Does Ipad - 2 require its own data plan

Does an ipad 2 require its own data plan?

Yes - if it is a 3G iPad. Each 3G device requires its own data plan. You do not have to activate a data plan - you can just use the WiFi and get a data plan if and when you need it.

No, it won't work.. the Airports are not media devices.. they have no brains .. no media extensions.. and itunes must be running on a computer.
You can however watch movies from storage but not with itunes..
See how people use tools like VLC to get around Apple's built in iTunes limitations.

  • Does Webcenter Portal Require Its Own Weblogic Domain

Hello folks, I am trying to install webcenter portal in a HA configuration but I have noticed that whenver I try to run config.sh to extend the HA domain the program errors out with a message about invalid template "CFGFWK-64056 - There is a problem with the template!".
Now whenever I run config.sh and select the option to create new domain the program runs to completion sucesfully.
So my question is if webcenter portal requires its own domain and administration server or if I can install it on a domain that is used for other applications also.
I appreciate your help and thank you in advance.
    Andre

it does not require own domain, you can extend with your existing domain also,
try to extend the domain from start>webcenter configuration wizard,

  • Lost ipad - Need to cancel recurring data plan

Surely there is a way to cancel the dataplan that is automatically charged to my debit card each month? ?? I no longer have the Ipad so I cannot cancel the plan using Settings, and I don't know what the device number was as the Ipad is gone. I continue to get charged $20/mo. I bought a new Ipad and added the plan to my cellphone account sharing a pool of data. So the new ipad is on a 2 year contract. But I continue to get charged for data for an old Ipad I no longer have in my possession. When I called, three Verizon people told me that without the Ipad acct number, I am out of luck and they cannot cancel the plan and they can't look up my number using my debit card number or name. How ridiculous is that? They said I had to have my bank stop payment on the charges. I want Verizon to stop charging for data I cannot use on a device I cannot access because I no longer own it!
Called my bank and they cannot stop the charges because it is a debit card charge. They could if it was a debit through clearinghouse, but not debit card. I do not want to cancel my debit card and get a whole new one. It seems to me Verizon could cancel this recurring data charge for a device I no longer own. Isn't there a way to do this?

There is no "bill". The Ipad was on a recurring data plan...pay as you go. There was no contract, so no "billing". The Verizon representatives told me that if I could not cancel the debit using "Cellular Data" under the "General" settings on the Ipad (which is where I set it up) then, they cannot cancel it and they will charge me for the rest of my life...or until my debit card expires in two years. My bank cannot stop this re-curring charge because it is a debit withdrawal. All they can do is close the account and open a new one. It is ridiculous that Verizon is telling me that they have no way to find out which account the $20 they they take from me each month is going to. Can someone hlep?

  • HT204053 Should a family share an apple id, or does each phone need its own apple id?

Should a family share an apple id, or does each phone need its own apple id?

    Hello coachscott,
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.
For more information on this, take a look at:
Frequently asked questions about Apple ID
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5622?viewlocale=en_US
Can I share my Apple ID with someone else?
You shouldn't share your Apple ID account information with other people. Each person should have their own Apple ID.
    Best of luck,

  • JSP error page does not displayed on its own, includes in the original JSP

Problem Description: - Exceptions in a Condition cause pages to fail to render.
The actual issue is, the JSP error page does not displayed on its own, included in the original JSP Page when exception occurs.
Problem Cause: As per the JSP specification when jsp content reached the buffer size (default 8KB) the page being flushed (Part of condent displays). The default autoFlush value is true.
When the page buffer value is default size (8KB), and if any exception occurs after flushing the part of the content, instead of redirecting into error page, the error page content included in the original page.
If i specify autoFlush="false" and with default buffer size, at the runtime if the buffer size is reached, i am getting stackoverflow error.
To solve the above problem we can make it autoFlush=false and buffer=100KB. But we cant predict the actual size of the page.
I found in one of the weblogic forum as no solution for this issue. Ref.
    http://support.bea.com/application?namespace=askbea&origin=ask_bea_answer.jsp&event=link.view_answer_page_clfydoc&answerpage=solution&page=wls/S-10309.htm
Please provide me any solution to resolve the problem.

Error-Page tags work best with an error.html pages. If you have an error.jsp page what I would do, and I have, is wrap my classes and jsp pages in a try catch block where you forward to the error jsp page and display anything you want. YOu can also do this with if else statements. I have used the tomcat error pages before but when I've implemented them I used java.lang.Exception as the error to catch not Throwable. I don't know if this would make a difference or have anything to do with your problem.

  • My ipad 2 did its own update as normal except this time it will not load anything to do with game center I cant even open that app is there something I can do

my ipad 2 did its own update as usual ( 7.0 to 7.1) except this time it will not load anything to do with game center even its own app............is there anything I can do?

Try closing all of the apps on your iPad and then reset the device.
To close an app, drag the app up from the multitasking display. Double tap the home button and you will see apps lined up going left to right across the screen. Swipe to get to the app that you want to close and then swipe "up" on the app preview thumbnail to close it. Close every app this way.
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.

  • Does the iPhone 4s need a data plan inorder for "siri" to work or can you just use your local wifi?

Does the iPhone 4s need a data plan inorder for "siri" to work or can you just use your local wifi?

It can use both in all the commercials they are using wifi im trying to find out just how much Siri depends on data but so far I think it mainly uses it to pull info up and for some reason to dictate email but it does work on carrier data I guess it's just slower  so you don't neccersarily need a data plan in place or have to dig into it to use Siri If you have wifi close by

  • 2.3 year old iMac (27inch) Hard Drive failing. Does the drive have its own warranty?

My imac that is 2.3 years old is now having the S.M.A.R.T system saying the drive is "failing".  Does the drive have its own warranty? That's not very old for a failure and most HD manufactures have a 3 year minimum.  Now I wish I had bought the extended warranty period.  Shish.

    No.

  • If I restore my iPad will I lose my data plan?

I am planning to back up my iPad and restore it to lend to a friend for a week. I'm gonna buy a data plan for him, but when I restore from the backup will I lose my data plan

If you restore your iPad, everything will be deleted but your data plan won't be modified. You will keep it because it has nothing to do with the iPad

  • Does J2EE come with its own EJB Server?

Does J2EE have its own EJB Server? Can I run my EJBs in that? Does it have security authentication?

I mean when you download J2EE SDK 1.2.1. I know when I downloaded that, I could run JSP, and I think I can also do EJBs. Can I also have a security context? Does the J2SDKEE 1.2.1 come complete with an EJB Server?

  • If I turn off 3G and use the wi fi, does it still run on my data plan?

I want to Figure out what data plan to get, and was wondering that if I could switch the 3G capabilities on and off daily, if that would help me save my data.

If you use WiFi it does not count.

  • HT4528 why wont my phone use its own data

no, not if you give us absolutely no details about your problem and how you tried to troubleshoot.

  • Does iTunes match count against my data plan?

I subscribed to iTunes match last week but I haven't been able to locate any information on whether or not it counts towards my data plan when I am listening to music on a non-WiFi connection. Presumably, if I am not connected to WiFi and I want to play a few songs, it's going to have to get to my phone somehow over the network and it wouldn't take long to eat up my allotted 2 GB month if these songs do count towards the data plan.
I called Apple support and asked this same question and was told that it did not count towards the data. But, the girl seemed a little confused by my question, and even though she was very nice and helpful, I want to make absolutely sure that I have the correct information.
I did check my usage statistics, and it looks like it reset when I got the iOS 5 update two days ago, but my usage is already 689 mb received. I remember a couple months ago I checked and I hadn't even used 2 GB since last December when I got the phone, so to use almost half of what i had used in almost a year in 2 days seems like something might be askew.

Yes, the download of music files will go against your cellular data plan.  Also, I suggest that you initially activate iTunes Match on your devices while on a WiFi connection.  There's a lot of initial setup traffic that takes place and it will be cheaper and far less frustrating to do it initially on WiFi.
