if it increase battery i want to know if it reduce the iphone speed ,as after ios 7.1 my iphone got more speed but the battery drainage increased

I just recently returned an IPad air and exchanged it for another. I first set up this new one as a new IPad but then deleted all content and settings right away (since I wasn't getting the progress I had made in apps and games) in order to restore it from my previous IPad Air. I then checked after on how to backup via icloud and saw this line under the subtitle of how to restore from a backup, "For best battery performance, leave your device connected to a power source until the restore is complete." What does Apple mean by "for best battery performance"? Im just a bit worried of issues.
p.s. And yes I did have it connected to the power. And the ios is the default ios for new IPad Airs.

Welcome to the Apple Community.
It only means you should restore whilst it is connected to a power supply, so that your battery doesn't go flat during the process.

It is not the app, it is Find My iPhone enabled with your iCloud account settings on the iPhone.

yeah, in itunes if you select your phone, you should get tabs across the top for what to sync, under photos uncheck the box

After updating the ios 7.0.4 getting battery performance issue

I just did the update on last day and after I unplugged from charging overnight my battery drained over 19% in a 2 hours on standby!!!!
Even i had everything turned off like wi-fi,cellular data, background app refresh etc...but the result is same.I am not happy with this now.
I don't know without performing proper testing how they are releasing fixes.
On 6.1.3 everything was ok , i want to go back with my earlier version only. can any one suggest me on this?

I have followed the same tips earlier (After upgrade) but there is no result, especially i have noticed that only during night hours it looses charging, last list night after hard reset i have kept the charging of 100% arround at 11:00pm and again i have checked on next day morning arround at 6:00am it shows 25% only.
In just earlier release 7.0.3 i dont face these kind of problem. Once i did complete charging easily i can use the phone 2 days. i am waiting for next release may be that resolves my issue.

How to improve battery performance in mountain lion?

Battery backup time has decreased by more than 1 hour after installing mountain lion. I have a macbook pro 13" early 2011 model.

This is a fairly common issue with macbook pro users who updated to Mountain Lion. Hopefully Apple will fix this in 10.8.1. Unfortunately, there does not seem to be a true fix out there right now.

3.1 Improved Battery Performance

Since updating the firmware to the 3.1 I seem to be getting increased battery life. I'm on 3 1/2 hours of usage and the battery meter reads 50%. I'm at 6 hours and 55 minutes on standby. And this is with Push, notification on and WiFi, Bluethooth turned off. I've been on the phone, web browsing, and texting. Brightness set in the middle with auto-setting. Normally I can average around 4 1/2-5 hours on a full charge. So this only gave me about an 1- 1 1/2 hour more battery life. Anyone out there notice this or is your battery the same?

it is now acting as the 3gs was advertised.
i haven't had a chance to do a full cycle yet (they started approving updates again if you haven't noticed hehe) since i have it plugged in every now and again getting updates.
since i saw the initial improvement i have been leaving location on, push notifications (mobile me email) on, haven't messed with wifi other than to make sure it worked... i also leave 3g on but am in an edge (2g) area most of the time although i did venture into 3g for a few hours today.
i didn't do a clean restore (i used the backup of the 3.0.1 which was a clean restore to get around some battery issues originally) just let the update restore the backup it made.
so far so good for me... i wonder if the common thread will be anyone who did a clean restore for 3.0 is fine on 3.1 and the ones who didn't do a clean restore on 3.0 are having issues?

After I updated my iphone 4S to 7.1.1, there is always problem with Facetime and Skype. Wifi just drops for no reason. I have tried everything, resetting the phone and freezing for 10 min, but nothing helped. Hope Apple will fix this bug soon.

Not sure if it would help or not, but if you haven't already done so, some things you could try are:
Tap Sign Out on the top right of the app, then sign back in
Force close the app by going to the home screen, double-tapping the home button, locating the app in the list at the bottom, tapping and holding the app until it wiggles, tapping to close it, then tapping the home button again.
Go to Settings>iCloud on your phone, turn Find My iPhone off, the after a minute or so, turn it back on.

I finally decided to turn this annoyance into an opportunity. After a lot of experimenting I found that my iPad was just fine under 7.1 if I simply restored it as new. I have a lot of time on my hands and I had 1424 apps on my iPad! This is why every attempt to restore took so long.
I decided to restore as new, spend a day restoring the apps I really used. Doing so gave me a quick iPad with only bout a quarter of the storage used.
Granted it was a pain in the arse, but I wrote it off as in the old days when you had to do this with windows 95 just to keep a stable system.
I DO have some data in a few files of the now unused backup but a quick google search finds a couple Mac programs out there that will allow you go extract audio recordings, app data files etc. from the backup. I'll do that someday if I even miss the files I've probably forgotten that are there.
Anyway, there was nothing wrong with my hardware. I think there were just some troublesome setup items that 7.1 didn't like. Once set up as new, the ipad was fine.

What can i do if the battery doesnt last me 6 hours?

my macbook pro is a 15 inches 2,3 Ghz, with mountain lion 10.8.2
i know what all the answers will say, check activity monitor, well the highest activity is kernel_task with 3.8% and im noit going to delete that process or ill be regreted..
any ways, my keyboard light is off, the brightness is the minimum, and the bluetooth is off too.
the battery is lasting me no more than 4 hours, 3.5 hours is the major times..
what can i do?
im charging the mbp everyday!!!! and i bougth it in august 23

First, document the battery performance by charging your MBP fully, pulling the power adapter, setting the Brightness to 50%, max out Energy Saver (set both to Never), and switching on Safari. Don't turn on any other process. This is one way Apple determines if a machine is using too much battery. Under these conditions, you should be getting seven hours.
