Does health app work in airplane mode - iPhone 6

I am going to be overseas for the next week and will have my iPhone in airplane mode most of the week so I do not have to pay roaming cellular or data charges.  Will my iPhone 6 still tracks my steps in the Health app?

Oh, don't feel stupid! We can't all think of everything. That's what the forum is for.
Have fun on your trip!

Does Apple facetime work between at &t iPhone in US and an iPod touch in India?
I am currently staying in US and planning to buy an iPod touch here and send it to my parents in India, so that I can facetime with them. But i am not sure if facetime works between AT&T iPhone 4 and the iPod touch which is going to be in India. Is there any one who has done this actually? Thanks

Yes.  It would only not work in some countries tha prohibit FT.  India is not one of those.

  • Apps Not Working In Airplane Mode

I have an iPhone 4 running version 4.3.5. I am on the island of Ibiza in the Med off the coast of Spain.
There is no cell service available on the island. I have access to a wi-fi network where I'm staying.
I am in Airplane Mode with 3G, cellular data and data roaming turned off. I am connected to a wi-fi network.
I can send and receive email on my iPhone.
Here's my perdicament. The majority of my Apps will not open. As stated, the Mail App works.
Safari, The App Store, The iTunes Store Apps work. But every other App just flashes for a second,
when touched, but will not open.
I really need access to the other Apps on my iPhone.
Any help or solution is appreciated.
    Thanks

I manually turned WiFi back on and my iPhone automatically connected to the WiFi network
enabling my Mail App, Safari and the Apple Stores Apps to work as usual. But all other Apps will not launch.
    Thanks

  • Push Notifications only work in Airplane Mode + Wifi

I have a problem with my push notifications. They only work exactly when I have my phone in Airplane Mode and with Wifi enabled. Here are the details of my phone:
    Phone: iPhone 3GS
OS: 3.1.2, NOT jailbroken, NOT unlocked
    Activation: Not Hacktivated
Data: "Unlimited Mobile Browsing" - others report that they are able to get Push notifications through this connection on my cell phone provider
Push Notifications: Do not work when not in Airplane Mode
I have search the internet for countless hours for a solution and although I have discovered some threads where people have the same problem, no solution was provided.
    Please help me,
    Thanks

It could be there's not enough signal for the push notifications to come through. I hardly get them on the 3G network due to having 3 bars or 4 bars. Also doesn't work good indoors. When I have 5 bars, I'll be able to receive them.
It could be a network issue to speak with the carrier or "Mark the Spot" app as no coverage/no data if you have AT&T. It could also be Apple's Push Notification Service having problems while they update their service to have Push and Local separated.

    Hi
iDVD is not a general DVD encoding program that can handles lot's of various video and audio file types.
    No it's very picky.
What did You feed it -
Video - in what codec (.avi, .wmv, .mov  are containers no specific codecs) ?
Audio - in what file format - I only use .aiff 16-bit 48kHz as from miniDV tape Cameras - What did You use ?
If it don't play in iDVD Preview - then don't wast a DVD disk on it.
Try to Save as a DiskImage instead and test this first - if this play OK - burn DVD from this.

  • Google sync stops working until airplane mode is toggled

Sometime within the last month my WebOS calendar and contacts stopped syncing with Google, I didn't notice exactly when because I'm still primarily using the original Palm PIM apps inside of Classic. In Calendar and Contacts I deleted my Google account, then added it back in. After adding the accounts I got all the current info but still no updates after that, even when I do a "Sync Now" within Calendar nothing seems to happen. My Google email has been working just fine all along.
However: I've just discovered that if I enable/disable Airplane mode then magically my calendar gets updated!
Any ideas as to what is going on and how I can get things working properly without needing the airplane mode work-around? I'm using an ATT Palm Pixi running 1.4.5.

Ditto - almost. The problem I have had since starting with my Pre January 2010 has been that items entered into my Google calendar update reliably on my Pre. But items entered into my Pre sometimes update on Google and sometimes don't - even when I try to synch manually. An item I entered on my Pre a week ago for Monday 21st Jan still had not appeared on Google calendar half an hour ago. But following the tip on this thread I turned airplane mode on and off and at last there it was. This also corrected the date on the calendar icon on my Pre (see another thread . . .).  Well, at least I have a workaround now.

  • Ios8 Health App Work with FItbit

WIll the FItbit App and IOS8 Health App

I asked Fitbit and this is the response I got.
"We are glad to help with your inquiry about integrating Fitbit with the iOS health app.
Currently, this app is not listed in the authorized apps to have the availability to interact with Fitbit.com. However, we are taken your suggestion into consideration and hope that we can implement something like this in the future. Meanwhile, we suggest to contact the app provider.
For a list of the available apps, please see here: https://www.fitbit.com/apps
Let us know if you have any additional questions."
So How do we make that request of Apple to authorize and draw over data from fitbit.  I store calories, sleep and activity through their app and don't want to have a bunch of new apps to do what this on app does, although I want to use HEALTH...
Feeling a little like I'm getting the run around.

  • How does syncing apps with more than one iPhones work?

Me and my girlfriend both has a iPhone. I was wondering do I have to purchase the app twice for both iPhones?are apps tied with my computer, the phone or my iTunes account? Assuming I purchase it from my mac there's no way to say which iPhone it is for so I assume I can use of on both phone? But what of I bought it from the phone?

Yes you can do this. It works just like music, you do not have to purchase an app twice if, for example, you purchase an app and then would like to also put it onto your husband or wife's iPhone. You can authorize up to five computers to "hold onto" the app and allow it to be synchronized down to the iPhone. I did this with two computers, mine and my wife's, synching to two iPhones, mine and hers. There's probably a limit of 5 iPhones too, but I don't know for sure.
You can simply email an app, or put it onto a CD or external storage device to move it to another computer, and then authorize it on the additional computer.
Here's what you need to know:
Go to iTunes on a computer that has the app. Top left, Library menu, click on Applications to display the applications which are on this computer. You'll get a big screen that says IPhone and IPod Touch Apps, and icons for each. Right click (Control-click if you have to) to get the contextual menu, and select "Show in Finder." All of your apps should be residing in the resulting folder. Grab one or more of them and email or copy to a CD or external drive (or transfer by network) to get the app onto the additional computer. On my computer this is the "Mobile Applications" folder in my iTunes Library; this appears to be the default location. Of course you need to put the app into the correct default folder on the new computer.
Once the app(s) is on the new computer, it may not show up in iTunes (look in the same place; in other words, open iTunes, go to "Library --> Applications" top left). If it's not showing up in iTunes, then simply go back to the folder (the actual app in the finder) and right-click and select Open With --> iTunes. That'll force it to show up. Your goal is for the app to show up in iTunes on the "new" (additional) computer. Once it shows up, you are almost there, although it is not yet authorized, so if you go ahead and sync with your iPhone on this additional computer the transfer will fail.
To authorize it, simply double click on the app IN iTUNES, right there in the Library -->Applications view. A window will pop up and say you are not authorized to play this (just like it does when you try to play a song you originally purchased on a different computer). The user name that is displayed will be the user name of the original purchaser. Enter the password of the original purchaser. You are good to go. If you added multiple apps, they will all become authorized on this additional computer with this single authorization action, you do not have to repeat the authorization for each of them, as long as they all were purchased by the same user.
Proceed with syncing the additional iPhone using iTunes on the additonal computer. You are done. Enjoy!
This will work with no regard to AT+T accounts, it's not related to them at all. You can have five authorized computers, including the one which originally purchased the song or app. You can send an app to a friend who lives in a faraway place and allow him to authorize his computer to play your apps and songs. Note that he will be able to play all of your apps and songs forever until you deauthorize his computer. This does not mean he will have access to your account in any way; simply that he will have general authorization for any songs or apps you send him; he won't need to re-authorize any new things you send him. In order to allow you to maintain control (change your mind) there is an option in the iTunes Store (Account button) which allows you to deauthorize ALL computers on your account, if you wish to reauthorize individual computers again.
The apps and songs are simply password protected. If you send one to someone they won't be able to use it unless they know your password, and you can allow this up to five times (for five computers).

  • TS3376 Husband tracking me from 35k feet in the air, claims I stopped for 1 hr in a location and did not move. Actually went work to home (10 min drive). Does the app work from an airplane moving across the country? What would explain this location stop ?

Anyone know the answer why find my iPhone app would show me as stopped or froze in a location for an hour? My husband was tracking me from an airplane on his computer and claims I was stopped somewhere for an hour. This was not at all the case as I went home from work. On his end viewing me from an airplane he claims my location was in front of an address. Not so, why would it do that.? Is there such a thing as recall rating from 35 thousand feet and the locator freezing up? I ask cause this is ridiculous and he claims the app is never wrong when clearly it is.
    Thanks

Thank you both above for your replies, wired that he is tracking me from a plane and accusing me of "something". Even weirder is his defending that the app is never wrong. So I take the high road and investigate.
    Thanks for the support .

  • Does foursquare app work with the Curve?

I have an 8330 with Verizon and I'm trying to use foursquare. When I open it, it locks up.  All options are set for "allow" and the GPS location is on.  I tried restarting, battery pull, reinstalling, and even updating my OS.
Is this application supposed to work with the Curve? The foursquare people aren't replying to me.

Does the health kit app in iOS
    You mean iOS 8.
    work with the iphone 5?
    Yes.
The motion   is turned on in and it does not record steps.
The iPhone 5 does not have the M7 Motion Sensor co-processor. It will not record steps.
The iPhone 5S has a motion co-processor as do the iPhone 6 & 6 Plus.

but what do i need to chance because i tried a few things but nothing work, is it the version or what?

    Thomas2553,
it may well sound absurd, but (speculation alert) it might have been the case that Apple’s internal testing during Mountain Lion’s development showed that it would not perform well on a 2006 MacBook Pro, which could have led to a decision by Apple to add code to Mountain Lion’s installer to prevent Mountain Lion from being installed on such machines. In any case, the system requirements for Mountain Lion can be seen here.

  • Does miscrosoft outlook work/sync with an iphone?

We have s 4 computer station network connected to a simple server and utilize MS Outlook for our calendar, e-mail, and contacts.  Interested in getting an iphone however I have heard that the iphone will not work/snyc with Outlook.

None, but you can sync the iPhone with CalDAV calendars over the Internet.
iOS: How to transfer or sync content to your computer
    You can sync calendars with:
Microsoft Outlook 2003, Microsoft Outlook 2007, Microsoft Office 2010 (Windows XP, Windows Vista, or Windows 7)
    iCal (Mac OS  X)
Microsoft Entourage 2004, Microsoft Entourage 2008
Note:  If using Microsoft Entourage, use Microsoft Entourage 2008 12.1.2 or later  if syncing with Mac OS X v10.6 or later. If you would like to sync data on your Mac with Entourage, enable syncing between Entourage and Address Book.
    Microsoft Outlook 2011 for Mac
Note: If using Microsoft Outlook 2011 for Mac to sync calendars you must update to Microsoft Office 2011 for Mac Service Pack 1 or later.
For example, here's how you setup a Google calendar to your iPhone with CalDAV -> Sync your Apple device - Google Calendar Help
