Does Google index Adobe Flex content

Hi,
Does anyone know if Google indexes Adobe Flex content?
I have seen many examples of Adobe Flash content being indexed but none so far for Adobe Flex generated SWF files.
I  have researched this a lot but cannot find a definitive answer....  Adobe say that Yes Flex generated SWF files are indexable but I have  found no evidence to support this.
Can anyone help me with my question??  I am doing a final year project on RIAs and I need to know!
Thank you in advance,
Angela.

  • Does electronic version Adobe Dreamweaver CSS with PHP content question

Does electronic version Adobe Dreamweaver CSS with PHP come with the labs or files used in a college course?  What is on the CD and is there a way to get the content with the Barnes and Noble e-book?  This should be a Barnes and Nobel question but they seem to have troubles answering the questions like this.

Electronic version comes with absolutely nothing about your course.   All you get is everything in this link:
    <http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/tdrc/index.cfm?product=dreamweaver>
The link will give you 30 days of free use of DW after which you might get bored with DW or you will have given up on your course and started your own business to pay your school fees.

i have this asp.net site which works with sql server
it searches a specific word in the database with full text search
in my database i have a column of type image that holds a PDF file

i can search for doc and docx and even for xml but not pdf
i know i installed it correctly since it is working great in the testing environment
i used this link for the configuration
    http://www.adobe.com/special/acrobat/configuring_pdf_ifilter_for_ms_sql_server_2005.pdf
the only difference i see between my Testing environment and my Production environment  is that
    my testing has
windows sever 2003 sp2 with Sql server 2005 64 bit std sp2   -- works fine
    my production  has
windows sever 2003 R2sp2 with Sql server 2005 64 bit ent sp3  --does not work, does not index my pdf files

  • Flex 3: Does Google Ignore URLs with # in Sitemaps?

    Hi,
I'm making a sitemap for my Flex 3 site. Does Google ignore everything after the # in a url listed in a sitemap. For example, if my sitemap lists:
    www.brainpinata.com/#
    www.brainpinata.com/#view=2
    www.brainpinata.com/#view=12
    www.brainpinata.com/#view=15
Will the pages #view=2, #view=1, #view=15 be ignored?
How does Google handle # in sitemaps?
    Thank you.

    Now on FF 10.0.1
Thanks but that did not work.
I think it may have something to do with conditions that set cookies for MapsGL (for compatibility?) when the page is loaded because it all started when google added Experience MapsGL which never came up on maps.google.com.au instead I got the message "Still loading... Slow? Use the troubleshooting guide or basic HTML."
What ever it is, it probably has something to do with a cookie being set when the page loads and that triggers "Still loading... Slow? Use the troubleshooting guide or basic HTML." It could be the cookie is set and then read again or the cookie is set and it causes and error in a script.
could be advertising for chrome :( :D
Something like that would explain why disabling cookies or private browsing works but deleting cookies does not.
It's still strange that it happens on the .au site. Will keep looking because this is driving me crazy.
EDIT> to clear thing up maps.google.com.au loads the entire page but the little yellow guy is not yellow. (disabled) then if I try drag or use the map, then I get the error "Still loading... Slow? Use the troubleshooting guide or basic HTML."
I will do anything to track down the problem.
Not sure but error console has lots of error with and without cookies enabled but this one stood out and was only there with cookies enabled

  • Does Adobe Flex 4.6 SDK supports multithreading?

    Hi,
As we are using Adobe Flex 4.6 sdk for our vmware vcenter plug-in development. we need to handle the situations like updating the data in multiple panels and portlets of a dashboard simultaneously.
So we are thinking to implement this using multithreading concept.
I am hearing flex doesn't support multi-threading, some workers constructors will give flavor of the multi-threading in flex.
It will be helpful if you provide some information about
    1. Does Adobe Flex 4.6 SDK supports multithreading? If so how to implement?
    2. How to use Workers in flex and what are the limitations?
    Thanks and Regards,
    Sravan Kumar.

  • Adobe Reader X and Indexing Service - pdf content not searchable

Install Adobe Reader X on a Windows 2003 machine with Indexing Service installed. Create a catalog (folder) and point indexing service at it so that documents are indexed. Verify indexing is working with a simple text file. New copy a pdf file into the folder. You will see in Computer Management the file appear to be indexed. Now simply query the catalog - the file contents are not indexed. The iFilter that gets installed should allow indexing service to index pdf file contents and return search results when the catalog is queried.

    Hi MT.Freelance
The way that "Welcome Pages" are done in Acrobat X has changed from Acrobat 9, what you are seeing looks like a bug related to these changes.

Should I download and install the latest version of Adobe Flash to use with Lion?  My need for Flash is very basic: Google Maps, YouTube, and content on certain websites.  Thanks for any help you are able to provide.

Thanks for the speedy reply.  I have read so many comments about Flash being incompatible with Lion I was wondering whether to download it or not.  So many sites on the Web still require flash, however, you almost don't have a choice but to download it even if it is incompatible.  I gather a better version of Flash will be available for Lion soon.  Again, thanks for the help.  I will download the latest version of Flash.

  • Light Weight Portal with Short Links and Google Indexing: how does it work?

We have set up an EFP and activated Short Links. The content is provoded by WPC and everything is accessible anonymous. Now we wantetd the site to be indexed by Google, for that we used the Google Webmaster Tools, cteated sitemaps, and so on ... but Google is not able to index our site!
On of the issues are that when the Site root is accessed (like http://hostname/) we send a redirect to /irj/site. Our whole site ist only accessible with /irj/site?NavigationTarget=navurl://gte5... an so on.
We also use an Apache Websever as a proxy ib front of the portal an rewrite URL's. This works fine for the enduser, but probably causes problems to Crawlers (anyone knows that problem?).
Anyone had a same problem with Google Indexing? And found a solution for that?
    Thanks

  • Pdf document browsing using adobe flex

how can I have a panel that showing pdf doument using adobe flex 3

Flash player do not have the necessary libraries to display PDF. But AIR runtime does ( http://livedocs.adobe.com/flex/3/html/help.html?content=PDF_1.html ).
Not a good solution, but somehow you need to convert the PDF to an SWF to be able to load it into a Flex panel.
Iframe trick ( http://code.google.com/p/flex-iframe/ ) can also be applied here.

  • Printed Adobe Flex Documentaion

I just want to make sure I am not missing it. Is there
    anywhere where I
can get a printed copy of the Flex documentation? PDF and
    HTML are fine
and all, but really hard to take with me on my 90 minute
    train/bus ride
to and from home. I'm willing to pay (have my company pay for
    me) for
it. But I did not see it available anywhere on the Adobe
    site.
If it does not exist, can I presume it would be acceptable
    for me to
have somebody (Kinko's let's say) print and bind a copy of
    the
electronic version for myself. Shouldn't cost more then a few
    hundred
dollars should it? I promise not to make money off it, well
    at least
    not much.

--->>>Ok Adobe people who may be

Why did I not end up at this location when I went to Flex,
    then
documentation, and then the get printed documents link.
That took me to a page that only had a couple of Dreamweaver
    titles.
To provide more information to anybody incharge of improving
    the Adobe
    website content:
    1) I went to www.adobe.com and selected 'Flex' from the top
    'Products' menu.
    2) This took me to www.adobe.com/products/flex where I
    selected the
'Flex documentation' link on the 'Use' sidebar.
    3) This took me to
    www.adobe.com/support/documentation/en/flex/ where I
selected the 'Online Store' link in the first paragraph under
    the 'Flex
    product manuals' heading.
    4) This took me to
    www.adobe.com/support/documentation/buy_books.html
where I could not find any way to get printed copies the Flex
documentation. Clicking on 'Flex' in the 'Documentation by
    Product'
sidebar took me back to the previous location.
This location is very different then
    store1.adobe.com/cfusion/store/index.cfm?store=OLS-US&view=ols_cat&catType=BOOKS&nr=0
where I was able find the printed material I wanted.

  • Z-Index inside flex 4???

Hi iIve been hearing that adobe was planning to add Z index in Flex 4 to arrange the order in which objects are displayed. Is this true?
We are developing a massive game like application with thousands of objects, many of which are moving (e.x. units are running on the map) and to rearrange their order sounds like a nightmare. Is there anything like z-Index in DHTML? I've tried Z component but it does not seem to do what i want...

Components in Flex 4 have a new property called depth.  The new Spark Containers (Group, DataGroup, Panel, SkinnableContainer, SkinnableDataContainer, List, etc...) support this property, and it's what you're looking for.  However, with thousands of objects in a game, that seems like a lot.  Are you guys using a Group to display them all?

  • Adobe Flex Pie Chart

    Hi,
I want to populate data from a query template to a adobe flex pie chart. I am doing this because business user prefers beautiful objects ;).
Can anyone help me out in how to achieve this. I have some knowledge about flex.
    Thanx in Advance

    Hi,
You can see a Video tutorial on xMII-Flex integration made by Abesh
    at /people/abesh.bhattacharjee/blog/2007/08/27/use-xmii-services-in-adobe-flex-20-video
    Coming to your question
you should declare the web service in your flex application as
    <mx:HTTPService id="ServiceName"/>
then you can call it in a function let's say Hi()
    private function Hi():void{
    ServiceName.url=encodeURI("http://xMIIServerIP/Lighthammer/Illuminator?QueryTemplate="PathToQueryTemplate"&IllumLoginName="LoginName"&IllumLoginPassword="Password"&content-type=text/xml");
                   ServiceName.send();
You can call this function in any event according to your requirements.
Note: The URL is specific to 11.5 version of xMII. You may need to change it accordingly for 12.0.

    Musarrat

people complaining about problems installing an office over another office are (dare i say it) stupid. it makes absolutely no sense installing one over the trial version. just uninstall the trial and you'll be fine. every single time.
as for problem with uninstalling mcafee (or any other antivirus, for that matter, just download the uninstaller from the software company e.g. http://service.mcafee.com/FAQDocument.aspx?id=TS100507 for mcafee.
that said i believe you get to choose if you want mcafee and/or office when you go through the inital boot, the "on-screen instructions"
you can slow down the odd via power manager
and thanks for the tips on changing the reg to have the user profiles somewhere else!
