Does IBM eServer support Solaris (Intel Platform Edition) ???

Hi Friends,
Does anyone know whether IBM eServer supports Solaris (Intel Platform Edition) or not ?
Anyone has succeeded to install it before ???
Many Thanks.
Best Regards,
Denny Ho

I'm sure that Oracle8i server supports Solaris Intel Platform and Oracle9i doesn't support Solaris Intel Platform at this moment as I know.

There is only Form6i and Report6i for SunSparc and no Solaris version for x86.
Have anybody tried to install the Linux version of Form6i or Report6i in a machine running Solaris X86? And what is the key to install it successfully?

I have checked this site and i also downloaded the version 8.1.7 for solaris. when i try to run the ./runInstaller file it gives me a error as "Syntax error on line number 1" and returns back to $prompt. I was told that this is the version only for Sun Sparc Solaris. There is no 8i version for Solaris 8 on intel platform.
Is that right ??.. or do U have some more information on that. probably anybody has tried that or so ??..

  • Oracle for Sun Solaris (Intel Platform)

I want to know that if oracle for sun solaris 8 (intel platform) is available and anyone has installed it. On OTN only oracle for sun solaris (For SPARC ) is available for download.
if anyone know it for solaris 8 (intel platform) then please tell me where to get it from.

So that we may better diagnose DOWNLOAD problems, please provide the following information.
    - Server name ORACLE 9I DATABASE
    - Filename
    - Date/Time 5 JULY 2K2
    - Browser + Version IE 6
    - O/S + Version SUN SOLARIS
    - Error Msg

I didn't see anything on the Sun site, but the disk arrived with my Solaris media. I have installed it on one machine (you need to create the "oracle" user id, the "dba" group, and you must set the tunable parameters for shared memory to install the software and example database.)
I tried to install a second machine and the Oracle installer terminates half way through without errors. I'm still working that issue.

  • SIS 6326 driver for Solaris Intel platform

Apparently those who used a SiS 6326 chip on the graphics card
cannot find a proper driver for Solaris 8 Intel.
I am having the same problem, is there any way of resolve this problem
so I can make my graphics card work at 100% or does this mean I have to get a different graphics card which is supported by Solaris 8 Intel.

Do you know if there is any other old SiS drivers for Sun? Maybe we can make it work good (at least 50% fine) using an old driver...
PS: If you can, please answer to my email: [email protected]
    Thanks in advance...

  • Does PremierePro CS3 support AVC HD importing/editing?

I want to get a High-Def HDD camcorder that will allow capture and editing of those files. The SONY Handycams use AVC HD. If that won't work with PP CS3, then which make/model compact camcorder would be recommended?

    >which make/model compact camcorder would be recommended?
I feel there are two basics that every camera on the planet should have. First, independent frame recording (no temporal compression). Second, full resolution imaging devices.
Right now, cameras that have both cost upwards of $50,000. The only 'affordable' cameras that get at least the first one right (and it's first for a reason) are the Panasonic HVX-200A and the HPX-170.
However, they do unfortunately get the second one wrong with less than full resolution CCDs. But this is really
less critical than the first basic.

  • Does weblogic 704 support solaris on x86?

This is urgent and thanks in advance!

Hello, Pratap. Yesterday the location at which the WebLogic Portal engineering team is located (Colorado, USA) was hit by the biggest blizzard of the winter and the entire metropolitan area shut down. Imagine a direct hit from a typhoon but with snow instead of rain. I was stranded iin traffic for 8 hours yesterday. That is probably why nobody from the product team has answered.
WebLogic Portal is the best framework out there for building a Web 2.0 portal. It is a lot harder (and more valuable, IMO) to build a product that is a framework as opposed to a packaged app. WLP blows everything else out of the water when it comes to enabling you to build anything you want. Nothing else comes close to its flexibility, maturity/stability, and scalability. WebLogic Portal is not an application. I'm sure that there are going to be plenty of widgets available OOTB now that WebLogic Portal is part of a much bigger picture with the Oracle WebCenter Suite, so that will probably help with some of the expectations that you have of a portal product, but I'll let someone else speak to that.

  • RFC SDK support on solaris-intel?

I have some questions about the “C”  SAP RFC SDK. I cannot seem to find a complete list of supported UNIX platforms.
What is the current version of the “C” RFC SDK?
Is it supported on the solaris intel platform?
I notice that the dynamic version of the RFC library (rfc32.dll)  is installed with SAP Netweaver on Windows.  Is the equivalent dynamically loaded library (i.e. librfc.so) always included with a SAP installation on UNIX as well?  Does this mean that the static libraries provided in the RFC SDK are no longer required to build a client RFC application, since a client application can dynamically load the run-time library instead?

We don't certify Solaris on NT.
You can find this information on platform support page.

  • Installation of Solaris 8 (x86 Platform Edition

    Hi guys,
I have downloaded the Solaris 8 for intel version and burnt them into CDs. (3 CDs). I tried to download the Solaris (x86 Platform Edition) Device Configuration Assistant Boot Diskette, but instead of downloading, it opens in another Internet explorer window. I tried pressing shift while downloading, that doesn't work. And also I tried to boot using the Solaris installation CD for installing, it says cannot boot from CDROM. Please help me. How can I proceed with installation?
    With regards,
    Amin

Well I had undergone the same problem, what I did was then use Netscape Enterprise Browser, and there is worked just fine, and was able to save the file onto my pc, without it being opening in an another window, so if possible use Netscape Browser and try and see what happens. Hope this helps you.
