to serve these files what is the
    best approach to take ? i.e. a "Standardized" look and feel for all
    the formats listed.
    Where would I be able to get information that will help me
    achieve this ?

    There are two parts to this,
    Flash Media Server application - both client and server side. Check out the video conference app here http://www.adobe.com/devnet/flashmediaserver/sample_apps.html.
    The client side app will be a .swf file which you can develop in Flash/Flex.
    Second, you will have to embed this swf file in your asp.net page that will be delivered to browsers. I am not an expert in asp.net but googled a bit and get a feeling it's possible using
    tag.
    Also don't forget to check this link http://renaun.com/blog/2006/10/28/139/ for video conferencing app using flex and FMS.

  • Domain issues with Flash Media Server

    I have a webcam streaming to Flash Media Server via the Media
    Encoder. I have published the .swf file with the flash player and
    rtmp://99.999.999.999:1935/live/livestream address to my website on
    a hosted webserver.
    When I am on another internet source, the player on my
    webpage loads and works fine. However when I load the webpage in a
    browser on the same network that has the Media Server and Webcam on
    it, the browser freezes up.
    I need some help with a solution that will cause the rtmp://
    address to switch to a local host address. Any suggestions.

  • Need help with Flash media server

    I am using XAMPP. Now i want to intall Flash media server. How can i configure my apache server to work with flash media server? I dont want to install the apache server coming along with flash media

    Hi,
    What excactly is the usecase you are trying here? Are using your external Apache to proxy your http traffic from FMS to it or do you want to use http streaming feature of FMS?
    If you want to proxy it then use the following document : http://help.adobe.com/en_US/FlashMediaServer/3.5_AdminGuide/WSE2A5A7B9-E118-496f-92F9-E295 038DB7DB.html
    Refer Configure HTTP proxying topic in the document.

  • How to test streaming bandwidth on localhost with Flash Media Server ?

    Hello,
    I'm trying to debbug my code on Client side (Action Script 3) that works with Flash Media Server 4 on localhost. Everything seems fine up to that point.
    However, when I'm trying to test my player with other remote streaming servers, I notice bugs because of lower bandwith transmission between the server and the player.
    Is there a simple way to simulate lower bandwith with FMS4 on localhost (by config, application.xml, programmation...) ?
    Thanks
    Seb Ethier

    Thank you zarihs Rawna
    Indeed, i have been with Server-Side ActionScript (SSAS) way. it's more simple, i think.
    Well, here the step what i did :
    Step 1 :
    Make a file "main.asc" et copy & paste the code below.
    - more info : http://www.peachpit.com/articles/article.aspx?p=31217
          *main.asc*
        var bandwidth;
        application.allowDebug = true;
        // Application callback functions
        application.onConnect = function(client, user) {
            //12800 = 100 Kbps
            //64000 = 500 Kbps
            //131072 = 1Mbps
            //327680 = 2.5 Mbps
            //983040 = 7.5 Mbps
            //1966080 = 15 Mbps
            //3932160 = 30 Mbps
            //6553600 = 50 Mbps
            //15728640 = 120 Mbps
            bandwidth = 64000;
            client.setBandwidthLimit(bandwidth, bandwidth);
            trace("clientToServer = " + client.getBandwidthLimit(0) +  " serverToClient="+  client.getBandwidthLimit(1));
            application.acceptConnection(client);
            trace("TEST");
    Step 2 : Save the file under the folder underneath FMS's applications directory
    Example : FMS\application\dyn
    More info : http://www.flashcomguru.com/articles/fms2_basics.cfm
    Step 3: Start the FMS server. If there is a problem, check the log file
    Example : FMS\logs\_defaultVHost_\dyn\_definst_\application.00.log
    Step 4 : (optional) Change the value of the variable bandwidth for your test. I put in comment some common internet connection speed converted in bytes.
    That's all,
    regards,
    sethier
