Does iPhoto update a gallery from the changes to the album?

When I create a web gallery I first create an album and drag photos into to. I do this in part because I also use my Apple TV to play a slideshow of albums. When I publish a web gallery of an album it uploads it just fine.
But when I add a photo to the album, it doesn't make the change in iPhoto to the gallery or online. Do I have to make the changes in both locations? That seems like extra work. Doesn't iPhoto update the galleries from the albums that created them?

Welcome to the Apple Discussions. Only photos added to the actual web gallery in iPhoto will be added to the online gallery when updated. The album you use to create the gallery is not connected in any way except as a convenient way to group the photos initially and start the gallery. You don't need an album to create a gallery.
TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
I've created an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. It's compatible with iPhoto 08 libraries and Leopard. iPhoto does not have to be closed to run the application, just idle. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Be sure to read the Read Me pdf file.

Many ways to do this. The easiest is to have a method in one of your classes that reads the data from the database and creates all the proper structure under a RootNode and then returns that RootNode.
Whenever you want to refresh the tree, just call that method to recreate the root node (and all the underlying structure/nodes) and then re-set the root node of your tree model using the setRoot() method. That will cause it to refresh the display given the new root node.
Once you have that working, you can get fancier and make it more efficient (only updating/firing events for the nodes that actually changed, etc).

ITunes Last Played does not update when syncing from iPod

When I synch any of my Ipods, the last played field does not update in Itunes.
If I play the song from Itunes. (11.1.5) Last Played works fine.
I tried the crossfade solution, but that did not work. My crossfade was already not selected.
Any other thoughts?

As if by magic it is now working. I went away from the mac for a couple of hours, came back and it started to work. This is scary as I would expect this kind of action on a Mickysoft machine but not a Mac. Ho Hum - at least the problem has been sorted even if I don't know how.

Office 365 AAD Password Writeback not working; Event Viewer Error: 0x80230619 (A restriction prevents the password from being changed to the current one specified.)

I'm currently setting up a Proof Of Concept setup with directory synchronisation and password syncing to Office 365, leveraging AAD Premium for the password reset and password writeback to on premises
AD functionality. Directory Sync + Password Sync is working flawlessly with the AADSync tool. However, upon requesting a password reset for a user, I'm hitting a password writeback error. The webpage states that the password does not meet the password
complexity policy, while it does. I can set that particular password for that account at the on premises AD without any problem.
In the event viewer at the AADSync server, I'm seeing this Error pop up whenever I try to reset the password:
An unexpected error has occurred during a password set operation. "BAIL: MMS(4032): ..\server.cpp(11003): 0x80230619 (A restriction prevents the password from being changed
to the current one specified.) Azure AD Sync 1.0.0475.1202"
My Setup:
Windows Server 2012 AD with a single forest
Seperate domain joined Windows Server 2012 for AADSync tool
AADSync version 1.0.0475.1202 with options password sync, password writeback enabled
Service account for AADSync tool with Replicating Directory Changes and Replicating Directory Changes All permissions
on root AD forest structure with inheritance to all objects. This account also has the permissions to Change Password and Reset Password on all descendant
User Objects.
AAD Premium for my office 365 tenant
AAD Premium licenses for the test users and the office 365 account used to sync to Office 365. This account is also Global Admin.
Could anyone help me with this? Is there something I’m missing here? My guess is that the AAD is not trusted or the service account for AADSync tool does not have the proper permissions. I’ve tried
many options, like setting the AADSync Service account to Enterprise Admin or granting the service account Full Control over that particular user.

Concerning my issue:
The Default Group Policy setting: Minimum Password Age is set at 1 day. As I was testing this feature with new users, their provisioned passwords were less than 24 hours old and the Minimum Password Age of 1 prevented the change of the password.
After changing this to 0 days in the Default Group Policy, my password resets started working for newly created users. While this might not have affected existing users in production, it had me looking and searching for permission issues on my AD.
So for those that might be experiencing ADSync Event ID 6329 and PasswordResetService Event ID 33008 Errors when trying to do a Password Reset using AAD Premium with Password Writeback, it might be helpful to check the applied password policy.
The issue is solved.

Does Universal Connector read only the changes or the whole of the database everytime

Does the Universal Connector read only the changes in the external database into the Connector View every scheduled cycle or does it read the whole of the database into the connector view every time ?
I need to write a indirect connector for Lotus Notes database using the universal connector and univeral text parse.So I want to know if the Import and Dump scripts that I will have to write will have to read just the changes that took place or the whole of the Notes DB everytime ?

Apply the change to the table

I want to set up a stream to capture, propagate and apply the changes on the table TB in DB1 to the table TB in DB2. Both tables are the same name and structure.
If the value on column1 of DB1.TB is y, issuing the UPDATE statement
update DB1.TB set column1 = x
will replace y with x.
However, at destination DB2.TB, column1 has the value
z = sum(column1) of DB1.TB,
the chnage at source table (x-y) will need to be added onto the column at DB2.TB, making it z+(x-y).
Any idea on how to use the rule or handler to realize this transformation?
My understanding is that we shouldn't query the DB2.TB in the rule / handler function. Correct me if I am wrong.

I haven't seen a requirement/best practice that you shouldn't query the target table in the dml-handler. And in the contrary of table-triggers there's no 'mutating table problem' in here, because of the source of the event. I can't see any functional problems in querying the target table. You should even be able to query the source database over a database link. If any streams-guru has an other meaning I'm interested in hearing it. The only thing you should bother about is the performance in this. Since the dml-handler is a peace of code executed by the apply process it slows down the applying of the event. If you implement 'heavy' functionality by doing all kinds of queries then it's like driving with your foot on the brake. If your source table is suffering from lot's of mutations then your capture process might not be able to post its events to the apply process, causing spilling of events.
In that case it's better to let your apply process enqueue its events on a seperate queue (there is an method for in I thought the dbms_apply_adm package or the dbms_streams_adm to add a seperate queue to the apply process). Then the LCR changes into a Custom-enqueued-event that can be dequeued from a custom-process. Then you can create a seperate dequeue-process that you can schedule with in dbms_job/dbms_schedule that does the applying of the changes.

Third party tools can only help you but not SAP. . A lot of us may think that for example if a Job 'X' runs daily then SAP considers this job as a single object.However actually SAP will treat each run of a job seperately infact as seperate jobs. If you would have noticed each job in SAP has a job id which is unique. So actually each run is unique. Now change logs can exist for only those objects that get changed. But change logs can not exist for objects that are newly created everytime !!
If you would have noticed you can two jobs with the name A but running two different reports/variants whatver. This is because job name is not that important it is the job id.
Every time a job runs a new entry gets stored in TBTCO,TBTCP etc.. tables. It is not that the existing entires are updated.However yes when a job is scheduled periodically there is some kind of a link that is created in the job series but it does not showo up in any of the tables!!
As far as 3rd party tool is concerned I can name a tool like UC4. UC4 has its own database in which the job name will always be unique. For that you can easily find change logs. I think Chronicle (Redwood Scheduler) also supports this.

I have a doubt. Within our Solman, in a project template, we have created a template documents about standards. Now we have made changes to these templates. My doubt about this is whether there are any way to refresh the documents and facts from these templates. Can we force this 'update'?

Let´s assume you are talking about MSWord documents.
When you create a new MSWord document it takes into consideration the Normal.dot file that is located on your PC to bring you with all formatting you previously set in this MS template file ( paragraph styles, fonts, colors, headers, footers, images, etc ).
When you sabe this new document, it starts "its own life". that is, if you move the file from your PC to another PC, it will not have the modifications you make on your local Normal.dot into consideration.
On the other hand, if you maintain the file on your PC and change the Normal.dot, depending on the change, than you will be able to see the change in the created document based on this template.
When you create a new document ( no matter if from template on solman or from scratch on your PC ) and upload it into solman, then you are working like in the case you move your file to other PC ( the connection to the template is broken ).
Other thing to take into consideration is that the Normal.dot is seen by MSword as a real template, while the document created from a template on solman is just a copy of an existing document, saved as a new file in another location.

Is there a way to remove the changes to the URL Bar, specifically the status information and the target URL?

To begin, I utterly despise the changes to the URL Bar and the removal of the Status bar. In order to stay with the latest version of Firefox I am attempting to recreate the look and feel as best I can.
I have already installed the Status-4-Evar extension. The only thing that remains is to remove the status information and the target URL from the bar.
Are there any settings in about:config that will allow me to make these changes?
EDIT: Status information can be removed by toggling. status4evar.statusInUrlBar. Still looking for a way to remove the target URL...
