Does installed cs3 interfere with installation of new cs6 subscription?

This is for photoshop.   Also does new scription download automatically uninstall the existing cs3 program.?

no, you should be able to install and use cs3 and cs6 apps on the same computer.

When I try starting Photoshop, for example, it tells me uninstall then reinstall the product OR contact product support.
However, when I phone product support, it says there is no product support for CS3 and to go to the Forums.
    Thank you.

  • Does Dreamweaver CS3 work with 64 bit version of Windows 7?

Windows 7, 64 bit, Home Premium was clean installed.  I had no difficulty reinstalling Dreamweaver CS3, but when I try to open a file I get a message that  says." A problem has caused the program to stop working correctly.  Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available."  Apparently none is.  So my question is, does Dreamweaver CS3 work with the 64 bit version of Windows 7?  If not, does CS4 work or would I be wasting money by upgrading?

I just installed it and ran it fine.  I have Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit
Make sure it is a clean install from a fresh "boot".  I ran into problems the first time when I tried to install it right after I installed another program.  I simply uninstalled it.....which took a long long time, but after it was removed and I rebooted, everything went fine.

Installing CS3 I get 'Installer Database is Corrupt' error message. I have done a clean install upgrade from Windows 7 Home Premium to W7 Professional and get this message. Program was working fine before the upgrade. 64 bit version of Windows.
The disc I have is an upgrade from earlier versions.

  • Trouble with installation on new HD

    Hi guys,
I had a bit of a problem with my mac (grey screen, flashing question mark) so i bought a copy of 10.4.3 to boot from and reinstall as I has lost my original 10.2 disc that came with my mac. When i tried to install the installer couldn't see my hard drive and it couldn't be seen on the disk utility either. So I came to the conclusion that my HD had failed, I had everything pretty much backed up onto an external usb drive so this was not too much of a concern. I decided to install a new internal drive and install my new OSX onto that and start from scratch.
Again the OSX installer couldn't see my HD, but the disk utility could. So I had to erase the disk, restore it from the CD and finally the installer cuold see the HD and I was able to install. When the installer has finished the machine reboots.
Now it does not seem to be able to get past the grey screen with the apple and the rotating disc that indicates it is loading. I have left it on for hours and it does not seem able to get onto the desktop. How long should this be taking? Have I done something wrong?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Yep, that would solve the problem, though usually is unnecessary. I'm glad though you found a solution which works for you. If you ever run into this again, let us know, and we'll walk you through some other suggestions.

  • Installing CS3 Upgrade Version on a NEW PC

    Hello,
I've had a lot of problems contacting Adobe and hope you can help me.
I'm getting a new PC soon and want to install my copy of CS3 Design Standard. The disk here is an upgrade disk as I had the original creative suite (also an upgrade disk). Before that I had Photoshop 6.0, InDesign 2.0 etc.
How would I install CS3 successfully?
    Thanks!

How would I install CS3 successfully?
Probably not at all. New PC means Win 7 or Win 8 and CS3 is not compatible at all with the latter and exposes some not so minor issues with the otehr. Beyond that, if you feel adventurous, al lyou need is your CS3 and you will be asked for a serial of a previous product. Just expect this to be an unpleasant experience and don't say you haven't been warned. Of course you might end up happy like a kid on Christmas on the odd chance it may work without a hitch...

  • Install CS3 along with DW8?

Can I install CS3 Design Premium without uninstalling DW 8?
I've tried searching for this info but haven't been able to find it
so far. I'm running on Windows XP Pro if that makes a difference.
I want to start using the other pieces of CS3 but want to
continue using DW8 until I finish my current project.
    Thanks.

    Sure, you can.

  • Cannot Install CS3 Contribute with SMS

    The Adobe documentation page
    http://help.adobe.com/en_US/Contribute/4.1_CPS/help.html?content=con_config_deploy_cd_18.h tml
states that you can install Contribute with SMS. However if you try
to run the msi using MSIexec the program tells you to run with
setup! Setup is an initialising package which then starts another
setup and performs the actual install. Hence it is not possible to
reliably install the product with SMS unless it is
    repackaged!

I am getting the exact same message and have the same problem, it won't install the other applications. Did you get an answer to your question?

  • Does the N800 work with a Rhapsody to Go subscript...

    hello,
I just today heard of the Nokia n800 device and i read in a wiki where someone said that he used his device with his Rhapsody to go subscription, but I need to know for certain if this is true or not. Also does the n800 allow you so view photos, even a slideshow possibly?
the other players I've been considering ar the Archos 604 Wifi and the iPod Touch 16gig.
    Thanks for you help,
    Jeff

Nope it doesn't come with a disc to install the software. You can get that easily from this website. Although some might remember that the earlier iPods came with a disc to install iTunes. I believe it also gave you some of the necessary drivers, but thankfully its not needed anymore.

  • CS3 Design Premium installation on new machine

Hi hoping you can advise me as I'm a recent member of the forum.
I'm running CS3 Design Premium at work (am hoping to upgrade the software later this year) and am in the process of getting a new desktop (Dell T3500, 1 intel Xeon W3680 3.06Ghz processor, 6GB Ram, 500MB HD, 1GB video card, Windows 7 64-Bit (tho they may just install XP for now)).  This machine will be 'mine' for the next 5yrs so I want to make sure that I get one that will 'do the job'.
My IT dept have asked me to find out if the above software would benefit from a machine with a dual core or quad core processor, is the support out their from Adobe for quad core processors?  I will admit I have no idea so thought I'd ask you guys .
Any help/advice you can give on the hardware spec would be greatly appreciated.
    A.

    Steve,
Thanks for getting back to me with regards to my HD query re Design Premium
    - I've taken the info and forwarded it to my IT dept with some other stuff
    I found through the forum.

  • Problem with installation of new WRT160N

I am trying to install my new wireless router using the Linksys CD. When I get to the step that requires me to unplug the network cable from the computer and plug it into the router, my computer announces the cable is unplugged and I can't restore the connection. My computer has always required a reboot if the network cable is unplugged before it can be reconnected to the Internet.
The installation goes to step 4 where you plug in power to the router and will not proceed from that point. You can retry but to no avail. By then Network Magic is installed and my old connection software is disabled. When I troubleshoot with Network Magic it says the cable is not connected. I followed the directions to the letter. I double checked every connection. I tried several times after resetting the router each time. The only way I can connect to my ISP again is to uninstall Network Magic, remove the router, reconnect the network cable to the computer, and reboot.

I would suggest that you leave Network Magic uninstalled for now -- and try to set up the connection manually using the directions in the following links
Check one of these links depending on your type of service....
http://tinyurl.com/yhp6tew - set up a router with Cable ISP
http://tinyurl.com/qql7wx - set up a router with DSL ISP
and if you are setting up a wireless connection - http://tinyurl.com/y9re3nt -- Setting-Up Wireless Security on a Linksys Router
After the procedure(s) are done a correct power cycle may help -- turn off the PC, the Router and then the Modem (in that order) and then power them back on in reverse order and wait for the correct lights to settle before moving on to the next device
If you are still having problems you should check for a possible driver update for your network adaptor - check this in "Device Manager" if you are using a Windows PC
If you are still having the issue - a firmware version upgrade may be in order - but try the above suggestions first - and if you have to check back for more help, supply as much detail as possible such as...your operating system, type of ISP, type of adaptor in your PC (wired, or wireless G or N) and what you have tried so far and the results you received

  • Does the Java 1.6 installer include new javascript as well?

I keep running into problems with Java apps that functioned perfectly well under the 1.5 implementation, but now that I'm running 1.6, those apps aren't happy. I think what I'm seeing is related to trouble with javascript.
Does anyone know if the 64-bit Java 1.6 implementation for Leopard also installs an updated javascript implementation?
    Tks.
    e

Java has nothing to do with Javascript other than those four letters.
Java 1.6 is still a preview release. Unless you absolutely need it, you shouldn't be running it. You can have multiple VMs installed. You only want to use 1.6 for the handful of applications that require it.

  • Installing OS10.6 with parallels 8 New iMac

I installed windows 7 Pro on new 27in iMac with 1TB fusion drive. It runs great. Would like to install a second virtual machine running 10.6 Snow Leopard. I saw a few you tube videos of this configuration running . I have a regular Snow Leopard disc. I read an older discussion doing this with Parallels 7
    Thanks
    Med

Did you carefully follow these directions including substep 9:
    4. Launch Terminal (/Applications/Utilities/); cut and paste or carefully type the following 4 commands into Terminal and, after each, hit Return/Enter:
    5. Change to the directory where the image is located.
    cd Desktop
    6. ...
    7. ..
    8. ... At this point you have two files - SuperDrive.cdr and SuperDrive.cdr.shadow on the Desktop.
    9. Create a new DVD/CD master disk image ’SuperDrive-Server.cdr’ which is the same as SuperDrive.cdr, but with the change included.
hdiutil convert -format UDTO -o SuperDrive-Server.cdr SuperDrive.cdr -shadow
    10. Quit Terminal and continue with STEP TWO, using SuperDrive-Server.cdr in place of SuperDrive.cdr. If you wish you can now delete SuperDrive.cdr and SuperDrive.cdr.shadow - they are no longer needed.
You must be using a new Mac OS X Snow Leopard Install DVD, freshly purchased from Apple for $19.99 and not a restore disc or other form of Snow Leopard disc.
