Does 'HH3' Support 'BTFON'?

Question

I was supplied the HH3 when I moved to BT very nearly 18 months ago.
It has always reported:-
BT FON:
Not active on your BT Home Hub
Activate service
despite a fair number of attempts to activate it.
However, whenever I check on the 'BTWi-Fi' my status, it shows me as being opted in
Earlier this morning I decided to call the Help Desk on 0800 022 3322 and try to get to the bottom of things.  After the representative listened to what I had to say, she said she would carry out some line tests, and after a few minutes she came back and asked what version of Home Hub I had, so after establishing that it was definitely a 'HH3' she said that the 'BTFON' option was not available on my hub!!!!!
I find that VERY hard to believe, as I've seen other threads on here where users were complaining about not being able to turn off 'BTFON' option on their 'HH3' 
For the record, can one of the BT 'Gurus' who reads this confirm if my 'HH3' does or does not have the facility to enable/disable the 'BTFON' option, especially as it's shown on the Home Menu of the hub?

If it does support enabling of 'BTFON', how do I get it activated?  Do I need to resort to a 'hard reset' of the Hub with paper-clip on the back panel....or......?

You can opt-out, wait a few mins and then opt back in again by going to https://www.bt.com/wifi/secure/status.do?
I suggested a hard reset as it would then reloaded the factory default setting which is stored in the firmware, though you don't have to do this.*
This would then also cause the latest config file to be uploaded onto the home hub by the TR-069 remote management. The latest config file make take a few days to be uploaded to your home hub.
Changes to your BTWifi/FON status are also made via this method, which can mean that when people opt out or opt in, it can take a few days to take effect as the TR-069 remote management has to update the homehubs config file.
When there is a major firmware update, then the default config file stored in the firmware, can be changed if BT decide they want to make any permanent changes.
That is also why it is best to keep the homehub switched on and connected 25/7 so it can receive firmware and config file updates from the TR-069 remote management system.
*Remember a hard reset will roll-back the homehub to it's factory default which means all your personalised settings will be set back to default. You can back them up if needed.
