    Usage Notes
This procedure requires the CREATE JOB privilege to create a schedule in one's own schema or the CREATE ANY JOB privilege to create a schedule in someone else's schema by specifying schema.schedule_name. Once a schedule has been created, it can be used by other users. The schedule is created with access to PUBLIC. Therefore, there is no need to explicitly grant access to the schedule.

  • Apache http server won't run - error 1067

Hi, I succesfully installed the latest version of Oracle RDBMS on a Windows XP machine. I included the APache HTTP server in the install. It all worked fine. Then I installed the Oracle development suite (rapid application development selection), and since cannot get the Apache server to run. It gives error 1067. On issueing "F:\oracle\ora90\Apache\Apache>apache.exe start -k" I get the following error: "Syntax error on line 14 of F:\oracle\ora90\rdbms\demo\aqxml.conf: Invalid command 'ApJServGroupMount', perhaps mis-spelled or defined by a module not included in the server configuration".
Any ideas?? I amnew to both Oracle and Apache. Thanks for any help offered.

I have exactly the same problem... does anyone have any ideas how do I solve it.

  • Is oracle9iA server needed to run Toplink

I am new to Toplink, and just doing evaluation. I would like to know if I need to run the oracle9iA server in order to run Toplink? Or can I run toplink as a
    separated product?
    Thanks

Toplink does not require 9iAS. It is a completely separate set of tools that, of course, integrate with 9iAS but so long as your application has access to toplink.jar and the various toplink project xml desxcriptors -- everything should work just fine ( and as a matter of fact, Toplink is probably being used more outside of 9iAS to date than as part of an enterprise application running inside 9iAS).

  • Apache http server won't run - error 1067 - after installing forms

Hi, I succesfully installed the 9i on a Windows XP machine. I included the Apache HTTP server in the install. It all worked fine. Then I installed the Oracle development suite (rapid application development selection), and since cannot get the Apache server to run. It gives error 1067. did you install the development suite on a different Oracle home? In case it is on its own oracle home, it happens that the new install overwrites the PATH environment variable and sets the path of the new oracle home prior to the previously installed oracle home, this could affect old oracle home, since it will be looking for libraries and executables at the wrong OH. Change back the PATH environment variable, so the old OH is referred first.
Start once more the oracle http server, first by means of the windows service, and verify the httpd.pid file doesn't exist prior to attempt restarting it.

  • HTTP SERVER need help.

I have a http server problem.
    my platform win2k adv server
    w or w/o iis
    w or w/o active directory
I installed the oracle 902 but the http quite ?????
I shut down the iis services the http server doesn't take over. in oracle817 the http index page will just pop up.
    but in 9i it doesn't.
some other thing i noticed is during the installation sometime the agent service right before the starting http services or just after the scott database creating done. it sometime when through sometime doesn't.
    any help?
I basically just want to install apache and use apache to launch my form or other html page.

Thank you so much ejp, I have been reading books for the past week trying to figure this out, had no luck.
I'm just not sure about a couple of things, if you could clearify it for me.
At the moment, I am doing the processes in the following order
    read request - main method
    send reply - HTTPclass
    close connection - HTTPclass
I think you are telling me to change when I close the connection, ie the HTTPclass should remain in a while loop for a while (unless the keep-alive is not set).. I did try that, but everytime a new request would come in, the main method would make a new HTTPclass object and service it, rather then the old one servicing it.
I dont quite understand this part
while (read request != EOF)what does end of file have to do with it??
sorry, these are probably easy questions, i'm just really confused
    Thanks again,
    Hakim

  • Does Admin server need Oracle Client

I have a setup where the admin server resides on a different server than the managed server. To setup a Data Source/connection pool does the admin server need to have the Oracle client setup for the data source to work which is targeted ONLY to the managed server.
    Thanks

JohnHi John, no, and we recoomend highly that you use the oracle driver
in the thin mode, which needs no Oracle client installation at all.

  • What does my Mac need to run Access 2003 and SAM training CD

I'm enrolled in an intro database class using Microsoft Office Access 2003 and SAM 2003 Assessment and Training CD. Both require a PC, but I have Mac Book Pro 2. Would someone please explain to a PC dummy what my Mac would need to run these two applications or if I need to (gulp) purchase a PC. Mostly likely I'll be taking additional classes in the future. Thank you.

    Welcome to the Apple Forums.
You will need the following to Run MS Access and SAM 2003:
    1. An Intel Mac (You already have this)
    2. Leopard Operating System (You have Tiger), which contains boot camp to install Windows
    3. Windows XP or Windows Vista installation Disk (Please read the Boot Camp instructions/Guide)
    4. Microsoft Office 2003 or 2007 for Windows (which has MS Access)

  • Does my Server need audio installed for streaming audio and video

I have flash media streaming server installed onto my s
erver and wondered whether i actually need a sound card on my server to enable audio to be streamed. I was told i
did not??? so how would audio be streamed if no sound card/???

Flash Media Interactive/Streaming/Development Server only stores and serves files hence it doesn't need any audio/video devices installed. The Flash Player or FMLE does need access to local media resource in order to incroporate audio/video data.

  • Does Distiller Server 8.0 run as a service?

I recently installed Distiller Server 8.0 on a Windows 2003 server. I do not find any services running associated with Distiller. Does this program install as a service on a server? If the program is shut down, the watched folders will not output the pdf files in our application.

    Some details:
The server is started/stoped by a batch asadmin, which collect some parameters and use a java class to instantiate/stop the server. The server process then forks and will be an independent one. Moreover, the App Server is dependent of Sun Message Queue, another service it will start. This other service is called by an exe that will initiate another java process to implement this service. You end up with three process: the java process of the App Server, an exe which controls the JMS service and another java process for the JMS. The Sun Message Queue can be installed as a Windows Service itself, see the docs. App Server 7 seemed to connect cleanly to a running instance of JMS (started either as service or from console), but App Server 8 seems to require its own. I write this in a hurry and it is still an unsolved problem for me (us?), sorry.

  • How much "power" does iMovie 09 need to run good, ie CPU & memory

Hi I have a 20-inch iMac (MA876LL), Mid 2007 iMac, it has a 2GHz. it came with 1Gb, but I upgraded to an extra 1Gb, so have a total of 2Gb in my iMac now.
I know about minimum specifications required for software, which I never really take much notice of.
So with iMovie, with new slow mo, stabilisation etc will be requiring more and more from iMac, and other apps, iTunes, Garageband, iMovie etc, now what do you think its a good base config to have?
I think my iMac can support 4Gb in total, so was maybe going to buy another 2Gb stick, and sell my 1Gb, so I would have total of 3Gb in?
I cannot upgrade CPU obviously, I have plenty spare HDD (I have a 320Gb one)
    cheers

I'll never try to talk anyone out of more RAM. The more the better. If you can afford to go to 4 GB, go for it, you never regret adding more RAM.
How satisified you'll be with your iMac and iMovie depends on the type of footage you're editing (HD, DV, 540 or 1080), the size (length) of the project, and the amount of effects/transitions/bells/whistles you intend to use. For the most part, your iMac should be great if you keep to 540 or less (as Apple suggests) and under 10-15 minutes. I'm not saying you can't do more, you're just far more likely to run into sluggishness.
Really, where you'll be wishing you had a fire breathing Mac Pro is on export. We all wish we had more power when it comes to export.

  • HTTP server does not start on 10g

I have the following installed on my Linux Intel single box
    Database 10g
    HTML DB
    Application Server 10g
I had configured my application on HTTP server and was running fine. On top of it I installed successfully Enterprise Manager Grid Control in the same box. Now when I start the Application server the HTTP server shows the status Stop.
The HTTP server is configured on port 80. When I access the URL on the browser it say 'No response from Application Server'. I tried restarting but it went on and on but didnt start.
Can anyone guide what could have gone wrong or what needs to be verified.
    Warm regards,
    Vipul

    Hi Vipul,
I experienced problems recently where the hardware was rebooted after the Apps Server did not shutdown cleanly. When opmn(Oracle Process Manager) tries to start the HTTP server component it tries to cleanup the old process id by performing a hard stop on it. In my case this process was now owned by root instead of the owner of the Oracle installation. You can check this by doing
    $ORACLE_HOME/opmn/bin/opmnctl status
If the pid of the HTTP_Server component is present then check the owner of that process by doing
    ps -ef | grep <pid_goes_here>
and see who the owner is.
In our case we had to restart the root process that was running and everything started up correctly.
    Hope this helps.
