Does iphone's warranty come with the device or the purchaser?

I am trying to a used iphone5. The seller told me its power button isn't working functionally. But it's under warranty. So if I go to the apple store, they can fix it or change with a refurb. Since I am not the original owner of the iphone, can I get the phone fixed? What should I bring if I go to apple store? Receipt? or just they check the serial number and it's all good? Also, will it be covered if the power button is not working?

oke i'm not done with the whole thing, but i'm doing that right now. Most of the advice I've already read didn't work and at a certain point it said something about shutting down programs then restart. but i notice that there are some pretty important system things in that list and i don't want to mess up my pc :s i'm not a pc genius... and because i'm dutch and my pc-language is in dutch I often have trouble translating and well... i don't always understand the technical stuff in all the articles -_-

iPhones come with plastic over the screens. However, it's packaging material, not a screen protector. I don't recall if it's still the case, but for previous models the plastic didn't have cut outs for the microphone and speakers, occasionally causing people to think there was something wrong with their phone because the couldn't hear anyone.

I think you're still not quite clear. The current iPhones have a lightning connector (the place where the cable plugs in). No computer has such a thing. The cable that comes with a current iPhone plugs into the lightning connector in the iPhone and then into the USB port on a computer. It is the same cable that has come with every iPhone since the iPhone 5.

I recently ordered a new mbp, and am planning on swapping the hdd for an intel ssd. Do the new macbook pros that come with lion pre-installed also include a lion install dvd like the old laptops do, or will I need to download lion from the app store and burn it to a disk to install it on my new ssd?

OS X Lion is not being included as an install DVD with new Macs. (It does come pre-installed.) Apple is offering a $69 USB stick with Lion pre-installed for owners would like to own a solid state means of recovery. Lion is strictly internet based with its recovery features - in other words - Macs will need to be able to connect to the internet to restore a computer with HDD failure (or some other issue where you need to restore the system.)

I am looking at buying a new Iphone ASAP, but it looks like there are alot of problems with iOS6 so is there a way to get an Iphone without it at least untill Apple fixs the problems.

Apple doesn't supply the cable because only a handful of people ever need one and of those that do the vast majority will already have one.
For the overwhelming number of users who don't need or already have a cable this represents a saving when they purchase their Apple TV which of course then doesn't include the price of a cable.
For the very few users who do need to purchase a cable, they have lost nothing because they are only paying for something they would have had to pay for when they bought the Apple TV, if a cable was included in the box.

That app comes pre installed on the device.
Try swiping through the screens.
And swipe to the left of your Home screen. Type App Store in the search field.
It can't be downloaded.

Yes, if you selected a carrier specific iPhone it will come with a nanoSIM.
If you selected to upgrade/renew your current contract, it will be assigned to your number.
If you selected new service, it will come with a new number.
