If this question is related to your personal? then just give a try, during domain creation you come to know its supported or not.

  • Does Informatica 7.1 work with Oracle 10g?

    Hi All,
I have Oracle 10g (10.2.0.1.0) and I just installed Informatica 7.1. While creating a new repository in Informatica Repository Admin Console, I am getting error as:

I confirmed that the license keys are correct. The database connection is also good as I could connect using the same username/password in SQLPlus. The activity log says:

    Hi,
I found that with Oracle 10g you have to grant all DBA privileges to the repository user. This is not needed in Oracle 9i. Thats why I was getting error.
    Now it works fine.
    Thanks!

  • Does Informatica 8.6.1 support BIApps7.9.6.3?

when I use Informatica 8.6.1 to restore the contents of Oracle_BI_DW_Base.rep(BIApps7.9.6.3),it has prompt message as follow:
Backup file repository version : 181 Current repository version : 179
File backup version : 10 Current backup version : 10
    so I think Informatica 8.6.1 unsupport BIApps7.9.6.3 ?
I also install the HotFix11 of informatica, but it still doesn't work.
I know the Informatica 9.0 support the BIApps7.9.6.3,but now we don't have Informatica 9.0,
so how can we use Informatica 8.6.1 to restore the contents of Oracle_BI_DW_Base.rep(BIApps7.9.6.3)?
    Any help is greatly appreciated.

Unfortunately you will need to upgrade your Informatica to 9.0 as per the 7963 system requirements:
    4.3.2 Informatica PowerCenter Requirements
Oracle BI Applications release 7.9.6.3 requires Informatica PowerCenter V9.0.1 with Hotfix 2. If you license Informatica PowerCenter with Oracle BI Applications, you access Informatica PowerCenter software in the BI Media Pack on eDelivery.
If you license Informatica PowerCenter separately and you do not have Informatica PowerCenter V9.0.1 and Hotfix 2, you must upgrade your Informatica PowerCenter license to V9.0.1 and Hotfix 2 before deploying Oracle BI Applications.
Informatica 9.0 is packaged as OEM with the BI Applications so you have the option of using the Oracle packaged Informatica installation.

  • Does the oracle golden gate version 11.1.1.1.2 support oracle 12C database ?

    Hi experts,
Currently in our environment we are having Oracle Database 10g Enterprise Edition Release 10.2.0.5.0 - 64bit DB which is replicated via oracle golden gate version 11.1.1.1.2. As per the application team requirement we need to migrate this database to 12C.
Can any one help me on the below queries
Does the oracle golden gate version 11.1.1.1.2 support oracle 12c database ?
Are there any syntax changes in oracle goldengate versions which needs to be taken care in extract or replicat parameter files ?
    Thanks,
    Mushraff Shaik

    Hi,
    >>Does the oracle golden gate version 11.1.1.1.2 support oracle 12c database ?
Why do you think it will not support 12c database ?
From a Golden Gate perspective you need to create schema and use that.  As you are moving to 12c database, ideally you should think of upgrading Golden Gate 11.1 to 12c so you can use new feature such as Multi Threaded replicate etc..

  • SQL Developer does not support Oracle 8i

    Hi,
I was waiting a tool from Oracle like SQL Developer for a long time, finally it came, but I am a little disapointed, so Why SQL Developer does not support Oracle 8i? Other free tools like SQUIRREL can do it. I also have worked in previous projects using PL/SQL Developer and it works fine...Why a native Oracle tool can not do it?
I am in a project where we have to upgrade the Oracle database to a newer version, but I cannot have access to the old one...
I know there are some threads in this forum, and some people can work with 8i with no issues. Can anyone who works with SQL Developer and Oracle 8i please tell me how to do it?
    Thanks,

That's what I thought, the issue is more commercial ($$$) than technical. Anyway...I downloaded the version 1.1 but now I am getting an ORA-02248: invalid option for ALTER SESSION error. 00604. 00000 "error occurred at recursive SQL level %s".

  • Does OEM Grid Control 10g support monitoring Oracle Portal 10g?

    Dear expert,
It seems OEM GC 10g could monitor WebCenter, Weblogic portal and even Websphere portal, but I could not find any info for Oracle Portal. So,
    1.     Does OEM GC support to monitor Oracle Portal 10g? If not, does it support Oracle Portal 11g?
    2.     If does not support Oracle Portal, then is there any workaround for it? E.g. if it’s feasible through “web appliation”?
Any comment and docs are welcome.
    Thank you in advance.

    Hi Rob,
    Thanks for your help.
BTW, I have another question for your reply, that what do u mean by “You can use Oracle Enterprise Manager to monitor and manage OracleAS Portal”?
Do you mean OEM AS Console or OEM GC? Boz I only find these metrics from OEM AS Console, which mentioned in this doc. http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B16240_01/doc/em.102/b25987/oracle_portal.htm#CHDFJHDD
If these metrics only available in AS Console, then how to let the OEM send out email notification if critical threshold is over?
    Thank you.
    Tony

  • Does NFS support Oracle RAC with TAF ?

    Hi,
Does NFS support Oracle RAC with TAF feature. ?
If yes, please point to some valid document to prove the same.
    Regards
    Sumit

TAF has nothing to do with the underlying storage architecture and is therefore 'supported' with your choice of asm, raw devices, cluster file system and NFS. NFS is supported on some platforms. For more details, check the certify tab in metalink. Some information can also be found here
TAF will be available on any rac installation, but not all drivers support it (jdbc-thin for example)

Yes, you have to specify it as java.sql.Types.OTHER and use the

  • Does Oracle Lite support Oracle Spatial

Does anybody know whether Oracle Lite or Personal Oracle supports the Oracle Spatial plug-in. Also, for extra credit does anybody know what the difference between Personal Oracle and Oracle Lite is?
We will be needing to provide some attribute and spatial data from our Oracle Enterprise database to several laptops for field personnel using an electronic map we developed. We would like to use a portable version of Oracle that supports Oracle Spatial objects.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks

oh, I didn't realize it was so limited. No, that won't do. We're looking for a "mini" version of the real production database including stored code, triggers etc. Should be scaled down enough to allow rapid syncing of data and schema changes from the production (or really QA) database, but full enough to include the objects necessary to allow the developers to test their code changes to the front end applicaiton on their own environment.
