hi ya,?i have got a pc installed (on w2k platform) with creative emu0k audio processor (wdm) sound card. there are 5 colored connectors at the creative back panel, the colors in-order from left to right side namely black, green, pink, blue and orange. i am a very new beginner to these pc stuffs so can someone kindly tell me what does these 5 colors connectors represent? which color is the mic and which color is the line-in and etc?secondly, i am running a test?program which will?produce an audio sound and then pass or fail the test based on?the audio level. the audio sound has been produced?but somehow the?sound?doesn't seem to be picked up by the sound card when i?connected a microphone?to the pink connector (supposedly this is for the mic) or any other color connectors on the panel. I have come across a web forum saying that i need to connect the mic?to a mircophonepreamplifier input and then the?mircophonepreamplifier output to the pc's line-in connector....is this true? cos' there's also saying that?the sound card should already have an internal bias for the mic connector... would appreciate if anyone can helpt o answer my doubts soon....cheers....:smileytongue:?but when i would like to connect a mic

I have the "Sound Blaster X-Fi Platinum Fatalty Champion Series" sound card
seems I'm in the same boat as you lot, had the W7 x64 Ultimate RC running, no problems, recently installed the full version W7 Ultimate x64 and since then whatever I try I keep getting that the drivers are the latest ones but my sound device is not working "Creative X-Fi Audio Processor (WDM) has a driver Problem"
I've tryed all one can think of, deleted all drivers (DriverSweeper), deleted the hardware, re-installed via the so called autoupdate panel all adviced drivers and proggies, result = zilch also posted question here => http://forums.creative.com/t5/Window...m-p/55796#M295 and only result is some smartass remarks, really not very helpfull and alas quite dissapointing after having spend my hard earned cash for a product with in fact no support as it seems very quiet to get some answers around here.

Does not complete processing of "Home" of the Creative Cloud desktop application

Someone know the way to fix the following issue?
After installed some Creative Cloud Software, I had uninstalled Adobe application manager manually and installed Creative Cloud desktop application manually. because automatic upgrade of creative cloud desktop application from adobe application manager does not work.
The creative cloud desktop application setup had been completed successfully. but, seems that it does not complete processing of displaying the history if I chose "Home". The progress Icon will stay in continuity. And any contents does not show on it.

I'm posting this in a few threads to try to catch everyone having the problem.
The good news is that I found a way to fix this.
The bad news is that it involves uninstalling everything. (Note that reinstalling over the old installs won't cover it, I'd tried that one once too. You'll have to fully uninstall each program before redownloading/reinstalling.)
I spent many hours with tech support yesterday running through options unsuccessfully, and can very thoroughly assure you that uninstalling the desktop app, renaming any number of folders, and new user accounts all will not help you. From doing a lot of research on various similar problems, it appears that it's possible for this to spontaneously resolve within a couple of hours. If it doesn't, though, you're stuck with fixing it yourself.
The best theory I found was that it's caused by updating or installing a program without doing it through CC. If you've downloaded an installer and run that or clicked "Check for updates" in the help menu inside one of the other apps, this is you. Other people have noted that if you know which app you did this with, you can uninstall that one to fix it. If you have no idea, the simplest path is to just uninstall everything. You can try doing things one at a time, but you'll need to reboot every time the uninstaller tell you to do so and then see if it's fixed. (Personally, I got sick of that by the second time through.) I do remember clicking "Check for updates" right around the time this started for me, but I don't know which program it was in, just that I knew it would trigger the updates I knew existed but CC wasn't acknowledging.
I will also note that once I had everything uninstalled, I ran the Cleaner Tool and did a "Clean All". If you're going to or need to do that, make sure you've backed up all of your preferences, customizations, plugins, and so forth as needed.

i tried one failed then its ok on the second , after that i try it again with wrong passcode then it appears back to one failed attemps which supposed to be the 2nd failed? Or if you input the correct passcode it will revert to zero automatically? Or there is any interval? If you failed for the 6th attempt does the only way to this is to restore form my macbook or pc where i backed up the phone? Thanks

Server side flows will also timed out when flows are needed by CSS. In your situation I see 3 possible options
1. Increase flow timeout using "flow-timeout-multiplier number"
or
2. Use "flow permanent port1 "
It will prevent cleanup of the idle flows for specified port and will make these flows permanent. This can severly affect the scalibility as you may run out of available flows on the box. In order to reclaim these flows you can either manually (doing "no flow permanent port1" and then "flow permanent port1 " every night may be) remove these idle flows or can write a script to do that for you on CSS.

3. Add HeartBeat functionality in the application.

No, Find my friends would need to be installed, you change the device being followed from the find my friends settings. It could be either device being followed depending on the settings, not which was last logged in, you can choose any device to follow from any device, the chanes are then synced across all devices.

Check your software (eg WinDVD) that comes bundle with your soundcard for option such as dolby prologic II or any upmix feature. This function will channel stereo source to all yr speaker.
If still cannot, maybe u should try a simple diagnostic method. Try connecting the rear speakers to the front channel of yr soundcard. Test for sound from yr rear speaker. If there is sound, that means yr speaker is ok, problem may be due to yr software or soundcard. Likewise do the same testing method on yr front/sub speaker.
U can also try playing DVD to test for 5.1 channel output. However, make sure your software have the dolby digital(AC3) or DTS decoding function. From what i know, winDVD and PowerDVD(cinema) have this function.

Does a DAC make a lot of sound difference when connected between an iMac and a good receiver?

I have one of the better Yamaha receivers plus two Cerwin-Vega bookshelf speakers plus an Infinity sub that sound pretty good playing the AAC(mostly 256) files on my iMac. I've heard that a DAC can really make a difference. Can anyone confirm that and possibly even make a DAC recommendation?

The DAC manufacturers and, I am sure, enthusiastic audiofiles, will make all kinds of claims that an external DAC makes a huge difference. I urge some caution however because you would necessarily also have to have high end audio equipment (amp, speakers & wiring) as well as a near-perfect environment (studio, anyone?) in order to hear a meaningful difference just because of the DAC. It's not just a matter of having a DAC, it's the entire audio setup that makes the difference.
IMHO if your system is at home and you have a reasonably good amp & speakers, the analog output from your Mac will deliver excellent performance and you would be hard put to discern a difference by putting a DAC in the audio chain. At least, that's been my experience.
Also, if your Yamaha amp has optical digital input, you can connect it directly to your Mac's audio out (combined headphone + optical digital output) ... without needing a separate DAC.

When we hear about VRF, its almost synonymous to MPLS VPN. Virtual Routing and Forwarding is commonly used by Service Providers to provide services within an MPLS cloud with multiple customers. The most interesting feature of this is that, VRF allows creation of multiple routing tables within a single router. This means that overlapping use of IP addresses from different customers is possible. Some enterprises use VRF to seggrate their services like VOIP, wireless, geographical location and other varieties.

Whether you can replace the 891 device with another device boils down to a single question: Do you need to run BGP with the Service Provider in order to use their service. If you need to run a routing protocol with your service provider, your service is likely a L3VPN (IP VPN) solution ( i.e. you inject your site's routes into the providers L3VPN session, they use MP-BGP+VRF for segmentation within their network).
If, however, they just drop you a L2 connection and provide L2 emulated services ( e.g. L2VPN or VPLS ) across their network, then your device can be whatever you want it to be.
From your device's perspective, it is not VRF aware. That is, it does not know about how the service provider segments your service from another customers. In the L3VPN case, your device is routing-protocol aware. In the L2VPN case, your device is not routing protocol aware and does not need to form adjacency with the service provider's equipment.
