I haven’t been able to find any.
Since the .m4v file type appears to prevent any video bought or rented from the iTunes Store from being played using any other program the lack of these picture controls - if indeed they are lacking - make it seriously deficient as a video player.

I know that it’s possible to adjust the monitor’s performance via System Preferences but it is rather long-winded and I’d rather not alter the settings for the entire screen (and then have to change them all back once finished) when it’s only the video playback window that needs adjustment.
Since iTunes provides various options using the Equalizer for adjusting sound playback it seems rather odd that they don’t have a similar panel for video.
Regarding QuickTime.
Apparently earlier versions (such as 7) had picture controls but the current version (10.4) does not.
I assume Apple are phasing out QT whose development seems to have stopped - or rather gone backwards since it now lacks capabilities it once had - and intend in future to treat iTunes as their universal media player which no doubt makes sense from their point of view.
I wasn’t aware of the .m4v file type when I made my first and probably last video purchase via iTunes yesterday and didn’t realise that it would restrict my options for playback so completely.
The experience has really put me off buying any additional video from the iTunes Store.

Why does my 'Artists' list in iTunes (iPad and iPhone) end at 'T'?

I've completed the transition to iTunes in the cloud (iTunes Match) and my 17,000+ songs are playing just fine from all of my devices.
However, on both my iPad and iPhone when I click the 'Artists' tab I only see artists through about the mid Ts. I can't see artists like U2, The Who or Zwan. The songs from those bands show up when I click the 'Songs' tab and search, but I can't see the bands in the Artists tab.
Is there a limit to the number of artists that the iPhone and iPad can display? I think I have around 2,000 in my iTunes collection.
I also noticed this morning that when I scroll through my artists list on my iPhone, the gray bar at the top of the list indicates that I'm in 'Z' or 'W' or '123', but only artists through Tom Petty are showing up.
Any thoughts?

Yes, it did seem to fix my problem. It was probably a combination of waiting long enough for my mobile devices to clear the iTunes Match data and also long enough for iTunes Match itself to catch up with all of the meta data changes that I had made in my main media library.
I think I ended up leaving iTunes Match turned off on my mobile devices for 24+ hours and after doing a re-start everything was fine.

I cannot load videos purchased from iTunes onto my iPhone 4. Says video format is not supported.

I have most recent version OSX, iTunes and my iPhone 4 is up-to-date on software as well.
I just purchased, for my son, The Adventures of Chuck and Friends from the iTunes store. Downloaded the first season and it plays fine on computer. However I get a message that it was not copied onto the iPhone 4 because the video format is not supported by the iPhone. I have updated the software on the iPhone 4 and still get this message. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

Why does iTunes on my iPhone keep rewinding songs after pausing?

If I pause iTunes on my iPhone by either removing my headphone jack or pressing pause, if I then restart after about an hour later, the music jumps backwards several songs that have just been played. The longer I leave it, the more songs it rewinds. I find this very frustrating !!

Make sure you're selecting the iPod in the left-hand column, and then clicking the Settings column. It should be the second line under "Options" .. I believe it reads "Only Update Checked Songs."

Getting email and calender to sync to iMac like it does with iPad and iPhone

Ok here is the problem we currently have a bigpond email account (Australia) and also use calendar associated with that email address and this has been working fine for well over 14 months. Earlier this year we got a iphone 5 and also set up the email and calendar on that device so that the 2 devices synched and they do no problems. The 2 devices are logged into iCloud.
Note both devices required the setting up of email using the Hotmail option to take advantage of the new infrastructure Bigpond have with Microsoft Live.
About a month ago we replaced our old PC with a new iMac. When setting up the iMac we have set up the bigpond email and also logged that iMac into icloud using the same ID as the other two devices. When setting up the email it was noticably different in that the hotmail option to set up the account didnt exist but anyway I got the email account set up regardless and emails are working. Calender entries on the other hand are not. I dont seem to be able to get the calendar entries that synch across iPad and iPhone to sync with the iMac.
We cannot also get folders within email to sych across the devices either. I believe that this has something to do with POP vs IMAP ????.
I really would like to get email and calendar to sync across all 3 devices using the bigpond email address.
I spoke with Apple without much luck as they seemed to believe that bigpond email is using POP and thus cant synch folders across devices and couldnt help me with the calendar not synching across the devices.
Can anyone help me ? Point me in the direction of useful links ?

I have previously saved my .mov file as Apple TV, but the quality is reduced from 1920x1080 to 960x540. No. Only the iPhone 4S, iPad3, and TV3 currently support 1080p30 content. Even then the 1080p30 playback support for your monitor may depend on how the device is connected. The iPhone 4 is limited to 720p30 playback.

Not on your current device. As previously stated, the latest generation of iPhone, iPad, and TV devices support a maximum 1080p30 playback capability but may be limited to lower resdolutions depending on your method of connection to your monitor. This information can be found on the Apple web site TechSpecs page for each respective device.

Ipad 4 can't play 1080p videos

I am using an iPad4 running iOS8.3. I recently discovered that iPad4 cannot play (and not even display) my 1080p video taken using iPhone 6 in the photos app. However, when i used a software to downconvert the above video to 720p, iPad can play it. Next I did another experiment, I then tried to convert the 1080p video from .mov format to .mp4 (DivX) format - same resolution. Similarly it could not be played.
This lead to the strange conclusion my iPad4 cannot play 1080videos in the photos app?
Any help/advice is greatly appreciated.

When I get music via itunes, icloud pushes them to my ios devices, but music videos do not.

Were the music videos purchased with a different Apple ID than the one you are using for iTunes Match? If so, I don't believe they are eligible (same is true if the music video was not purchased from the iTunes Store).

Which way does iTunes sync with iPhone

I have a playlist in iTunes that syncs with the same list on my iPhone. The playlist contains MP3s that are mostly talk radio. When playing an MP3 in iTunes, pausing it, then syncing with the iPhone, I can pickup at the pause spot on the iPhone. However, if I'm playing an MP3 on the iPhone from that same list, pause it, sync, iTunes seems to ignore this and starts from the beginning. Does the "Remember Playback" feature only work from iTunes -> iPhone for syncing?

Why does my iPad synch iPhone Apps through Cloud Backup Sync?

So I'm having an issue with my iPad 3 syncing iphone apps. It usually happens everytime I put the iPad on the charger and I'm wondering why this started happening, as I don't remember checking or unchecking anything to sync apps (iphone apps?) onto my iPad. I don't want or need my iPad to sync older apps, especially iphone apps in general.
Can anyone tell me where I can manage this or get my iPad to stop downloading the apps onto my iPad?
