Does Illustrator 10 run under Mac OS 10.9 (mavericks) or 10.10 (yosemite)?

I just need to know if I can still run my old Illustrator 10 under either of the latest Mac operating systems.

Thank you. That's an option I need to explore. I ran two different OSs year ago, but so much has changed that it's going to take a lot of rethinking and relearning.

Does Your Disk Utility App Stop Running Under Mac OS 10.9 - Mavericks

I am using a 2012 MacBook Air running Mac OS 10.9 - Mavericks. The Disk Utility app Verify function stops running, most often during the "Checking Volume Information" part of the test, and does not display any results. The app does not crash: I can run Verify over and over. The app simply stops running. Does anyone else have this problem?

I have a Drobo (2nd Gen) attached to my early 2009 Mac Pro via Firewire and it consistently has this problem with the Disk Utility app on Mavericks.
Maybe there's a timeout on the Disk Utility.
It seems that diskutil and fsck on the command line work.
First, get the device identifier for the volume you want to check:
bash-3.2$ diskutil list /Volumes/Drobo
/dev/disk5

You can also use fsck in debug mode if you like more verbose output. Here I first unmount and then use the raw device:
root# diskutil umount /Volumes/Drobo
Volume Drobo on disk5s2 unmounted
root# fsck_hfs -d -l -f /dev/rdisk5s2
** /dev/rdisk5s2 (NO WRITE)
        Using cacheBlockSize=32K cacheTotalBlock=98304 cacheSize=3145728K.

Then remount:

You should really read the fsck man page if you go this route. There are many options and many ways you could accidentally do something you don't intend to do.

Firefox4 does not run on Mac OSXv10.4.11. Can NOT reload v3.6.12. What do we do

I was forced to update to firefox v4, only to find out that it does NOT run on Mac OSX10.4.11. I can nor re-load the older version v3.6.11. It means that we need to migrate to anther system provider. This is a shame since we like Firefox's features. Can you help suggest way forward pls?

Does X-RIte MSCCPP ColorChecker Passport work with Photoshop Extended CS3 Version 10.0.1 running under Mac OS 10.6.8?

My iMac is running 10.6.8, but some of the newer color checkers require 10.7 or higher.
Amazon has a listing for the X-Rite MSCCPP ColorChecker Passport. The system
requirements mention Adobe Camera RAW 4.5 or newer, Mac OSX 10.4.11 or 10.5X.
Will the X-Rite work with my CS3 Extended version 10.0.1?

Thanks to all participants for their advice. Having purchased the Xrite MSCCPP ColorChecker Passport, I can say that
the short answer to my question (amended to saying my camera is an Canon XTi) is "yes".
Instructions for using a newer version of the CCP are given at

The same steps apply to the MSCCPP version.
In the reviews of the MSCCPP on Amazon, be sure to read Louie Aquinaldo's advice about not upgrading
from the included software version 1.0.1 to 1.0.2.

CC runs under Mac OS 10.6.8; not under Yosemite 10.10.2

We are on a secure network via a proxy server. Adobe CC desktop app installs and works fine on Win 7 machines and on our older Macs running OS 10.6.8. However, on our new Macs running Yosemite 10.10.2, and the same proxy config as the older Macs and PCs, the CC destop app launches, asks for proxy credentials (which I provide), then goes to the Creative Cloud log in screen. After signing in to CC, it then goes again to the proxy sign in screen, with the previously provided credentials filled in, and just stops. Apple and Adobe tech support were of next to no help. Since CC works on the Windows machines and on older Macs using the same proxy server set up, I can't figure out what's going on under Yosemite.

RWV you will need to apply the same proxy setting change to Ethernet connection as well. This preferences I showed are utilized to configure each network connection.
If you continue to face difficulties then I would recommend contacting our support team directly at Contact Customer Care. If you have a Creative Cloud for Enterprise or Team account then please have your program administrator submit a request.
I would recommend running the log collector tool referenced at Log Collector Tool prior to contacting our support team. Please make sure to also have the all relevant information regarding your proxy server configuration. This includes the type of proxy server being used and the version you are running. If you do not regularly have access to this information then I would recommend including the individuals from your organization who do have those details in the conversation.

Forms9i does not run under OC4J

Hi!
I try to run a form under OC4J. The explorer finds and tries to run the form, but then shuts down.
This appears to be happening wether it finds the form or not, when I try this URL:
http://myserver:8889/forms90/f90servlet
the same thing happens. The explorer shuts down.
Any ideas what could be wrong?
Which log files should I have a look at?

Cisco Connect does not run with Mac OSX Mountain Lion (10.8.2)

When I first installed Cisco Connect that came with my E1500 router, I was running Mac OSX Snow Leopard (10.7) and it worked fine. I upgraded my OSX to Mountain Lion and now when I start Cisco Connect, I get:
Unsupported operating system
The router software supports these operating systems:
- Mac OS X 10.5.8 or later
- Mac OS X 10.6.1 or later
- Mac OS X 10.7 or later
I saw some other thread/info/download on Cisco Connect with Lion (10.7) but nothing for Moutain Lion (10.8) - is there a fix forthcoming?

All i want to do is disable the guest function through cisco. i live in an apartment and everyone logs into my guest account. i was at my neighbours and they were laughing saying they done need to subscribe for the internet cause they just log onto local wi fi. and mine is one of them. i dont know if that'll slow down my internet with so many people using it. but all i want to do is just avoid it all together and get rid of it. but in this case i am having the same problem as all of you. to disable the guest function you need to go through cisco connect and it is not compatible with mac osx mountain lion. grrrrrrr

IPhoto does not run under lion OS

I have a 27" iMac purchased in 2010. The hard drive recently went bad but Apple support was able to save my data and replaced the hard drive.
I just upgraded the OS to Lion 10.7. Now my iPhoto will not run. Get the error message "Lion does not support PowerPC applications."
What should I do. I do not want to purchase iPhoto 2011. I have Photoshop Elements 9. Should I just move my photos over to Elements or can I download a free version of iPhoto? I like the simplicity of iPhoto for presentation and small changes.

I think you need an upgrade. If you have a PPC version of iPhoto it must be several years old. You needt to upgrade to the current version. You can purchase iPhoto by itself from the App Store for $20.00.

9i Forms Does it run under tradetional runtime?

i need to know if the oracle 9i forms do run as developer 2000 or 6i at a runtime window out of the browser cuse it works with my only under browser and served by OC4J AS and i thought it might have any configuration needed for some thing like that.................

If traditional means Client/Server, then the answer is that as of Forms9i, forms will no longer run in client server, only Web mode is supported.

GUI does not run under JDK1.4

hope you may help me. I've a big problem with JDK1.4. I can't run
any GUI under it on my laptop. With JDK1.3 everything works fine but
with the new Version I not even can start a simple Frame. If I start
a GUI my cpu runs with full capacity but nothing happings.
Can anyone tell me why this is so?

I don't know exactly about your problem. but there are many problems of jdk1.4 . Any applet compiled in jdk1.4 doesn't run in a browser of the machine which has jdk1.3 . This I have experienced.

Does In Home Agent run under Windows 7. If not, what Windows OS does IHA run under?

IHA doesn't launch properly but oneof its processes seem to be running. IHAstarter.exe doesn't launch IHA but some IHA process says it's already running. I've brought down my firewall, re-installed it from the website but nothing helps. Is it an OS compatability issue?

You may have a problem with iTunes trying to route sharing traffic using IP6 instead of IP4. Try these steps in Windows:
Select Start, then type “Networking and Sharing” to search for the “Network and Sharing Center“.
Choose your active network listed for “Connections“. It’s usually named “Wireless Network Connection 1″, “Wi-Fi 1″ or something similar.
Click the “Properties” button.
If Internet “Protocol Version 6 (TCP/IPv6)” is checked, uncheck it, then click “OK“.
Click “Close“.
Restart iTunes and try to use the Home Sharing feature again.

Creative suite 5 does´nt run with Mac OS 10.10

After changing from OS 10.9 to OS 10.10 most of the applications of my creative suite 5 don´t run. Only the Photoshop and the Bridge work. The update download works, but it can´t install the downloads and tells me to try it later again. So I did this several times but without success. How can I fix it?

also, apple didn't design 10.10 to work with older software versions so if you have a problem, that's an apple issue, not adobe.
finally, if you failed to properly install your cs5 AFTER installing your os, you should uninstall clean and reinstall your software per Use the CC Cleaner Tool to solve installation problems | CC, CS3-CS6

HP Laserjet P1005 does not work under Mac OS X 10.6

Driver is not listed and downloading the driver from HP still does not work. Guess HP has not yet updated for Snow Leopard. Anyone have a work around for now?
I use this little black and white laserjet for all of my documents. Also have a few color Epsons but I do not want to use those for quick and dirty documents.
Any help would be much appreciated.

A required codec isn't available.
To see if additional software is available that will

And if I try to do "Tell Me More", then nothing happens.

WIFI scan Epson Stylus Photo PX710W does not work under OS X 10.9 (Mavericks) and

Since yesterday (27/10) i have installed OS X 10.9 (Mavericks) on my iMac. Now there is a problem with my Epson Stylus Photo PX710W. I cannot scan via WIFI. It seems that the problem is with the scan.app version 3.7.1. I can oly scan via USB and cable, but that's not why I bought a WIFI printer/scanner for.
Is there anybody who can offer me a solution for my problem?
