I need drill through to AS400. I have IBM Data warehouse 7.1 y db2 olap 7.1 on AS400, but sql drill through come with Integration Server. There are any way to install integration server on AS400??

Yes.. ShowCase is porting EIS 6.5 for the iSeries/AS400. It should be released by late Q3 2002. Check either with IBM or ShowCase (depending on where you got your DB2 7.1) for 8.1 availability

  • Integration Server URL for HTTPS

I want to configure SSL for our PI 7.0 system.  I have:
    - Configured SSL on the Java Stack and tested it.  It works fine.
    - Configured SSL on the ABAP and tested it.  It works.
I know to enable HTTPS I need to change the following exchange profile parameter:
    com.sap.aii.connect.secure_connections = messaging
I think I need to change the J2EE server
SAP XI AF CPA Cache to register with the http/https ports and the Fully qualified domain name (so to match the SSL Certificate).
    The big question is:
Do I need to change the URL for the Integration Server (in the business system in the SLD)?  For example:
    https://<hostname>.domain.com/sap/xi/engine?type=entry
(where https is the default 443 so I don't have to specify the port).
Or can we just leave that as the default HTTP connection as below?:
    http://<hostname>.domain.com/sap/xi/engine?type=entry
Any help is greatly appreciated since I don't have access to a sandbox and it is trial and error (with developers needing to use the system).  Thanks!

    I agree with Silvia here.
The entry can continue to point to the default port / default URL of the Integration Server   as you would need to  authenticate only the end point and not internal XI calls.
Also, if I remember correct, the SSL port is always one port higher than the default port both for J2EE and ABAP stack.
@Silvia : Nice to see ppl from SAP (especially the author of CTS+ article ) contributing on the XI forums. Need more people like you here

  • Hyperion Integration Server

Will some one help me in understanding the HIS architecture?1.Firstly, how are the objects in HIS differet from Essbase Objects?2.Is Essbase server required even when you have Essbase integration server. If so, why is that needed when the essbase outline & Data is build & loaded from relational Data source & what role essbase server has if Integration server has its own objects? Is there any documentation on EIS?User

Hi,Essbase Server is the OLAP Engine and EIS ist a mediator to load data from a relational datasource directly as an outline into the Essbase Database. If you are just up to load the data, you don't really need EIS in my oppinion. Its true benefits lie in drill-through and hybrid OLAP support.Since EIS ist just the "mediating" or loading-tool the objects are not per se in Essbase. You have to load and calculate Essbase in order to bring them into the server. If you have EIS installed there is a full documentation in your program group.Hope this helps.J?rg

  • Thunderbird does not get server data for ovi mail

    hi there,
    i have the following problem:
when i try to make an ovi account in my thunderbird mail client, it does not find the right server settings to do so. i searched the net for hints concerning the right settings to set them manually but havent found anything so far.
does anybody know the right server settings or can provide me with a tip where i can find them, respecively solve the problem otherwise?
    many thanks in advance!

Hello.  Name here is Stephen.  I live in Missouri.
I currently use my ovi.com email address with a Nokia E-71 smartphone, on the prepaid Straight Talk (TracFone Owned) wireless network.
I've also had my ovi.com address setup in Thunderbird (a popular email client) as an IMAP account.
Now that I see the new settings, I see that IMAP no longer available?  Is that correct?
If this is the case, how is converting an IMAP account that worked flawlessly to a generic POP3 account progress?  IMAP is more attuned to business users, and is just more efficient all the way around.
If I'm wrong, please let me know.  If not, I need the current IMAP account settings for my ovi.com email address.
Please assist me in this matter, as it's driving me nuts.
    Warm Regards,
    Stephen Brown

    Hi CRM Experts,
Iam trying to get into Groupware Integration for CRM 7.0 however all the documentation i can found on the maketplace are for older CRM versiones like crm 4.0 or 5.0?
maybe there wasnt any significant changes in that peticular function so the older documentation still works?
still if that the case do i download and install  the mapbox,  goupware connector and groupware connector proxy for the crm 5.0(since there none for crm 7.0) ?
iam a little lost here place advice
    with kind regards

    Hi Kalle,
You can use the same documentation for crm 5.0 and 4.0. You need to install the groupware connector and run trx. MIGRATE to use ABAP MAPBOX. Try to install the gw connector in a windows 2003 server as SAP asked me once. If you need any help let me know.

  • Does the symbol server work for current version?

I followed the "Using the Mozilla symbol server" article in order to see symbols for Firefox in a debugger. But i still only get those "firefox.exe+1a05" entries, instead of "firefox.exe+Sleep" for example. All windows symbols work, but I never got any Firefox symbols to show up. My idea now is that the Mozilla symbol server is not up to date. Can someone help me?

Hehe thats the "Using-the-Mozilla-symbol-server-article" I mentioned in my post. It only explains how to add the symbol server to search path; which is working for me. But the mozilla server seem to not have symbols for the current version of firefox.exe, THAT is my problem.

  • Hyperion Integration server - updating the cube through AIS

    Hi All,
we have an existing ASO cube with 12 dimensions and there is a requirement to add another dimension to the same cube. There are currently 16 drill through reports defined against the cube. I have not worked with the AIS earlier but have an overall idea . So if i want to add another dimension through AIS..What are the
things i have to do ..starting from creating/having a dimension table for the new dimension
what are the things i have to take care of?etc
Thanks a lot for your time

Ensure you have a column(s) in your dimension table that can join to the fact table. In EIS open the Model for this particular cube. On the left side find your dimension table and drag it on to the model. Answer yes when it asks if you want to add the table to the current model. Click the "Add Joins Mode" icon then click the fact table object and DRAG and let go on your dimension table. A popup should appear "Create new dimension". Change the name if you wish, then click OK. Another popup appears "Edit join info for...". Choose the columns to join on and click "Add" then "Close". Save the model. Open the EIS outline for this model and assuming you didn't already have it open you'll find your new dimension table on the left. Drag the level-0 (bottom most level) column that you're putting in this cube over to the outline name on the right and let go, or wherever you want to add the dimension and go from there.
If the outline is using User Defined SQL then you'll be prompted "User defined data load SQLs may not be valid anymore. Do you want to delete them? Pressing No will prompt you to edit the SQLs." Choose "No". A "SQL Override" window will appear where you can type in your column name to the Select list (for a hint of what to do look at what it put in the Standard Dataload SQL in grey at the bottom & go from there). Put your new column in the same order in the Select statement that the Standard Dataload SQL has it in.
Then it's probably good to edit each of the drillthrough reports. With the EIS outline open, from the menu choose Edit | Drill-through Reports. Expand each report and decide whether you need to specify a certain intersection level for this new dimension - meaning, at what level do you want to force the users to have to select a value before you'll let them 'see' the drillthrough report. If it doesn't matter for this new dimension then just click OLAP Intersection Levels, Add, then click on your new dimension then the right arrow to add it to the list of intersections and click Close.
Let me know if you need additional assistance.
    Good luck,
    Karen Smejkal

  • Does "Military Grade Security" exist for WLANS

After reading about all the vulnarabilities of WLANS I am unsure if any are good enough. The latest is dynamic WEP, Temporal key integrity protocol, and Message integrity check. Are any of these good enough to use in a military application. Is EAP good enough.

This depands on what cyrptographic standards are required by the military application. For most highly classified applications the military requires its own non-commercial "type-1" cryptography to be used. There are specialist companies looking at integrating this technology into WLANs - contact your Cisco rep for details. For less highly classified material, most military applications require the use of an "approved" encryption algorthim. In Australia and the US, RC4 (the basis for WEP) is not approved for military use. The solution is to use IPSec, which uses DES, an approved algorithm, on top of WLANs ro provide the necessary confidentiality, authenticty and integrity. Typical deployment sceanrios include IOS/IPSec on routers for point-to-point links and the VPN3000 for client to base-station links.

  • Does something like this exist for mac somewhere?

    http://www.bitboost.com/pawsense/
I've recently gotten a cat that loves my desk and keyboard. I've had to resort to unplugging my keyboard whenever i'm not by it. While it isn't a big deal, i'd prefer it if i didn't have to. Is there something similar for mac?

yeah, i know that's an option too, but the problem is it doesn't work when i'm watching a movie or something full screen or have just stepped away from my computer for a second.

  • Does an upgrade still exist for iphoto '08 to '09?

I took RAW photos (.cr2) with my newish Canon G12, and iPhoto '08 can't interpret them, nor can the MacBook (early '08), currently running MacOS 10.5.8.  I could of course upgrade to Snow Leopard, then upgrade to Lion, then upgrade to iLife '11, but I'd rather not spend the money on this aging system.  Also, I'm in the middle of finishing a thesis, so I'm just a bit worried about stirring the pot.  I have found the camera file update (v3.5) which should allow iPhoto to use the .cr2 files, but apparently i need Iphoto '09 for that.  This single upgrade seems to be the best solution, but I just can't seem to find the old '09 for download...?  Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.  Cheers.

There is no iPhoto 09 to download. The only way to install 09 is from an iLife 09 install disk. You might get one of those on ebay.

  • Does 2GB ram stick exist for iMac Intel Core Duo?

looking to max out my iMac on Ram (at least 2GB) as i Find it real slow with the 512MB it comes standard with.
    1) Is my only option to buy 2 x 1GB or is there a 2GB stick on the market?
    2) If going for the 2 x 1GB am I going to see a significant difference beyond just having the standard 512MB paired to a new 1GB?
    Thanks

I bought 2 1GB sticks of Ram, installed them... ran my iMac 20 Intel core duo, then went to 1.5 GB of RAM. Honestly, I don't see the advantage of going to 2 GB. Personally save yourself the $$$ and wait about a year or 2 then upgrade. I am returning 1 stick which I paid 109 for. BTW Fry's electronics has Corsair 1 GB PC5300 sticks for 109.00 with a 20.00 rebate. Cosair if definitely a name you can trust.
Personally 1.5 GB is te magic number.
To comment on GLO's comment about pairs: There is no reason to match your memory. These iMac's do not run in dual channel mode. I contacted AppleCare and was told that there is no advantage running paired sticks of memory on the new machines.
