Does iWeb still exist and what does it run through? Is it still part of iLife?

Apple has discontinued iWeb and iDVD and no longer sells the last version of iLife ('11).
You may still be able to find a copy of iLife '11 at other resellers. It, and iLife '09, still have iWeb and iDVD.

Some e-mail servers (like Google if you're using IMAP, which is the default iPhone setup for Google) don't allow you to delete messages via the iPhone Mail app. It basically moves the message from the inbox to Archive (or at least to the All Mail Folder).
For POP3 e-mail, the iPhone does allow you to delete the messages.

Publishing photo's to iweb - without mobileme can it still be done? Does iweb still exist? Help

I have bought the latest version of iPhoto but still can't seem to publish my photo page. I'm sure this is an old question that's been answered time and time again but I can't seem to find anything on this that gives a clear answer.

iWeb exists but is not suported or developed anymore.
You can still build a Photos or Albums page in iWeb and publish it...

Where does iWeb save to and what's with red/blue site icons

anyone know where iWeb saves to if i want to backup the work i've done? also why the different colored globe icons when creating multiple sites? red and blue? anyone know the meaning?

when the icons change to red, this means that you have 'made changes' to those pages, and upon resaving/republishing..just the 'red' ones get uploaded to .mac
If publishing to a local folder, all files get re 'published' so it doesn't have any meaning, only if using .mac

Now that I have uploaded Firefox 4 I seem to have lost the option to save and quit. Does it still exist and if so, where can I find it?

Well, there's not much more to say really. The main reason I use Firefox is so that I can leave all my tabs open and come back to them next time I log onto the internet and since I upgraded to Firefox 4 I have not been able to do this. When I close down it just asks me if I am sure I want to close all the tabs - this used to happen if I had inadvertently opened Firefox twice but now it happens even when I haven't. If there isn't a solution I will just go back to using the previous Firefox programme.

Firefox now always stores the old session, and you can access it by going to the History menu and selecting "Restore Previous Session"
If you want Firefox to display the message to save the session, it can be turned back on by changing some preferences.

Basically, it's an incremental, hourly backup application (you provide the HD). After the first backup, it only backs up new/revised data (plus some overhead), so it takes up much less space than all separate backups. Some reading for you:

I know mac doesn't host sites anymore but does Apple still support iWeb for building sites? Can you use iWeb to build and upload web pages?

As you now know iWeb and iDVD have been discontinued by Apple. This is evidenced by the fact that new Macs are shipping with iLife 11 installed but without iWeb and iDVD.   On June 30, 2012 MobileMe will be shutdown. HOWEVER, iWeb will still continue to work but without the following:
Features No Longer Available Once MobileMe is Discontinued:
◼ Password protection
◼ Blog and photo comments
◼ Blog search
◼ Hit counter
◼ MobileMe Gallery
Currently if the site is published directly from iWeb to the 3rd party server the RSS feed and slideshow subscription features will work. However, if the site is first published to a folder on the hard drive and then uploaded to the sever with a 3rd party FTP client those two features will be broken.   All of these features can be replaced with 3rd party options.   There's another problem and that's with iWeb's popup slideshows. Once the MMe servers are no longer online the popup slideshow buttons will not display their images.
   However, Roddy McKay and I have figured out a way to modify existing sites with those slideshows and iWeb itself so that those images will display as expected once MobileMe servers are gone. My daughter has had her Razr for about 9 months now. About two weeks ago she picked up her phone in the morning on her way to school when she noticed two cracks, both starting at the camera lens. One goes completely to the bottom and the other goes sharply to the side. She has never dropped it and me and my husband went over it with a fine tooth comb. We looked under a magnifying glass and could no find any reason for the glass to crack. Not one ding, scratch or bang. Our daughter really takes good care of her stuff, but we still wanted to make sure before we sent it in for repairs. Well we did and we got a reply from Motorola with a picture of the cracks saying this was customer abuse and that it is not covered under warranty. Even though they did not find any physical damage to back it up. Well I e-mailed them back and told them I did a little research and found pages of people having the same problems. Well I did not hear from them until I received a notice from Fed Ex that they were sending the phone back. NOT FIXED!!! I went to look up why and guess what there is no case open any more for the phone. It has been wiped clean. I put in the RMA # it comes back not found, I put in the ID #, the SN# and all comes back not found. Yet a day earlier all the info was there. I know there is a lot more people like me and all of you, but they just don't want to be bothered so they pay to have it fix, just to have it do it again. Unless they have found the problem and only fixing it on a customer pay only set up. I am furious and will not be recommending this phone to anyone. And to think I was considering this phone for my next up grade! NOT!!!!

No. They never did.
If you are referring to the location info that was saved on your phone that hit the news a year or more ago, then Apple never had access to or stored that information or 'tracked' you. It only existed on the phone as a log file, and the bug that caused it to be stored was fixed a long time ago.

On the email account's settings (Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars and tapping on the account on the right), go into it's outgoing SMTP settings and try putting in your email name and password (they might currently show as 'optional')

It did come from Apple as I had to deal with this. But in speaking with another "Genius" I was trying to describe the symbol to him and never got an answer.
