** The new iPhone 5 with new camera technology with new panoramic..... Hummm iPhone 4s with IOS6 does it too...
** Fly over 3d maps in the new iPhone 5.... Well the IPhone 4s with IOS6 Does this too
** Siri has evolved into something more responsive ....Iphone 4s with IOS6 does this too ...and about time as the 4s Siri was useless.
The only points worth are the new looks, bigger screen, , weight ... well steel v Aluminium .. It’s not science which is lighter.
So Apple why should I get a new iPhone 5, with your amazing technology. And the war over Samsung I think you lost the ball
You could have added an extra camera at the back to make 3d Side by Side HD video, now that’s a good selling point but I wonder if Samsung will patent it before you...

Tried to install ios6 today via iTunes. Received error message that there was an issue with the install (similar to whats being said on other posts) and needed to restore, tried to restore twice, and now my phone is no longer recognized by iTunes and is "stuck" with just the apple and a blank installation bar underneath it. Just wondering if I buy an iPhone from the Canadian apple store if it will have the option of using Siri in German. It's important for me that it can, so I'm not sure if I want to get it off the apple store here or find a european one that does have the German included.

No, there isn't. You can always only update to the latest version of iOS your device supports, and for an iPhone 4 that is as of today iOS 7.0.4. Many people have reported being quite satisfied with the performance of iOS 7 on an iPhone 4, but if you are concerned, you'll have to leave the iPhone on iOS 5.

Try try again. The servers are busy. The slower your internet connection, the harder it will be to get through. Disabling security software like antivirus and firewall will help it not drop the connection and "time out". Essentially the computer decided, "I've waited long enough" and gives up. Security software effects this by scanning everything processing, cross checking junk, which burns more time. Thus it times out.

If your iTunes is the latest version, restart your computer and reboot your iPhone. Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously ignoring the red slider until the Apple logo appears. Let go of the buttons and let the iPhone restart. See if that fixes your problem.

No Siri is preinstalled. Check you have enabled Siri correctly in Settings>General>Siri>ON and ensure you have completed the My Info correctly. Siri uses the information in your My Info which is taken from your contact card to respond. Also Siri is still in beta and currently uses limited languages i.e.
English (United States, United Kingdom, Australia)
French (France)
German (Germany)
Finally just check your restrictions in Settings>General>Restrictions>Siri>ON

I'm all mac-based and followed the instructions for the upgrade to iOS6 software for iPhone but now my calendars won't synq. When I connect to iTunes and run the synq process, it gets stuck on the Calendar step and will not finish the synq process. I have to either wait for it to quit or force it to quit. Additionally, when I try to log a new event or meeting onto the Calendar on the iPhone, it will lock up and quit the app. I then have to shut down the iPhone to get it to open again but it just locks up again when I try to log a new event. Any suggestions? I'm tempted to do a back up and reinstall but don't want to risk any data loss.

Unfortunately no. The only way the phone backs up is if you make it back up. You either connect to iTunes and backup and sync, or you set it up for a wifi sync to iCloud. But you have to setup iCloud to start with. You have learned a hard lesson on how to make sure you import pictures on a regular basis like you would the digital camera. When things happen to the phone, this is the media that is lost the most (pictures in camera roll). After taking a number of pictures, and especially ones you consider important, you should connect the phone to the computer and import them, so there is a backup copy on the computer.
Contacts are saved in the backup as well, however they are really designed to be synced to a supported application on the computer, or backed up to iCloud or other cloud service. And, the only way to go back in time on the phone is to restore from a backup, but you also have to remember, you would lose everything on the phone that you had done since that backup, so it is a double edged sword.

Firstly, try a hard reset. Hold the sleep/wake and home buttons together until the Apple logo appears.
If this doesn't work, try restoring your device. Put it in recovery mode if iTunes doesn't recognise it, and restore it from there. I have linked to instructions below.
