Does ipad Australia work in USA/europe etc?

Will an ipad4/mini bought in australia(240V) operate in Europe(220V) or USA(110V)? I researched through apple that the ipads have an automatic voltage detector in built that converts the voltage as required. Any practical experience with this? Also, do you actually need the official "Apple World Travel adapter Kit" when travelling from the (UK, Hong Kong, Singapore, Republic of Ireland- 3 prong blades) to Aus/NZ( flat angled blades) to North America/Japan(flat parralel blades with holes) to Continental Europe(Round thin pins)? ie any suitable convertable travel  adapter(cheaper) will work?
Thank you

I have used Apple devices all over the world :)  You have correct information... The devices will operate on both 220 and 110. You do need a set of adapter plugs, but any will do. I use one I have had for years and it was not from Apple.  I will freely admit I was apprehensive the first time I plugged my iPad into 220v power! All was fine

Does anyone know if IPad Air will work with a Kensington bluetooth keyboard?

Should be fine - all the Kensington folio keyboards and such are advertised for the iPad Air.  Generally speaking, a BT keyboard is a BT keyboard and should work with any BT device.  For the iPad, keyboards specifically advertised for iOS devices usually just means that they have iOS specific keys included (home key and such).

does an iphone 6 from usa work in europe?

I've used my unlocked iPhone 4 in Aus with a Telstra SIM, and also used my AT&T iPhone 5S with international roaming.  Both work just fine.  AFAIK, the iPhone 6 is a "world phone" which works on multiple GSM bands, so it should work fine too.  And according to this page, you'll get LTE speeds too.
As to pricing, are you comparing similar phones?  I don't know if the Australian telcos have changed their policies since I used to live there, but it used to be that you bought your phone outright, at full price, and could then use it with whichever carrier you like - an unlocked phone.  Conversely, most phones sold here in the USA are tied to a two-year service contract with the carrier.  The carrier therefore subsidizes the purchase price, secure in the knowledge that the customer is tied into paying them for monthly service for the next 24 months.  Those phones are locked to that carrier at least until that contract expires, and cannot be used with other US carriers' SIMs or with local SIMs when taken overseas.
If you compare unlocked phones in both countries, you'll probably find the prices are pretty similar.

Sorry , but product is iPhone 5S

You can't buy from the Apple store online in the US because it is country specific and you firstly need a US credit card and then a US address and they won't ship outside of the US so you can't.
No Apple online store will ship outside the coutry.
If you want an iPhone, then you'll have to order via the Russian Apple store online if there is one, or you'll have to wait until it is released in your own country or go and buy one in Europe.

  • Will my ipad work in USA?

  • Does the new ipad gps works without 4g reception

does the new ipad gps works without 4g reception?

    Yes.
    More GPS information...
GPS signals are separate from and completely unrelated to both the Internet and the cellular telephone network.  GPS signals come directly from the GPS satellites.  They provide latitude and longitude information to GPS receivers.  Navigation software then takes that latitude/longitude info and converts it to land mass, roads, bridges, highways, buildings, etc.
Most navigation software stores the maps right in the iPad/iPod/iPhone but a disadvantage is that the maps must be periodically updated (perhaps once every two years).  The Internet is not required to use the system but it is required to update the maps.
Some navigation software gets the maps from the Internet and requires an Internet connection to function but an advantage is that the maps are always up-to-date.
The WiFi+3G/4G iPad and the iPhone both have a GPS receiver.  The WiFi-only iPad and the iPod do not and these devices require an accessory.

  • The built-in dictionary on my iPad only works with certain sites.  What do I need to do so that I can it all the time. (For example, it does not work when I read e-newspaper.)

What do I need to do so that I can use the built-in dictionary all the time? My iPad 2's dictionary functions on Japanese e-newspapers but not on the Arizona Republic or other e-newspapers.

Are you talking about the English dictionary?  Mine seems to work ok on the AZ republic web page.  Does yours not work on all webpages?  Does it not work when you type an English word in Notes and then do select and define?

  • TS3274 sound does not work on my ipad, it worked early today, but now it does not, not sure what happen

The sound on my ipad quit working, i was using it, and i went to do something, i come back to use it and now it does not work.  I have it on full volume.
    Can anyone help me please.
    Thanks Louise

Try this  - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.)
Check your settings. The iPads have a small switch on the right edge. It can be used as a rotation lock to keep the screen from automatically reorienting itself as you move around, but you need to have the tablet’s settings configured properly. That same switch, right above the volume buttons, can also be set to function instead as a mute button to silence certain types of audio.
If the switch is set to work as a mute button, you can change its purpose to “screen-rotation lock” by tapping the Settings icon on the home screen. On the Settings screen, tap General on the left side, and on the right side of the screen flick down to “Use Side Switch to.” Tap to select Lock Rotation or Mute to set the button’s function. Even if you set the side switch for your preferred use, you can still mute the Mini or lock the screen. Just double-click the Home button, and when the panel of apps appears along the bottom edge of the screen, flick the row from left to right with your finger. Tap the icon on the far left side of the row to either lock the iPad’s screen or mute the iPad’s alerts, notifications and sound effects. Music, podcasts and video are not muted unless you turn the volume all the way down.

My Ipad did work on my wireless at home and works on other wireless but no longer at home. My IPhone works at home and others can use the wireless> Confused that it did work and now does not?

Look at iOS Troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks and connections  http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1398
    Additional things to try.
Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
On your iPad go to Settings > General > Reset > Reset network settings and see if that enables you to connect.

It worked perfectly for me for a year until I replaced it with Apple TV.
Having said that, I can't guarantee that it will work with every app.  Give it a shot and try it immediately.  If it doesn't work with the app(s) that are important to you, return it for a refund.
By the way, I did find that the Apple TV does support every app that the cable did but no additional apps.  Although it does have other bennies, for this purpose it's an "electronic cable."
