Does iPhoto support RAW for Fuji X-S1?

I just bought a Fuji X-S1 to use as a safari camera. I'm experimenting with it and was not able to get iPhoto to import RAW files. Any suggestions?

Check to see if the Adobe Raw file converter will work with your raw file format.

  • Does iPhoto Support RAW from Nikon D90?

    I shoot in RAW. I had a D80 and iPhoto would import my RAW photo files ok. I just got a Nikon D90 and iPhoto will not import my files. Any ideas?
    Lee

    Lee:
    In the meantime you might see if Adobe DNG Converter and Camera Raw 4.6 is compatible with the D90. That would let you convert the RAW files to the DNG (digital negative) format which iPhoto does support. There's other RAW converters available. Go to VersionTracker.com and search for RAW.
    TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto (iPhoto.Library for iPhoto 5 and earlier) database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
    I've created an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger or later), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. It's compatible with iPhoto 6 and 7 libraries and Tiger and Leopard. Just put the application in the Dock and click on it whenever you want to backup the dB file. iPhoto does not have to be closed to run the application, just idle. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Be sure to read the Read Me pdf file.
    Note: There's now an Automator backup application for iPhoto 5 that will work with Tiger or Leopard.

    what version of iPhoto supports raw files for canon 6d? I am running iMac 24-inch with OSX-10.6.8 and iPhoto 7.x, and can't read these files....looking for least upgrade which will enable me to read them.  Thx - //Spud

    Not sure what the oldest version is but Mavericks with iPhoto 9.5.1 does - http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5955?viewlocale=en_US&locale=en_US
    Google may help you go backwards if you do not want to upgrade to Mavericks

  • Lightroom 3 does NOT support raw files for the  Canon Sureshot S95

    Have just bought the new Canon Sureshot S95
    after contacting Adobe support I am told Lightroom 3 does NOT support raw files for the
    Canon Sureshot S95.
    Come on Adobe.....please provide an update asap.

    (1) Well Boss I did what you said and used Canon DPP to convert to TIFFs. Choices are 8-bit TIFF or 16-bit TIFF - I chose 16-bit because part (90% part) of the reason for wanting to work in RAW is to keep the bit depth of teh original. On my EOS 40D it is supposedly 14 bits, which gives great scope to play with the levels & curves without seeing poster effects. If I choose 16 bit TIFF then each S95 image becomes a 70MB file, parallel to my JPEG and RAW.  Hardly a satisfactory solution.
    (I realise, however, that I don't actually know the bit depth of the S95 RAW file - anybody? ).
    (2) SUGGESTION-  even if you are adding S95 support to the next update (which I dearly hope), be kinder to those with new cameras in general and allow LR to import JPEGs if it cannot import the RAWs (overriding if necessary the 'ignore JPEG' preference setting).  I am sure users with that preference would still prefer a JPEG than no picture at all!
    Since I discovered this compatibility problem, I switched the camera to record RAW+JPEG*. To my great irritation LR3 ignores the JPEGs even though it cannot load the RAWs.  So if I want to import from one supported camera (EOS40D) and one unsupported camera (S95) I have to keep going into preferences to switch on and off the 'ignore JPEG' function.

    *  (this seems to be a setting that needs doing in the various different modes of the camera, by the way).

  • Does aperture 3.5 support RAW for Olympus E-M1

    Does Aperture 3.5 support RAW for the new Olympus E-M! camera yet?
    Thanks

    I understand, why you are cautious with updates and do not want to jump on the bandwaggon, since you need to keep your equipment working. The upgrade to Mt. Lion is worth it. It makes Lion more usuable.
    Why is EM-1 RAW compatibility NOT installable on OS 10.7.5...!
    SInce Lion has Apple changed the raw support strategy. Raw support is now part of the operating system and no longer an update to the applications. Apple did not say why, we can only speculate - but this new strategy makes it possible to write the raw support, so that it will profit from the better support for multi kernel processors in the newer systems, so that raw developement can be computed more efficiently on the new MacPros.

  • Problem downloading Camrea RAW for Fuji f770.

    I have problem downloading Camera RAW for Fuji f770.I have downloaded the correct Raw conversion file for the F770,  & also the latest Adobe Application Manager file, but still can't get it to work.
    Can anyone advise?
    Ross

    If you are talking about the F770EXR, according to the Adobe supported camera list that camera was added in ACR version 6.7/7.1. You will not be able to open those RAF files with Camera Raw 4.6, ever. There will not be a version of Camera Raw for CS3 that will open those files. However, the DNG converter, 7.1 or later, should convert those files to DNG. If it isn't doing it that would suggest that something is wrong with the file. Can you post one of your RAF files to dropbox so that we can take a look at it. It doesn't have to be of any sensitive subject matter. You could just take a picture of anything and post it. Then we could see if we can pinpoint the problem.

  • Does iphoto support transparency in images?

    does iphoto support transparency in images?

    Import the photos and create a small test book -
    Before ordering your book preview it using this method - http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1040 - and save the resulting PDF for reference - the delivered book will match it.
    If the preview is what you want then you can go ahead and create the book, preview it and order knowing tha the printed version will match the preview

  • Does Aperture support RAW files from a Panasonic LUMIX DMC-FZ27 camera?

    Please can anyone let me know whether Aperture supports RAW files from a Panasonic LUMIX DMC-FZ27 camera? The Apple Aperture site lists support for DMC-F35 and other later cameras but does not allow a search for others.
    Many thanks.
    John

    Only the cameras on this list are supported:  Apple - Aperture - Technical Specifications - RAW Support
    Th FZ27 is not.
    For my Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ28 I am using Adobe's free DNG Coverter to convert the RAW files to DNG. It does not always work, but for most of the RW2 files I can work in Aperture this way. The stubborn files I convert to TIFF.

  • Does OATS support recording for Globalization and Localization?

    We are looking to automate an EBS application that support 30 different languages and also has localization for some countries. Can we use OATS for regression automation? Does OATS support Globalization and Localization?

    If you are testing web application, It requires to have webdom.api imported and reference scriptservice in the class.
    import oracle.oats.scripting.modules.webdom.api.*;
    public class script extends IteratingVUserScript {
         @ScriptService oracle.oats.scripting.modules.webdom.api.WebDomService web;
    Then you can reference in your script depending on the component that you are trying to drag.  Below command will give you some idea on how to do it.
    web.element("{{obj.Reservation.LTB Rate Code Select}}").dragTo("{{obj.Reservation.LTB Trip Composer Est Grand Total}}");
    Thanks,
