Does IOS 5.1 Face detection work with iPhone 4

I have upgrade IOS to 5.1 and face detection on the camera application does not seem to work. It doesn't seem to work on my iPad2 either. has anyone gotten this function/feature to work on either the iPhone 4 or iPad2?

To my knowledge it is not available on the iPhone 4. Checking the iOS 5.1 User Guide, it just mentions the iPhone 4S. http://manuals.info.apple.com/en_US/iphone_user_guide.pdf

IOS 8.2 will not work with IPhone 5S

my iPhone 5s had a prompt to update to IOS 8.2, and when I did my phone stopped working! Now the apple symbol and a blue screen keep switching on my screen but I cannot use the phone. I am on vacation and now have no phone!

I have this same problem. My phone has now been demoted to a very expensive paper weight. Tried to update IOS about 3 hours ago. Now phone is stuck with the "apple" on screen. Won't do ANYTHING! Seriously reconsidering my next upgrade in ~2 months...

It should. It will only respond if there's something on the card for it to respond to, so do you have pics on the card?
And if it's messing up; try giving the iPad a restart. Hold down the sleep and home keys, past when you see hte red power down slider and until you see the silver apple. Let it reboot and try again. That can clear up any glitches on the device itself.

If you have as yet been unable to use this 30pin to lightning bolt adapter, I would like to recommend the troubleshooting in the following article to help you get that squared away:
If you need help with iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch accessories
These sections in particular since you have already done a couple of them:
Disconnect and inspect the accessory, then restart your device
Disconnect the accessory and turn it off, if possible.
Inspect the connection between the accessory and device and make sure that no debris or other damage is present.
Restart your iOS device by turning it off, then back on. When the Home screen appears, reconnect the accessory.
Restore iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
Restore your iOS device. You should rarely need to use this step with an accessory issue. If the issue only affects a third-party accessory, contact the manufacturer before restoring the device.

IPhone 4 iOS 4.2 doesn't work with Alpine iDA-X001

I just get an error message on the head unit saying 'ipod not supported' and the iphone comes up saying 'device not made to work with iPhone' it's a different message to the one that always says' not optimized for iphone, may cause interference'
It worked fine on iOS 4.1 and below, never had a problem but started doing this weird dropping out and crackling thing when i upgraded to 4.1.2.

There are a bunch of us that can't use our car audio headunits via usb. And a large subset with the iDA-X001 - I'm in your boat as well: crackling distortion on the last update, and now nothing, just an ipod error message.
I tried switching the cable, tried all the suggestions for resetting the phone and headunit, and plugging the cable in at different times. Even tried restoring the phone. I still get nothing but "ipod error" on my iDA-X001. I am back to using my Nano until they get this sorted. I can only hope that whatever they broke with the last update will be fixed in iOS4.3, which is rumored to be out in December.

No sound comes out of the stereo dock or car stereo. In Best Buy today, Sales Associate tried his iPhone 5 running iOS 8 on a stereo dock. It worked, but my iPhone 6 didn't. When will Apple fix this problem? Or is Apple pushing everyone to Bluetooth?

The iPod feature that plays through USB in my car does not work with my iPhone 6 either. I called AppleCare and they said that the car audio system will need a firmware update. Don't know if Apple is just passing the buck, but that is what I was told. Thank you for posting. I know now that I am not the only one. Thanks also for posting about the iPhone 5 running iOS 8. I gave away my iPhone 5 to a friend so I wasn't sure whether this is an iOS 8 issue or an iPhone 6 issue and your experience seems to confirm that it is a problem with iPhone 6. Ring up iHome and ask them for a fix... And if they cant supply you with a fix... Then you should be entitled to a replacement or a upgrade, as firmware upgrades on your ios device should not affect audio products......

Delete the pairing and then re-pair the devices.
There are no supported methods to downgrade the iOS.

If the Belkin supports the A2DP (Stereo Bluetooth) profile then it will work.

It contains some issues that people have encountered with Lion and Office 2008. It appears it can work, but you may have to go through some of the steps a few of the posters there have listed.
That website also contains a pretty large list of applications and if they will work with Lion.

Why Does Live View In DW Not Work With BC Template?

The live view using a BC template in DW CS6 shows "PAGE NOT FOUND" in the body section but the header and footer look fine. I should also point out that the index.htm page works fine, it's just the other pages that have this problem. What makes it weirder is that the site works fine in all other modes including when viewing in a normal browser, it's ONLY when in live view! I also noticed that if I delete the .htm extension in the url in the DW browser when in Live View it fixes the problem, but this requires me to do this everytime I want to switch to live view and surely is either a problem with how the BC template files are named or DW CS6 is buggy? Hopefully this is an easy one to answer??
