Does hp stream 7 have an internal microphone?

I checked all the info available online but couldn't find the answer. The product spec says that the hp stream 7 has an audio jack with microphone support. But I would like to know whether it has an internal microphone. Can someone answer this simple question? Thanks.

Yes, it has an internal microphone.  You can download the full maintenance and service guide from HP (http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c04495010.pdf) and find the info in there.
It actually picks up very well also - almost too well considering many times you're holding the device in your hand.  The slightest movement actually picks up the rubbing sounds from your hand or your finger sliding across the screen if your using the screen while the mic is active.
As far as finding the mic on the device, the best I can figure is that it's at the edge of the bezel on the top between the audio jack and the front-facing camera.  Mine has a tiny 'notch' in the bezel right there, and that would also pretty much be where you would expect it to be from looking at the internal diagrams.

Can anyone help me with this?

From what I have seen it does not. But I could very well be wrong. I have yet to see one inside an L20 I have dismantled either, but seeing as I have never had to order/exchange one I dont think it has one at all. Hope this helps.

  • Does Satellite A100-784 have an internal microphone?

I do not know if my A100-784 has an internal microphone, I tried talking on skype, yahoo messenger but is useless, nobody can hear me but i can hear them clearly talking to me.
Can anyone tell me is my laptop has or not an internal microphone?
    Thanks.

    Hi there,
I just googled for your type and I found out, that your machine has no internal microphone. You will have to connect a external microphone to your machine to speak over skype.
So I hope your question is answered.

  • Does my OfficeJet 8500 have an internal hard drive?

I have an HP OfficeJet Pro 8500 All-In-One (FAX/Scan/Print/Photo) printer that doesn't work and I'd like to get rid of it.  Before I dispose of it, I'd like to know if there's an internal hard drive that could potentially be storing anything I may have copied, scanned or faxed.  If it does have an internal hard drive which is holding this information, (1)  How do I erase/delete it? and (2)  Where can I dispose of the printer once the "memory" is removed/deleted/erased?

    Hi ProudNavyMom,
I see that you want to dispose of your printer.
The printer doesn't have an internal hard drive.
For disposing of the product take a look at this link.

    Hi Michael,
Yes, it does. It will start when the processor temperature reached 68˚C or so. If you run iTunes Visualizer it will usually raise the temperature high enough to get the fan running.

  • Does my Equium A100-147 have an internal microphone?

    Hi,
I can hear others during a voice chat but no-one can hear me. I have tried using an external micrphone but nothing changed. I have gone through Control Panel and tested my microphone. A sound seems to play but I can't hear anything else.
    Please respond.
    Thanks
    Sashinath

    Hi sashinath
    Happy New Year
It seems the Equium A100-147 does not support the internal mic and therefore you have to connect the external microphone if you want to speak to everyone in the vice chat.
    You could use any microphone.
I use a skype for communicating and I have connected a headset. Its a headphone with the microphone.
After connecting of the external mic you should check the sound and audio options in the control panel and check if the mic was enabled.

  • Does QuickTime Streaming Server have a nice user gui?

I am thinking of getting Mac OS X Server for the QuickTime Streaming Server that comes with this. I have only been able to find admin gui pictures. Does QTSS come with any nice user interfaces? Is there any example of any of the default user interfaces / webpages?
    Thank you.

AFIAK "Windows Media Server" and "Real Media Server" are not providing a content management "Web GUI Media Server" either. What you get with QTSS/DSS that you're not getting with Windows Media Server and Real Media Server is what I have quantified to be a greater amount of player ubiquity (the highest in reality is Flash, but you're stuck with Flash Media Server and On2 VP6 codec (which I think looks horrible)).
Just one thing to ask you, think of your customers (most the one's I am concerned with are students) and think of what they use to play music. Do they use a Zune? A Creative Nomad? Or do the use an iPod? Most people have ipods, I would think, and therefore use iTunes, and therefore have quicktime installed. Hmmmm... wait I can play almost any open source media format with quicktime, oh and wait I can stream just about any open source (streamable) media format with QTSS/DSS.
Oh did I mention I can run DSS on a variety of rock solid *nix distro's on off the shelf parts from my local electronics store. Can you say cheap streaming media server?
In the end it's all apple's and orange's to me. Yah windows is more pervasive, but you're going to be pigeon holed into using windows media formats (which are all proprietary), and dealing with an unstable server OS (no debating this one). With QTSS/DSS I can stream mpeg-4's or 3gp or if I so desired .mov. I don't particularly like the SpyWare install nature of real player and it's thousands upon thousands of updates, and version name changes, and this or that. I personally don't even have it installed, nor do I visit any website that uses it. I also think real's and windows media's video quality is so so (just my opinion).
h.264 is really where it's at, it's part of everything nowadays including production pipelines for movies, and in HD-DVD and BluRay DVD specs. Yah I am sure you can stream h.264 encoded .RM or .WMV (not sure if that's possible) but again your limited. I personally stream MPEG-4's (completely platform indpendent, and can be played back in almost all media players (including windows media player with the envivio plugin), and VLC which is free and can be installed on (windows, os x, linux).
The Killer combo for me is really, flash player (flash can now play mpeg-4's including h.264, but only for downloads) playing RTSP MPEG-4 h.264 encoded streams form DSS/QTSS (or some other blazingly fast and stable streaming server, there are other's out there, but DSS/QTSS seems pretty dang pervasive to me).

  • Does the new nano have an internal speaker like the touch?

    headphone free speaker?

Yes... it has both an internal speaker and microphone.
    From the manual (page 12):
About the iPod nano Internal Speaker
With the iPod nano internal speaker, you can listen to any audio on iPod nano without
earphones or headphones — except for the built-in FM radio, which uses the earphone
or headphone cord as an antenna.
Connecting earphones or headphones to iPod nano disables the internal speaker. Any
audio that’s playing continues to play, but only through the earphones or headphones.
If you disconnect the earphones or headphones while audio is playing, the audio
pauses. To resume listening through the internal speaker, press Play/Pause (’). If you
disconnect the earphones or headphones while the radio is playing or paused, the
radio stops and any paused radio is cleared.
If you choose Video Camera or Voice Memos while audio is playing, the audio turns off.

  • Does iMAC G5 have an internal modem for dialup?

Does the IMAC G5 have an internal model for dial-up?
(The page imac/Whatsinside.html says works with Apple USB modem (sold separately). The page specs/imac/iMAC_G5.html says Built-in modem.)

Thank you Eric. We followed your advice and found the ethernet port on the back. At work they showed me how to tell the difference - besides being wider, the ethernet port has a long row of gold pins. I stopped by the Apple store and bought their modem. It's tiny.
Thank you myhighway. Once we turn on the machine we'll follow your advice on how to query the machine.
"I have each of the models in front of me." "I bought a G5 iMac in February 2005, it has an internal modem. I just bought 2 CoreDuo iMacs, neither has an internal modem." Both of you have 3 iMacs ?!!
Thank you all very much for your explanations and insights. Very helpful. Thank you for your time.

  • Internal Microphone not working for L505D-S5983 (PLEASE HELP!)

    Hi,
I can't seem to get my internal microphone to work. I have enabled it under Sound->Manage Audio Devices
->Recording tab. However the green vertical bar does not detect any voice. After setting the Microphone boost to +40dB, it detected some noise (since it has some green light) but I realized it wasn't detecting my voice. Since this did not work, I re-set the Microphone boost to only +10dB.  I only have one internal microphone and no external microphone.
I have seen many postings on internal microphones not working on Toshiba laptops but couldn't find a solution to mine. Can someone please help? I think it's about time that Toshiba fix this issue after the countless complaints.
    FM.

No mentions of reinstalling the sound driver. That sometimes turns on the microphone.

  • W500 - No internal microphone option

I have installed the most recent Conexant drivers for XP (4.92.15.0/3.64.14.0) and do not have the internal microphone as an option for audio input. I don't see any errors in device manager either.
Can someone please help me fix this?

I have just noticed that my mic on my W500 (Model BK8,  type 4061) is not working at all.
    The speakers are working ok.
The internal mic does not produce anything when I test it using the Windows Control Panel.
I have tried the external jack also, and still nothing.
I updated the driver and the bios using the Thankvantage update. Still nothing.
    Thank you.

  • Internal microphone not working on my hp windows 8

Recently my internal microphone has stopped working when i use an external microphone i have no problem but since my computer is newer i have no idea how to resolve the issue im using Windows 8 on my Hp pavillion g7 notebook

Hello, I have an internal Microphone issue. I already sent it in to get it fixed and the issue is happening yet again. It just doesn't work. It used one..but there is no reason why it shouldn't I just got the PC less than 5 months ago.  Its  Windows8 HP Envy dv6 Notebook PC.  I ran a cleaner and tells me some files may be missing or something along those lines. I'm still learning the terms and understanding. I spoke to an HP online assistant. She was a bit rude after quite some time of trying to help me understand what it was I was doing. I hope I can get some help with it.

  • Internal microphone in MacBook Pro 15" not working after upgrade to Yosemite

    Hello
This issue is similar to iMac's problem with the internal microphone not working in FaceTime. In sound preferences, I have the internal microphone set for input. In FacetTme, I have Video->Microphone->Internal Microphone selected. There is no corresponding menu item for Audio (perhaps this is the problem? ). When I make a Facetime video call, I can hear the recipient, but they cannot hear me.
When I go into the Sound setting->Input, select Internal Microphone and test it (like record something from Photo Booth), the bars (input level) remain greyed-out.

  • Does my MacBook Pro have an inernal convertor for European use?

Does my MacBook Pro have an internal convertor for use in Europe with a standard adaptor or do I have to get a separate convertor?

    MBP power block autoconverts.
You just need a plug-end converter from your home country (making no assumption abiut USA) to the countries' (many have different and unique styles) you intend to visit.

  • IMac (Late 2009) internal microphone not working

    Hi!
My internal microphone is no longer working in any applications. Under System preferences and Sound I have selected Internal microphone and the input volume is set to max but I get no readings from the input level, it's dead. I have no external microphone installed or anything else connected to my iMac. I installed Teamspeak client on my iMac the other day and when I did the microphone calibration I got for some reason readings on the input level when i gently knocked on my iMac, but for some reason I didn't get anything when i tried to speak...go figure.
    Any ideas?

    That didn't work
I will consider taking it in for a repair then...
    Thanks anyway.
