Does iPhone have a recycle bin?

I restored my iphone 4s from iTunes back up of my old 3Gs, but the thing is I had taken some pictures and contacts on my 4s since I got it and now I cant get to all that information. It is like I replaces my new phone with my 3gs. What I had wanted to do was merge the two, so that that information I had on my old phone will just add to the new stuff I now got on my new phone. is there a way to go back and find all that stuff again?

So how do I get to this back up? I can tell i have information backed up on icloud and I know there is also a back up on itunes, but can i pick what i want to put it back on? like can i restore to a few days ago and then somehow merge the two, or is it going to have to be one or the other?

  • Does iPhone have a quick easy way to switch sounds settings like Blackberry?

One thing I love about Blackberry is that you can designate a whole bunch of different configurations for your sound/alert settings, and you can very easily switch from one to another right on the homescreen.  I find this very necessary since I like to have most sounds on much of the time, but want to easily switch to only vibration or only LED alerts or even no alert when I am in certain quiet places or at work.
Another very important use of this feature for me is that when I go to bed I can easily switch to a setting where all alerts are turned off, but the alarm will still function and wake me up in the morning.
Does iPhone have any features that can make it work in a similar way to this?  Especially turning off alerts while keeping the alarm functioning?  It seems all smartphones should have an easy and quickly accessable way of switching between sound/alert configurations.

Well that's just one of the least helpful
So, simply stating "no" would have been more "helpful"?  Maybe you're one of those who only want to see the answers that you want, rather than the truth.
The iPhone is what it is, and has its own set of features, of which you appear to have no clue.  At least i linked you the User Guide so you could  educate  yourself.  Did you really think iPhones have a secret BB emulation mode?

  • Does IPhone have an Alaram??

    Does IPhone have an Alaram??

With only this one post you don't understand? Of course you don't, you have no idea what is going on and instead of doing a little research you just fire off a post that makes you look....
As Allan said the poster was scattershooting a bunch of separate questions that all could be answered at the various links on the homepage, and in the manual, why not refer them to it? Perhaps they didn't know it was there.
Read just a few of Allan's posts and you'll see what a valuable asset he is.
And incidentally, if you and neilrabin were so upset about his post, and that it was a waste, why didn't either one of you answer the OP's question?

  • Does iphone have it own email address?

does the iphone have its own email address, my old razor was @mms.att.net

    Ansuz82 wrote:
Technically it does. However, since the iPhone can not get MMS messages sending a pic to the MMS email address would just direct you to viewmymessage.com
I figured it most likely did, but for reasons you stated it seems irrelevant.

  • Does iPhone have a secure 'Password Keeper' like the BlackBerry?

Does the iPhone have an option where I can store usernames, passwords, and other secure and private information like the BlackBerry's 'Password Keeper'?

I'd like to second that request for a password keeper on the iPhone.
There is a web service that does this, but, honestly, the idea of uploading my passwords to a web site that isn't hosted by someone that has an absolutely rock solid reputation isn't something I will do.
The basic "trust" requirements here are that it is truly stored locally on the iPhone itself. If the software were created by Apple, it would have the necessary credentials to make me feel safe.
A local PC/Mac based app that talks to iTunes (or an iTunes add-in) would complete the deal.

Have you tried using System Restore? If that doesn't work, then it's a case of restoring the images from your backups, or from the cards you took them on, and deleting the corrupted Recycle bin. Can't think of any other way.
Update to LR3.3 asap. Loads of bugs have been cured, as well as new stuff added.

  • Question: does iPhone have email notification?

I'm coming from a blackberry world, where the device beeps/vibrates to let you know when a new message has arrived.
    Can the iPhone do this?

Yes, the iPhone does this. If you are listening to music, or watching a video, and using the headphones, the audio will even momentarily dip in volume so you can hear the email notification through the headphones.
Otherwise, if you don't have headphones plugged in, there is a standard tone that sounds through the speaker when a new email comes in, in addition to vibe (if you have the notification turned on). However, you can't change the default sound for this action.

  • Does iPhone have any apps for ping'ing like Blackberries?

I have an ordinary LG cell phone which i can hardly wait for the contract to expire. Furthermore, I hate blackberry phones. I want an iPhone to be my next phone. However, is there any apps that work like blackberries ping'ing each other? I the blackberry world, this is instantaneous messaging --->as opposed to regular texting whereby a text can take up to twenty minutes for the recipient to get a text sent from, say, my lousy LG cell phone.

email is only as good and as fast as the ISP available and texting is only as good as one's cell phone carrier. BB's, I must admit, are amazingly fast like a bzillionth of a second with like zero delay, .... UNLIKE email or texting. When i text my wife from my LG cell phone to her identical LG cell phone using Telus mobility, there can be as much as twenty minutes until the text is delivered (i sht you not, ....as we tested it on several occasions the time it took for a text to go from one phone to another and we were sitting right beside each other). BB's don't have any delay.... none/zero/goose-eagg/nada.

  • Does iphone have a way to record like a class lecture?!

Hello, i was wondering if you can record a class lecture or anybody speaking on the iphone either as a feature or by downloading a web app. thank you

This app is $0.99. I have had absolutely no problems and it is a great app that works very well. It includes Wi-Fi transferring to transfer recordings between your iPhone and your computer on a local wireless network: http://itunes.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewSoftware?id=284428991&mt=8
By the way, there is absolutely no adware or advertising on this app. It also has the option to record high-quality recordings. It works while the phone is locked. Very simple and easy to use. Hope this helps =]

  • Does iPhone have a migration assistant

    Hello!
I bought a new iPhone and I want to move all my personal data from one iPhone to the other. Is there a migration assistant for the iPhone to help me do the job. and if not: what the best practices that I need to know when moving from one iPhone to a new one?
another question: after moving to the new iPhone what should I do to wipe down all the personal data without returning to the old iOS that came with phone I mean maintaining the iOS 7
    Thanks

There is no migration assistant. Back up your original phone either using iTunes or iCloud (I prefer iTunes). Set up (or restore) the new phone from the back up of the old phone.
Wiping data off of the old phone will not remove iOS 7.
    Best of luck.

  • Does iPhone have limited YouTube search, and cannot play YouTube in Safari?

When I used "Search" in the YouTube widget to look for a particular video, it couldn't be found, and so it seems that the iPhone YouTube widget is limited only to pre-specified lists of YouTube videos, not the entire database. I tested this out by going to Safari to look for the same video, which I know exists, and this time found it using the same search words. But of course I couldn't PLAY it in Safari because Safari requires Flash, and the iPhone won't allow you to download Flash. This means iPhone can play SOME videos from YouTube, which to me is a severe limitation.
The fact that iPhone's browser can't visit Flash sites is also a severe limitation.
    Can anyone confirm this?
    Thank you.
iPhone, Macbook Pro   Mac OS X (10.4.10)

Thanks very much for your reply.
That's too bad, on both counts.
If it takes til the end of 2007 to convert all of YouTube's Flash based videos then I might as well wait for the second iteration of the iPhone, which will undoubtedly include many of the omitted features now being complained about.
Even if that conversion happened next week, it seems not to resolve the problem that Flash itself is not supported. Flash is one of the most important, useful, and fun features of many websites including MySpace and other social networking sites, not to mention my own website.
Unfortunately, with that limitation, unless I hear otherwise, I will return my iPhone today. It breaks my heart!!

  • Does iPhone have a purchased button on iTunes Store?

Recently I pre-purchased a album on itunes on a Mac, and I notice that I can download that album on a iPad without sync with Mac, but in a iPhone 4 I can't. Do you think this is normal or is a problem with my iOS (iPhone4)? P.S: Off course the album now are in sale.

  • Deleted files on FiWi-disk does not show in Recycle bin

I'm using FireWire disk for storage and stuff. I just discovered that if I move files to Trash, they don't get there.
I'd like them to - how do I fix that?

what exactly happens when you trash something from that drive? do you get a popup saying that it will be deleted immediately?

  • Recycle bin has copy of every file edited with PSE6?

Its very disconcerting to check your recycle bin and find dozens of files you had no intention of deleting. I didn't realise this would happen and it meant I had to go back and check dozens of files to ensure they were still there. Why does this happen? Can I stop it?
    I'm running on Windows XP

    >As far as i know, PSE use the copy of image for undoing delete action.
That's not relevant to James' issue -- he hadn't deleted any photos, and thus didn't have any deletes to undo, but there were still photos appearing in the recycle bin.
I reviewed my notes, and what I posted above was subtly incorrect PSE does
sometimes use the recycle bin to implement undo of changes to files metadata. But you can safely empty the recycle bin at any time, and PSE will still undo corresponding changes to the catalog. For gory details, see this FAQ:
