No. Contact the bank by phone and report the problem.

I'm unable to access a website because it says my "mobile me security certificate has expired." When checking the account, it says it expires on June 30, 2012. I realize that's the date to switch to iCloud, but how can I reinstate or update the certificate now? I should have 5 days left to use it.  Any help would be appreciated - thanks!

I don't have any freecause add-on, nor do I have a gamers unite toolbar, or a tracker for airline miles. I am completely unable to use Firefox (I'm on another computer right now).
It looks like I will just need to completely uninstall Firefox. I don't get this error message in IE 8 or in Google Chrome, so it's a Firefox problem apparently.
I can't even access Tools because the pop up window won't go away.
    Bummer!

  • Does It Matter What Apple Website I Request My Up-To-Date Mountain Lion From

I bought my MBA in Singapore but my Apple account is from my home country, United Kingdom. Does it matter which Apple website I make my claim for Mountain Lion from? Should it be Singapore the country where I bought my MBA or should it be UK? Both pages look the same to me.

This problem occurs if the client computer's clock is set so that the date/time is later than the expiry date of the web server's SSL certificate.
Why would the certificate of a brand new router be expired?
Hello, you can check the link posted by sabretooth.

There is a problem with this website's security certificate.
    Error this morning on xxx.emea.acrobat.com

You attempted to reach admin.emea.acrobat.com, but the server presented an expired certificate. No information is available to indicate whether that certificate has been compromised since its expiry. This means that Google Chrome cannot guarantee that you are communicating with admin.emea.acrobat.com and not an attacker. You should not proceed.

  • WRT54G.v5 problem - website's security certificate

I am getting this message when trying to install my router/change settings.
"The security certificate presented by this website was not issued by a trusted certificate authority".
The security certificate presented by this website was issued for different website address"
Security certificate problems may indicate an attempt to fool you or intercept any data you send to the server.
Can anyone tell me why I am getting this error?

This message indicate you are using https protocol instead of http (that's in the very beginning of the web address). If you are wired directly to the router, there is no need to use https. It's best to be directly wired when making any configuration changes. You can get past that message if you need to use https (if connected remotely or wirelessly) by clicking on buttons to get the certificate and allow it's use. This depends on what browser you are using so there is no single answer on how to do that, but be brave and click on buttons that look like they will allow you to view or accept the certificate. But in general, you need to ignore the warnings from the browser about dire consequences for using that web site. As long as you sure you are connecting to your router, you should be safe. (Don't do this for any web site you don't have complete control over -- heed your browser's warnings in that case, unless you are completely sure it's ok.) If you are using Firefox, I've found that it will only let you connect to exactly one Linksys router (ever) using https protocol. For all subsequent routers, it will tell you that the certificate's serial number (which Linksys lazily sets to "00" ) is a duplicate and blocks your access. Not a problem if you only have one Linksys device, but if you ever need to replace it or add on other Linksys devices, you will have to use a different browser or the http protocol.

It appears their security certificate is set to expire 02/25/2012. You can check this on one of their secure pages by clicking the Site Identity Button.

Is the calendar/clock on your system set correctly? Right-click the calendar/clock at the right end of the Windows Taskbar and choose Adjust Date/Time, if necessary. You can also access the Adjust Date/Time in Windows XP via Start > Settings > Control Panel > Date and Time. See https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Secure%20Connection%20Failed#w_certificate-will-not-be-valid-until-date
If your system is not keeping correct Date and Time, you may need a new "coin" battery on your motherboard.

  • Can someone please help me.. Everytime I try to view a website a Security Certificate warning comes up. The MACBook i use is 4 years old but it should work shouldnt it

I have major drama trying to use the Internet, accessing my yahoo emails is a nightmare. But EVERY website asks pops up with security certificates. Even coming on to this apple website was a task. My Macbook is 4 yrs old but I think this means that there is something wrong with it.
I would pay for any updates if that is what is required. But I cant even see how to do that

Hmmm. Have you installed any software on your MacBook lately?
    Which browser are you using?
What, exactly does the pop up message say?

  • IE10 There is a problem with this website's security certificate.

I have seen lots of posts but no answers.
I have Windows 8 Pro RTM installed from MSDN. I am running IE10 and I go to my Linksys router and get the usual certificate error. In all previous versions of IE, you could just click continue and move forward. IE10 does not all this, please let me know
where this setting is so I can use IE10, I hope I am not forced to use Chrome. Also there is no option to run as IE9 for some reason.

Not sure why Windows 8 is such a pain...
Those of you just blindly applying this command should really try to get your heads around why Carl_W's workaround is
    NOT a fix
at all, and why Microsoft is not making the software (in this case at least) a "pain" for unfounded reasons.
Follow the link that Carl posted and read about why it is that the software now requires a much longer minimum key length.
    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2661254
The general idea is that at one time, not so long ago, computers weren't nearly as powerful as they are today, and it was practically impossible to crack security with a key length of 512 bits.  Computers (and notably GPUs) got hugely faster and
lo and behold now just about anyone can afford a system that can derive the private key for a 512 bit public key in just a short amount of time.
That which was once considered strong security protection is now rendered weak.
Would you rather Microsoft make it convenient for someone to, say, spoof your bank's web site and create a web page that would grab up your account information when you log in?
    I didn't think so.
To really fix the problem, if your little router or old internal server has an invalid security certificate with a short key, you
should figure out what it is going to take to make it valid, rather than opening your
entire browsing experience up to a security risk.   Actually, you
should have done it before, when all you had to do was click the "Continue to the web site... (not recommended)" link.
The certutil command above is not unlike your spouse saying "honey, I locked myself out of the car" and you deciding the
fix is to just not lock the doors.

  • Cannot login to secure banking website - Chase - Security Certificates?

I cannot find another post by anyone who is having this problem.
At the login web page for Chase, here: https://chaseonline.chase.com
I do not have autocaps or caps lock on. I have been very meticulous when entering my password, many times, with no luck.
This site works fine for Safari on my PowerBook. It must be something to do with security certificates. However, many other secure sites have no problems.
Has anyone else been successful with logging into their bank account? (at Chase)

I just logged on to mine for the first time today. It told me I needed a code to enter as it detected I was logging in from a different computer. I asked it to send the code via SMS to my iPhone. It sent the code in about 30 secs. I entered the code and voila, I was on. But I used Safari and just plugged in www.chase.com

  • I am being blocked from all websites, almost everyone that I have always used before due to security certificates "being expired" when they really are not!

  • Norton Toolbar 5.5 shows as enabled but does not appear as toolbar. Norton Security 2011 has been re-installed w/o correcting problem. Toolbar shows on IE.

Norton Toolbar works on my netbook (Windows XP) but suddenly stopped appearing on Firefox on my desktop (Windows 7). Both are running Firefox V3.6.13. On the View/Toolbars the Norton toolbar does not appear as an option.
I rely on the Norton toolbar and will have to switch to IE (ughhhh!!!) if I cannot restore the toolbar to Firefox.

Tools > Addons > Extensions - does that Norton extension appear in that listing?
''' '' "... They also point to the fact that I can access the toolbar through IE 8 as proof that their product is not at fault. " '' ''' <br />
That answer from Norton wasn't accurate. IE uses a different version of the Norton toolbar than Firefox needs.

  • Why does Firefox give me warnings on certain websited that the connection is untrusted, because the certificate has expired?

This happens on mozilla.com too, so it's a tad strange. Other major sites ask me to confirm an exception. Sites like softpedia, microsoft etc.

If that happens again, and you are using a desktop PC, the little "coin" battery on the motherboard is probably on its' last legs and needs to be replaced.
