Does iCloud restore game saves?

I'm having a few problems with Game Centre. It doesn't stay logged in for very long, which is annoying, and games like Cut the Rope Experiments keep crashing back to the home screen.
Also, frustratingly, my laptop won't back up my iPhone.
If I back up my iPhone to iCloud right now, restore my iPhone to factory settings, and then restore from iCloud, will I get my game saves back too?
Thanks.

1. Will iCloud restore the in-app data, including all of his classroom work?

1. Yes icloud will restore data and the passcode - completely useless for results
2. No you can't get around.
Your 14 years old may have used some logical number and that is your only hope, cause the only difference between those pass codes,  with restrictions you
have unlimited amount of attempts as far as I know.
Loading apps from purchased does not save data. It is like brand new app.

  • ICloud and game saves

I have an ipod touch and the iphone 4s, icloud worked wonderfully with synchronizing everything i had on my ipod touch to my iphone, apps transfered with no problems except game saves.  Some gaming websites say that its possible,  my ipod touch is 32gb along with my iphone 4s; is it possible that if i upgrade to 20gb icloud storage that it will sync my game saves i have on my ipod touch to my iphone?  The reason i ask is because on my icloud settings on my ipod touch it says that is incomplete so im guessing with extra storage it will finally complete it and get everything on the ?

You'd need to ask the developer. How and when individual apps use iCloud is up to the developer of that particular app,

  • When does icloud restore finish?

Restored my phone from an iCloud backup two days ago - by all accounts it appears that everything has been restored - even synced with iTunes to be sure.  However, I still have a message on my lock screen that says it's still restoring from icloud backup.
It's been two days - is it really still restoring anything?  I know how to get rid of the message (turn off icloud backup), just want to be certain that there isn't any data I would lose by doing so, etc.

    Hello stm69,
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.
If you are seeing the message on your lock screen that your iPhone is still restoring data from your iCloud Backup, that indicates that your iPhone is downloading the remaining content from the backup to your phone.  Depending on the quality of your Wi-Fi connection and the size of the backup, it can take a while to restore all of the content.
The restore process is taking a long time to finish
The amount of time needed by the restore process depends on your geographical location and the speed of your Internet connection. Even with a fast Internet connection, the restore process might take 1 to 4 hours per gigabyte to complete.
If you're traveling between countries, the restore process might take longer than usual. iCloud is tuned to provide the best service when you're in the geographical location from which you most frequently connect to the Internet. When restoring from an iCloud backup, iCloud is tuned to provide the best service in the geographical region you were in when you created the backup.

  • HT4859 Does iCloud restore app data?

When I backup an iOS 5.1.1 device with iCloud and I restore it will I get my app data back( such as a game highscore)?

Only for those apps that you turned on in Settings>iCloud>Storage & Backup>manage Storage, tap your device in the Backups section, then look under Backup options.  (All this on the device whose backup you want to configure.)

  • I bought a song today and ALL of my music disappeared... How do i get it back? Does icloud restore it?

I bought a soong today from itunes. While the song was downloading, my phone blinked off. Came back on and finished downloading the song. Problem is now ALL of my other music is gone. Anyone know how to get it back? Does it correct itself after it backs up to the icloud tonite? Can I do a "back up now" to my icloud to retrieve it? Completely lost and frustrated... HELP!

A backup doesn't contain the contents of the Music app (nor the Videos app). Have you tried closing the Music app via the phone's multitasking bar and seeing if the music shows when you re-open the app ? Double-click the home button to open the taskbar, and then swipe or drag the Music app's screen from there up and off the top of the screen to close it, and click the home button to close the taskbar.
You could also try a soft-reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the equivalent of a reboot.
If that doesn't work then if the music was purchased from iTunes, then depending upon what country that you are in (and if the music is still in your country's store) then you might be able to redownload it via the Purchased tab in the iTunes store app on your phone. Or have you been connecting your phone to your computer's iTunes and doing File > Devices > Transfer Purchases to copy them over - if you have then you can sync them back.

  • Does iCloud help me save hard drive space?

my hard drive is always getting too full and this affects performance. Can I use i cloud to store content so I can delete it from my hard drive?

iCloud does not provide general file storage in the manner of MobileMe's iDisk - you would need a third party service to do this. This page examines some options:
    http://rfwilmut.net/migrate3
If you are talking about a lot of data, online storage would be very very slow. You might be better off simply buying an external hard disk and moving data (not the System or Documents folder) to it - though you should never only keep data in just one place, either locally or online. Backups are the key to happiness: someone who has only one copy of data is going to lose it sooner or later - a hard disk can fail, equipment can be damaged or stolen, online backups can fail.
Backup, then backup again. One day you'll be so glad you did.

  • Does icloud restore my playlists on itunes

I had to restore all my files my computer and the itunes playlists were gone  can they be restored?  Do they have to be manually entered again?

Playlists are one way synced from iTunes to the iPod. So if you lost the playlists in iTunes you will lose them on the iPod as well when you sync the iPod to your library.

  • HT5824 I've been using numbers for iPad and I accidentally deleted a column. And the auto-save feature saved that and now I can't undo it. Does iCloud storage have backups of saved files from like 10 minutes ago? I have number

I've been using numbers for iPad and I accidentally deleted a column. And the auto-save feature saved that and now I can't undo it. Does iCloud storage have backups of saved files from like 10 minutes ago? I have numbers synced to iCloud.
I tried to undo it but the app crashed.
I am hoping there's like a previously saved version of my file in iCloud somewhere.

No, iOS does not do short term incremental back ups to iCloud such as you get with Time Capsule. It backs up when you do soo manually, or if set properly, when the device is plugged in and connected to WiFi. It will not have saved your changes as of 10 minutes prior.

  • Does iCloud save voicemail messages from my iphone 5 when I back up? More specifically I am trying to access messages that were in my deleted folder at the time I last saved, that have since been cleared.

Does iCloud save voicemail messages from my iphone 5 when I back up? More specifically, I am trying to access messages from my now deceased father that were in my deleted voicemail folder at the time I last saved, that have since been cleared.

The iCloud backup includes visual voicemail messages.  I'm not sure if it includes the deleted ones or not, but I would assume it does.

  • HT4623 when you restore games from your iPod touch that are backed up to the cloud, does it restore your game play history as it was at the last backup?

grandson loaded up the iPad touch we gifted him. iTunes (he uses a PC at home) says to restore factory settings.  we understand that will wipe data from iPod touch - but we did confirm his "Minecraft" app and a half-dozen others were backed up as recently as 1 pm today.  If we restore to factory settings, then "restore" his iPod from the iCloud back up, can anyone confirm his "gameplay" will also be restored as of the last backup?  Not a gamer, never had this concern...  I know his Purchased Apps are still on iTunes, but he's panicked about losing his minecraft "score."

Yes it you restore from iCloud backup game status will also be restore provided that the app is still avaialbe form the App store.

  • ICloud Game Saves, When?

Like when I'm away I would like to play a game on my iPhone & when I get home I would like to continue my progress on my iPad.
I was playing The Sims 3 Free to play & it requires a internet connection. I get home & use my Wifi iPad but I got to start over.
Just wondering if Apple will support this feature soon.

    Ok thanks
***** tho cause I have over 50 games & none support iCloud Game Saves.

  • How to transfer game saves

I originally had an iPad 2 but then i got an itouch (4th Gen) and had some apps (infinity blade, plants vs zombies, pocket god, plague.inc) and work really hard on them and was wondering if i could take the app data from my iPad 2 and put them on my iPod touch. I also downloaded iexplorer as from another website on how to do this but I could only transfer my data from infinity blade. I have also looked at some other posts but I think I have been doing it wrong so it didn't work. If anybody has some other way to transfer the game saves i would really, really appreciate it. Thanks in advance.

If they are same app for both the iPad and iPod then restoring the iPod from the backup of the iPad should work.  Some games store progress on a server and for those just log into your existing account.

  • Does icloud backup videos from my camera roll on iphone 5?

My iphone 5 is stuck in recovery mode aftera a failed software update - when i plugin to iTunes to restore it - a warning tells me it will erase eveyrthing on my phone.....I do use iCloud - does iCloud save all my photos and vidoes? I pay the $100/year for the most storeage - but have no way of seeing what is actually on the cloud - so i am scared to do my phone restore...I will lose all the photos of baby from birth until now. Please help

It is not a good idea to have the only copies of your important photos/videos on your iPhone.
You really should be transferring your photos and videos to your computer and then backing them up.
Import personal photos and videos from iOS devices to your computer

  • ICloud Restore - Firewall Destination Networks Needed

    Good afternoon,
We are attempting to implement firewall ACL's on our corporate firewalls to enable users to perform iOS iCloud restores from our guest wireless network.  I found the document on Apple's website for firewall ports and protocols, however I am unable to locate anything regarding what destination networks, IP ranges, or netblocks are utilized by the iCloud backup/restore cloud service.  Can anyone help me locate these details?
    Thanks,
    Jeff

No, it does not give me the option of what to save, at least not on the iCloud backup screen. I can't have it back up right now anyway because it won't connect to the wireless network (the main reason I want this fixed...) My OP says that I am using a PC (Windows 7, iTunes 12.0.1.26).
I have limited cellular data and rely heavily on wifi hotspots. We also live in a very rural area and do not have DSL or comparible high-speed internet at home where I can make all these changes on my own time.

  • Help with icloud restoring backup please?

i had to send my iphone 5c for repair and they sent me a brand new 5c so when i turned it on i had to set the phone up again & I restored a backup from icloud that i backed up on the day just before i sent off my iphone to be repaired  but the backup did not restore my data and history of the games apps i have on my iphone even though i did back up the games!  does icloud not back up the data of games?
also when i connected my new phone to itunes there was no record of the backup i did on the day i sent off my old phone???

How the lock works is explained by Find My iPhone Activation Lock and Find My iPhone Activation Lock: Removing a device from a previous owner's account.
On YouTube you will find some videos helping bypassing the lock and get access to the contacts. With some luck you can contact the previous owner and force him to remove the iPhone from the devices list at icloud.com/find.
