Does iWork come with a form of powerpoint presentation compatible with Microsoft Office Powerpoint?

I recently bought a MacBook Pro and need to purchase iWork or Microsoft Office. Does iWork come with a form of powerpoint presentation? If so, is it easy to use and compatible with Microsoft Office presentation software? The latter question is extremely important as we use Microsoft Office primarily at the college.

Yes, Keynote is iWork's PowerPoint equivalent. You can save as a PowerPoint file as well. Very easy to use IMO.

  • Export or copy the chart to  Microsoft Office PowerPoint or Word

    I have a page with a dinamic flash chart (in Apex), i need the users could export or copy the chart to Microsoft Office PowerPoint or Word (for example). Is it possible?

    I did some research on Oracle BI Publisher.
    I found that Advanced configuration(Which include CHARTS) requires a valid license for Oracle BI Publisher.
    http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/database/application_express/html/configure_printing.html
    After checking out the above link I am convinced to use a licensed version. I did see your replies in post regrading the BI publisher, (Standalone BI Publisher now available for Windows) Standalone BI Publisher now available for Windows This is in 2007.
    I checked the latest prices in BIP way too expensive. Check out BIP in $$$ terms. This is very expensive.
    Tony, Is there a way to include dynamic flash charts in Standard version of Oracle BI Publisher? Also I have a dymanic legend created with an Application Process. Can I include this in the word document? Sorry for the question list.. :) Now I want to search my options on how to proceed...
    Thanks,

    Mac OS X 10.7 requires an Intel i3, i5, i7, Core 2 Duo and 2 GB ram...to download you need to call Apple at 1-800-MY-APPLE and pay $20 for a download code for the Mac App Store.

  • Can you open a Microsoft office powerpoint document on an iPad?

    can you open a Microsoft office powerpoint document on an iPad?

    You should be able to preview it if it was sent to the iPad as an email.
    Or you can purchase Keynote for the iPad, which knows how to open PowerPoint.

  • Are the fillable pdf forms created in InDesign compatible with iPads?

    I have been producing complex fillable forms using LiveCycle which work fine in most circumstances but we're running into more and more complaints from iPad users who can't open, complete, save the forms. From my research I see that there is an incompatibility with the XFA form created by LiveCycle and the iPad software.
    I design my forms in InDesign anyway and just discovered that I can author the fillable fields using InDesign as well. It would be a giant time saver if I can use one program to create my forms but the question remains, will fillables authored in InDesign be compatible with the iPad? And secondly, Does anyone know if InDesign has equal flexibility in creating all the special objects and their behavior that LiveCycle has?

    I believe that if you name the form field the same name on multiple pages they should fill with the same values.
    However, I'm not a form expert. You would do well to ask these questions in the Acrobat Forms forum here:
    Forms
    While InDesign is being used to create the form, it doesn't really control the process. This is done in Acrobat so that's where you should ask your technical questions.

  • Does anyone know if the Sony hx50V camera is compatible with iMovie?

    Since I've had my iMac it has been hard finding a digital camera that has what I want and is compatible with my iMac.  I take lots of pictures and videos, especially at concerts and I have been through quite a few cameras and have not been satisfied with the results.  I have bought Panasonic brands and Canon because they were compatible with iMovie, but the pics and videos have been very disappointing.  For me it seems Sony cameras are the best but from past experience, some don't work with iMovie.  There is a new one that I would love to purchase, the Cybershot HX-50V.  It has great reviews and everything I am looking for in a camera.  But it doesn't specify if it will open the videos in iMovie.  If anyone has this camera, please let me know what you think of it and if it is compatible.  Or maybe some other suggestions.  I'm looking for a camera that is small and compact that has high zoom and good in low light.  Thanks for your help, I really appreciate it!

    The Cybershot HX50V uses SD or SDHC cards as well as Sony's proprietary cards, the MS duo. If using SD, you can remove the card from the camera and put it in the SD card slot in your iMac.
    The card will appear as a drive on your desktop (assuming you have Finder preferences set to show external disks on desktop).  You should then be able to import the files directly into iMovie.
    Here is some further info:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ph2153
    Before filming something important, experiment with file type settings to ensure your camera is recording in a format that iMovie will recognise.
    A general point about filming concerts (aside from the obvious ones about getting permission and ensuring copyright is not breached) - getting decent images (still or video) is difficult even with a really good camera. Lighting tends to be low so you end up having to use slow shutter speeds which means camera shake is a big problem - a good tripod (and a solid place to stand it) is essential.  Getting close enough to film is also a problem.  I have used a Canon SLR with top quality lenses (L series) wide angle and telephoto and with apertures up to f2 and still struggled to get images I am happy with. My photos tend to be of Brass Bands and these are comparatively well lit (when compared with rock concerts and the like).

  • Firefox is not presently compatible with Google Tool Bar. When do you think this may be corrected. I use Google a lot.

    Recently I updated my Firefox to 5.0. I did not know until after the loading that it is not compatible with Google Tool Bar. I use Google for many things. When might we expect that to be corrected, if at all?

    Where did you read that Google was going to update the Google Toolbar for Firefox? <br />
    http://googletoolbarhelp.blogspot.com/2011/07/update-on-google-toolbar-for-firefox.html - that is the latest information I have seen.
    Plus, recent changes at Google with them renaming their '''"accounts"''' domain will break all exiting Google Toolbar programs in existence. <br />

  • Embedding with JPA annot: column "is not compatible with expected type"

    I have the following embed case (things I guess to be inessential omitted):
    @Entity
    public class Container {
    @Id
    @GeneratedValue
    @Column(name="ID")
    private long id;
    @Embedded
    @AttributeOverride(name="value", column=@Column(name="UID"))
    private Uid uid;
    @Embeddable
    public class Uid {
    private String value;
    When I run this through the mapping tool to build the schema, it correctly builds the UID column in the MySQL Agreement table as a VARCHAR.
    However, when I try to access the table, I get the following error (I've edited class names to match my simplified example):

    I can't figure out why it thinks something should be a blob. Any thoughts?
    Thanks,
    -- Bryan Loofbourrow

    Ok, I found the problem. I hadn't added the Uid.java to the persistence.xml file, so although the mapping tool correctly recognized this as a varchar situation, the execution environment did not, taking Uid to be a nonpersistent class that it must treat as a blob.

  • HT1338 i have a macbook with mac tiger 10.4.11 , i need microsoft office, how do i get it?

    i have a macbook with the 10.4.11 tiger os ...i am in need for microsoft office for mac and do notknow how to download or install or from where to..plz help !

    Find and purchase Office 2004 or 2008; places such as Amazon or eBay may sell these. Note that if you later upgrade the computer's OS to Lion (assuming your Mac is compatible with it), you won't be able to run the Office 2004 applications.

    I bought a 2000 VA interactive UPX ( Turbo-X brand, "PLAISIO" stores' proprietary, Greece), USB-connectable  with software for Windows provided: upsmart2000i.

  • Does iWork come free with the macbook pro?

    When you buy a macbook pro does stuff like Pages come free? and if i bought pages for ipad will it be free for macbook if its not already free?

    Unfortunetly Mac's don't come with iWork (Pages, Numbers, Keynote). They only come with iLife, which consists of Garage Band, iWeb, iMovie etc.
    There is a free alternative, which does the exact same thing as iWork and MS Office, it's called Open Office. It's free to download, use and share. It's free from adds and commenrcials and is a very usefull program because it has things that iWork and the basic MS Office Mac don't offer (such as a their own version of Access and Project)
    Link to OpenOffice is Bellow

    Once on this page, download OpenOffice.org Aqua

  • Sound does not come out of iPod but can hear it with ear phones.  What happened

    CCannot get sound from iPod except from earphones.  What has happened?

    - Try cleaning out/blowing out the headphone jack. Try inserting/removing the plug a dozen times or so. There is a little switch in the headphone jack that disconnects the speaker when the headphone jack is inserted.
    Try the following to rule out a software problem
    - Check also Settings > General > Accessibility > Hearing. Make sure that the sound balance is not set all the way to "R".
    - Reset the iPod. Nothing will be lost
    Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
    least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Reset all settings
    Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
    All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
    - Restore from backup
    - Restore to factory settings/new iPod.
    - Make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store. Seems you have a bad headphone jack.
