Does it matter that my AIR app was created in OSX 10.5.8 and revised in OSX 10.6.8?

I don't know if this is the correct forum for this post, but here it goes.
I created my AIR app on my desktop running OSX 10.5.8. I'm able to publish and install the app just fine. I'm also installing the same AIR app on my laptop running OSX 10.6.8. The install works great.
It's when I make changes to the .fla file, I transferd to my laptop, and go thru the AIR 2.6 setting to publish the app and install it; I get the "Sorrry, an error has occurred. ...this installer has been mis-configured...
Should the differnt OS's make a differance?
Both macs run CS5.5

That should work, could you post the contents of your installer log so we can see what the actual error is?

Sorry, I should have mentioned, I have no disc drive, so I have got to use my old PC and the drive on that!
What I get to move over to my MacBook Air are .cda tracks, are they convertable for ripping?
My Mac seems to go silent/invisable?
I am sure that Iam missing a fair bit of knowledge for this move, any help would be appreciated.

I went to the genius bar the other day and was told that force quitting apps was the single worst thing I can do to my phone or iPad, short of dropping and damaging it, or jailbreaking it.That it is bad for the software, firmware and battery. The employee was very excited about the topic and cringed when I force quit in front of him. He gave me the url to read about multi-tasking so that i could read more. But neither that page nor the force quitting apps page says anything about this activity being bad. Is it so bad? If so, why don't we know that? So many people I know force quit in an effort to have fewer pages appear.

Thank you for the feedback. I can breathe a sigh of relief that I can once again clear these pages from my sight. This employee said he tells about a half dozen people a day when they come in with various problems, as he is attributing their problems to force quitting. It's like he was out to save the world, one iphone user at a time. I'm talking *serious* passion from this man!

Did you install it yourself are somebody else for you?
If you installed them yourself, but do not remember which AppleID you used, try all AppleIDs you might have used in turn.
If somene else set up your Mac for you, ask the person to reinstall it. If you bought the mac second hand, the previous owner needs to contact Apple to transfer the iLife apps. If that is not possible, delete the apps that you cannot update and buy them using your AppleID.

I downloaded a free App called ThaiPad from Bangkok Post newspaper. I downloaded on my PC running Windows 7. The Bangkok Post recommended itunes for downloading. I completed download but it would not open. I am assuming that perhaps this App. was for iPod

Any app that you download using iTunes is for use only on iPad, iPhone, or iPod Touch, and not on a PC. It's possible they have a separate app for PC, as some companies do, but the one you downloaded via iTunes definitely will not open in Windows 7.

Cannot find database AIR says was created successfully

Does the "DBSample.db" only exist while the application is
running?
I can't find the database anywhere on my system even though I
get the trace message "the database was created successfully"?

Change the creation success message to:
air.trace("the database was created successfully at: " +
air.File.applicationStorageDirectory.nativePath);
to see where the file is. I'm guessing that you just don't
realize how deeply buried the application storage directory
is.

I'm not positive since they give scant details on that link - but it looks like it is just a html bookmark with icon. There was (is ?) a BBC podcasts "app" some years ago that was simply that - you downloaded it and got an icon that was nothing more than a bookmark to the BBC's podcast web site. This sounds like something similar, and if so calling it an "app" is a pretty big stretch. You can just fire up safari on your iPhone, go to the web site and it seems you will see everything they have to offer - book mark it yourself by choosing "add bookmark to home screen" and I think you would have everything they will send you but without giving them your phone number.

Does it matter that I have a sticker on the back of my iPod?

My ipod touch's home button is barely working. The touch is within warranty, but I put a sticker on the back... does that void my warranty? Also, since its in warranty, do you think they'll swap it out/fix it? Thanks!

It shuld not matter. The warranty states:

Does it matter that Acrobat 9.4.2 update loses XMP logo?

I am hoping for confirmation that a change in Acrobat 9's presentation of XMP metadata is a benign UI problem rather than something more serious. As described over on the Acrobat forums, the 9.4.2 update for Acrobat (Mac and Windows) broke printing for many people; Adobe has posted a notes admitting the problem on both the Windows and Mac forums. I can still print, but when I check Additional Metadata (on the Description tab of Properties) the "Powered by XMP" logo has been replaced with a red circle beneath a white X, suggesting some kind of error. The XMP logo does appear when I check the metadata via Document\Examine Document, working down the tree Metadata, Document, Show Preview. Either way, the metadata still shows, even the custom metadata I added to some files via a customization of the SDK's Generic panel in IDCS4. (I run Acrobat Pro 9.4.2 under up-to-date 64-bit Vista Home Premium.)
I described the situation (with screenshots) over in the Windows forum but it fell off the the first page without eliciting a response, I suspect in part because XMP is not often discussed there. I impose on the participants here in the XMP SDK forum in hopes of confirming the problem is more general than the 9.4.2 installations I've tested (4 for 4). Plus with a series of metadata-filled PDFs due later this week it would be nice to hear from an expert that the apparent error is indeed benign.

Could someone from Adobe respond to this specific issue so that we know we are being heard? Will the fix for the print issue also resolve the 'attach to email' problem? Is there any work around other than telling users to attach directly from their email programs?

Ok... this is probably a completely ignorant computer question, but I have a macbook and have been trying now for hours to figure out how to view work training via citrix that connects me to windows explorer somehow (b/c I'm somehow connecting to my work network). So after logging into citrix & my net learning via explorer, I get a msg that states I need the latest version of Adobe flash to view the task. So I went and downloaded the newest 11.whatever version for Mac OS 10.6 or higher and reloged in and still no luck. So I tried restarting computer.... tried logging into citrix via safarie, firefox, and chrome. NO LUCK. Then it somehow dawned on me that perhaps since I'm logging into citrix/explorer, maybe I need Adobe Flash for Windows??? So I tried to do that and my computer wasn't having that and stated it encountered errors.
So am I just chasing a lost cause???

So you do a remote login to a Windows server?
Not quite sure what you are doing with Windows Explorer; do you mean Windows Internet Explorer?
If so, you need to install Flash Player for Internet Explorer on that Windows server. What version is currently installed there? See http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/

I have Acrobat XI (full version) and am trying to convert a PDF to Word. I get a message that says "no file was created". What am I doing wrong?

I've tried looking at all my settings, adding tags, etc. No luck. Any ideas?

I want to develop an app that have some features like
user can create animation content in some public or proprietary format
user can share the content to others within the app
HTML5 is a choice but not the best for performance reason

I think the real reason they choose INDesign is because it a first a layout tool. Which is what magazine's use for the content. They know the this is where the distribution sector is. You get the Magazine corporations to adopt it, then you add the Multimedia capabilities that provides these same corporations the ability to use their existing layouts as a base then build the interactivity from there.
My issue is that I can't be the only one who saw this need arising. A tool that incorporates layout, multimedia and publishing to various platforms which has power and ease of use is so badly needed. I am amazed that Apple did not partner with someone, especially Adobe to create a tool of this nature.
Creating great applications, apps, and multimedia documents in my opionion should not be developed only by those with great technical skill. Anyone who can conceive of an idea, has good knowledge of Adobe and Apple Professional tools should be able to easily create apps and multimedia documents. Yet no one has developed a good WYSIWG tool. You still need so much coding to get anything done.
All I can say is... the labs division said that September was the release date for the tools they used for the Wired App. So where are they?

I was experiencing an issue with an app, I deleted, re-installed, and now the app is downloading brand new. All of my progress is lost. In itunes it says the app was created and modified the day i tried uninstalling. Im at a loss, any suggestions?

I have tried all of the support tips, and am now trying to contact the developers of the app. I am a little frustrated because I have been playing about a year. So when I open the app after I deleted it I start out brand new. So I started a new ID and I looked up my old app ID and I can see the progress of my previous game before the delete but there is no possible way for me to play the app under that ID now. From all the forums I have read this is impossible because you are not supposed to be able to reset the app from one device. TaDa! Leave it to me to be the only one. I am in limbo waiting on the app developers to get back with me. Who knows how long that will be... Not sure if I am making any sense because I have never had this happen before.

I was just at the Genius Bar in Chicago and they said, don't worry about it. It just floats out there, however, I can not recover my messages on a flash drive. I need to go back to my old computer which I don't have with me. My messages were in folders for a lawsuit. It is going to take an incredible amount of work for me to, you have no Idea. We are talking thousands of pages! I the defendent will have them during discovery so I am not so worried. However, I can not bring them to him on a Flashdrive when I meet with him without an extraordinary amount of presssure on my part. THis is not just some little email issue. This is suing EXPEDIA and Tripadviosr.com
