Does iMovie accept NSV Files

Does iMovie accept NSV files. I have an NSV file that I need to convert to MP4.
Is there any other software that may do this.

Does iMovie accept NSV files.
Must confess that I am not familiar with this compression format but since it is listed as a "streaming" format, I doubt it can be edited in iMovie '08 and therefore would not be allowed to be imported.
Is there any other software that may do this.
You can TRY THIS PAGE. It lists a number of media players that "supposedly" support this format. (However, as you will note, the truth of at least two of these applications is in dispute.)
I have an NSV file that I need to convert to MP4.
Believe you will have more problems than just finding a player here. Unless the player also has the ability to cache and save the data, you will likely have to "screen capture" the streaming file content. Once you can do that, then you should be able to convert the file to a desired compression format.

  • Itunes producer does not accept itmsp file

Having a problem with ITPR accepting the .itmsp package. Neither dropping from Finder nor selecting choose and navigating to file will allow file to drop (greyed out via Finder attempt to open).
Not sure what the problem is…I changed “textbook” to Book on first pane in ITPR because this book is not a textbook, but a book of images. I tried to change back to textbook, but that option is no longer available?
Since all the data is entered I would really prefer not to start from scratch….if it is choosing "book" rather than “textbook” which was mistaken, how to undo?
But that is a guess - any other reason ITPR would not accept the .itmsp file but does accept .ibooks file?
    any help appreciated,

No red K T. To make sure we are on the same page (pane): ITPR>ASSETS with two placeholders...
The issue is that ITPR does not recognize the itmsp file - won't accept it. No error return, just nada.
FWIW, I decided to start again because I've become convinced there is a glitch in ITPR (I've written feedback)
This time I set prefs in iba to open itpr on creation of the itmsp. (That is a lot of abbreviations )
ITPR opens up WITH the itmsp file preloaded and accepts the droppped ibooks file. I am currently re entering 32 price listings - a terrible waste of time. Hope you can add the feedback I just have to the iba and itpr teams....

  • Does imovie supports avchd files

does imovie 11 supports avchd files?

Yes, Maybe and No.  For iMovie '11, the answer is spread across a number of support responses and in the details of the technical requirements of the related products.
Yes.  It appears that if you keep the SD card in the camera and direct connect it to your Mac you may import and it will allow you to select the clips (as shown in the iMovie '11 import video -- Artcile VI104).  (But see notes below under Maybe and No.)
Maybe.  If you don't have the camera anymore, but you can copy the entire directory structure of the SD card over to a drive and copy it to a disk image then you should be able to import using an import command and choose the mounted disk image.  (But see note below under No.)
No.  If your resolution is set too high for iMovie then it will not import.  For example, using the disk image workaround I was able to get iMovie to show that clips were present, but it would not allow importing because they were originally done at 60p (Panasonic SD90 1080p).  The clip import window (as shown in Article VI104) shows different clips, but they show up as black with red "no" line across them with a "60."
If you want to import then make sure your resolution and frame rate is supported by iMovie.
The other options seem to be:
Buy a software transcoder specific to the purpose of converting .mts file to some other format for iMovie.
Transcode via Handbrake or Toast (results were not great in my opinion).
Toast workaround.  Create a DVD image in Toast and mount and import the image.  This works great.  There is a video on YouTube for it.  The one problem is that Toast will break large clips into smaller DVD files.  It did not seem to lose data, but now one large clip was three our four smaller ones and the time/date data was lost.  You have to reorder them in iMovie.  Quality was fine.  Time needed was OK.  Workflow was awful because of the larger clips being split.
Rewrap the .mts file in something iMovie can handle.  Seems to work fine and is the quickest so far.  There are pay-for wrappers and free wrappers/automator files available.

  • ITunes 10.2.1 does not accept audio-file downloads

I just updated to iTunes 10.2.1 a couple of days ago, and today discovered that I can no longer drag and drop audio files from http://www.freeotrshows.com/ as I have been doing for several months.
With the previous version of iTunes, for example, I'd go to the above site, click on a show, drag and drop it into my iTunes window (into my playlist called "Old Time Radio"). No problem.
Now, when I drag it to the window, the little green "copy" icon appears with the cursor arrow, but nothing happens. The audio file never appears. No informational message appears. When I move the cursor, the green copy icon disappears. A total non-event.
How do I get 10.2.1 to do what the previous versions have done? (And yes, the audio files are free downloads.)
    Thanks for any real solutions.

I solved my problem I tried several other programs to play my music and since nothing seemed to work, i started deleting other software from my computer and apparently Uniblue's RegistryBooster was the one that caused the problem. Now able to enjoy music from my computer again

Have you done a search for the project name? Could be in your Movies folder - what destination did you assign for it when you began the project?

  • Does imovie create video_ts files?

I am tryng to get my movie out of iMovie and onto a DVD.  I know that Apple used to provide iDisk and iMovie communicated directly with it.  So, now that Apple has decided that DVDs are dead, how do we get from iMovie to a DVD?  I just purchased Dragon Burn to do the disk creation.  What I need is for iMovie to generate the VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS files.  How is that done?
    thaks

    You need iDVD.
Why is there no iDVD on my new Mac? How do I get it and how do I install it?

  • What format does Imovie Accept

Hello community, i just got a macbook a month ago, and now im trying to make a movie in Imovie, but when i try to drag the video from my usb to Imovie there happens nothing, the format is .AVI
So does any of you got a idea of what i should do?
    Merry Chrismas from:

You need to convert the .avi format... I use something from WonderShare but it's $40 - just Googled and found this. Since it's free, it wouldn't hurt to give it a try. You can also try the WonderShare converter for a certain period of time - see if it works for you.

  • Does FCPX accept video files taken on Galaxy 3S?

    Hello to all,
Can anyone who uses both Galaxy S3 and FCPX tell me?

Video could be imported from an iPhone before the library was copied to an external drive.
The video that was imported before the library was moved could be read before and after the library was moved to an external drive.
Video from the same iPhone cannot be imported into the library once the library had moved ton an external drive.
The problem is that video can no longer be imported into the library that was moved to an external drive. Photos from the same iPhone can be imported and read.

  • IMovie and .mov files

    Hi!
I just received some videos for my wedding on a hard disk that are .mov codec: HDV 1080i50, Integer(little Endian), Timecode. They do not open with iMovie. So I guessed the format was wrong and tried it with Quicktime, however I only have sound with Quicktime Pro- no images. I tried to convert the file with free online converters and get the image with a horrible watermark over it saying EVALUATION. So I am sure there are images behind it, but unsure as to how to convert with iMovie or Quicktime.
My question is, what formats does iMovie accept. And can I convert with Quicktime?
    Thanks!

.. Should I re-post this question under Final Cut discussions?
no need, same answer: _this codec can only be read by FinalCutPro_ .. fullstop.
.. They have advised that I use Final Cut Studio (version light)... .
    nonsense, no such thing.
plus, conversion needs max. 3x of realtime on a professional Mac.. no need to sit by, launch process, let Mac alone over night, done.
Plan B) ask for tapes and any HDV-corder (rent such a thing, next shop, 'testing' ..)
import from tape on your own.. no special hardware needed, works, up from iMovie vers5 (five!) - 09, or FCE3-4 ..

Have you tried turning off automatic transitions ? Choose file - project properties and follow the dialogue box to change duration with a slider.  iMovie also doesn't allow a transition to be more than 50% duration of the clip its attached to. In other words if the clip is 4 seconds the transition cannot be more than 2 seconds and remember that relates to the first clip as the following clip (right side) is pulled back to overlay it.
Does this help.  Perhaps you already know this ?

  • IMovie wont accept .mov files. Help please.

I have imported a bunch of movie files from my digital camera. They are now in IPhoto and everything is fine. I would like to import them into IMovie to do some editing but for some reason it will not accept the file. Does anyone know what I am doing wrong? All of the files i am trying to move into IMovie are .mov files. Shouldnt they work? Please help.

Does anyone know what I am doing wrong? All of the files i am trying to move into IMovie are .mov files. Shouldnt they work?
Not necessarily. MOV is a generic file container -- not a compression format. It can hold any audio and video compression format combination compatible with the QT structure and currently installed QT components. (Even WMV content can be placed in an MOV container.) Unfortunately, iMovie '08 will only import files containing compression formats that it can edit "natively." Kodak digital cameras, for instance, tend to favor MPEG4/µ-Law compression. And, while the MPEG-4 video is compatible with iMovie '08, the µ-Law 2:1 audio compression is not. To import an MOV file, both audio and video compression must be compatible. In the case of the MPEG4/µ-Law file, only the audio format has to be converted to make the file compatible. One way to do this is to use GarageBand to access the "Movie to MPEG-4" export option and "Pass through" the video which converting the audio to AAC -- mono 64 kbps at 44.1 kHz will work here -- and place both in an MP4 container. Another method is to simply convert both audio and video to compatible formats using a converter of your choice.

  • How do I open a iMovie 2.0 file in iMovie HD? Does it convert?

How do I open a iMovie 2.0 file in iMovie HD? Does it convert?
I have a movie from iMovie vers. 2.0.1. I want to open it on our new Mac Mini which uses iMovie HD 5.0.2.
Please tell me this is doable. Or can I get a copy of iMovie 2.0 to run it on my new Mac? I want to make copies of the movie by burning a dvd. Pls help.

iMovie 2.0.1 ran in Mac OS 9, not Mac OS X. If I recall, it is necessary to boot your Mac into Mac OS 9 to run it. It won't run in Mac OS 9 Classic running inside Mac OS X. Your Mac cannot boot into Mac OS 9, so you probably can't run iMovie 2.0.1.
You probably wouldn't want to anyway, for versions of iMovie that ran in Mac OS 9 used the OS 9 file name structure, which causes problems for projects converted to Mac OS X.
The simplest solution is to simply import the project.mov file that's inside the iMovie 2 project folder to a new iMovie HD project. (Don't import the iMovie 2 project file, import its .mov file.) Because of the name problem, it's possible this won't work either, but it probably will.
That will deliver the entire iMovie 2 project as a single clip to the iMovie HD project. The clips you had in iMovie 2 won't be editable, but everything will be there and play in the proper order.
