  • Does J2ME support GPRS?

    Hi,
I am fairly new to J2ME and I would appreciate if you could help me with my questions.
I am designing a wireless application. This wireless application is going to run in the background. The application is going to read data from the GPS (built in mobile device) and based on the business logic, it is going to send the phone number to a centralized server. I dont want the user to do anything therefore I am designing this application to run in the background like a daemon. I want this applicatio to handle everything rather than the user. Here are my questions:
    1. Do you see any problems with this design?
    2. What is the best way to send this data back to centralized server?
    3. Do I have to have a mobile device with GPRS to access to this centralized server? If so does J2ME support GPSR? If not, what should I be using?
    Thanks in advance,
    Mustafa

    Hi;
    Trying to help you...
    1. Do you see any problems with this design? Yeah.... Background J2ME applications is not possible yet until MIDP2 specifications. MIDP3 probabily will have.
    2. What is the best way to send this data back to
centralized server? You can make a phone web-client sending a request to a servlet.
    3. Do I have to have a mobile device with GPRS to
access to this centralized server? If so does J2ME
support GPSR? If not, what should I be using?Yeah, you can send it over GPRS. J2ME does support this... actually, GPRS is a data switch protocol... witch turns possible to send data... its transparent for J2ME.
Try to make a simple web servlet receiving the data in parameters header. You can use a free Application Server like Tomcat (Catalina). So, use your midlet for access filling the header with the parameters and send it over your web access.

  • HP does not support Windows 8 Consumer Preview

think those who ask questions on why this does not work, that does not work, no Win8 drivers or printers etc for WIN8 need to realize that this is only a consumer review release, not even a beta, you installed it at your own risk as Microsoft says.
If you read the initial posted here by Walin within this forum it says: HP does not support Windows® 8 Consumer Preview...
so maybe reading it may provide you with insite

  • Does J2ME support introspection?

    Does J2ME support introspection?

J2ME CDC supports reflection. J2ME CDC + Personal
Profile supports Javabeans. However, I've never tried
that on CDC, so I can't say whether it works like in
the J2SE world.Hm, AFAICT the support of javabeans is at most partial. The personal profile supports some classes of the package java.beans, however apparently not those related to introspection.
E.g. IntrospectionException is missing (at least in the reference implementation). That's why log4j fails for me on CDC.
The CDC whitepaper says "partial support", but doesn't go into detail.
Does anybody know if any other CDC implementation supports introspection?

  • I purchased Premiere Elements 13.  Elements does not support Windows Vista which is our operating system.  I have Elements 12 and never had this problem.

I purchased Premiere Elements 13 & Elements does not support Windows Vista which is our operating system.  I have Elements 12 and never had this problem.  What are my options?  Do you have a compatible program for WinVista similar to Premiere Element?

    deniseu
This is not Adobe. Please do not duplicate threads. I have answered one of at least 3 of your threads currently appearing at the top of the list of threads in the Adobe Premiere Elements Forum tonight. Please see
I purchased Premiere Elements 13 and it is not compatible to Win Vista which is my operating system.  What are my options?
New to Premiere Elements 13....it does not support Windows XP, Windows Vista, and OSX 10.7.
    Also see
Removed features and unsupported file formats | Adobe Premiere Elements 13
In your other thread which I have cited above, I have posted a list of choices ahead of you. There is no workaround to get Premiere Elements 13 to support Vista, XP, or OSX 10.7 that has ever surfaced.

  • Does JVM support Windows AWE

    Hi experts,
Does JVM support (or take advantage of) of the Windows AWE (Address Windowing Extensions)?
    Thanks!
    Michael

You can find very detaild information here:
    http://sinewalker.wordpress.com/2007/03/04/32-bit-windows-and-jvm-virtual-memory-limit/
    Exceprt:
Both Sun and BAE have refused to use the AWE API for implementing their Java VMs. This is > probably because the AWE API does not allow for a contiguous address space of 3GiB, but
rather breaks it at the 2GiB mark. But, i'm not sure this is 100% true, coz i've never tried AWE myself especially for JVM.
And above doc is not authorized and not from Sun.
Why don't you test yourself(if you have environment) and share the result with us?

  • ICloud 3.0 does not support Windows 2008 r2

When I install iCloud control Panel on Windows 2008 r2, it shows me only support Windows 7& 8, how to solve this issue?

    Hello mcclxxi,
It sounds like you would like to change the format of the date in side your cells in Numbers. You can do this with the Format Inspector as Numbers has its own formats to use. This part of the Numbers 3.0 help site will assist you with this:
    Date and time
Select a cell or a range of cells.
In the Cell pane of the Format inspector, choose “Date & Time” from the Data Format pop-up menu.
Choose a format from the Date pop-up menu.If you choose None, no date is displayed in the cell, even if a date is entered and used in date and time calculations.
Choose a format from the Time pop-up menu.If you choose None, no time is displayed in the cell, even if a time is entered and used in date and time calculations.
If you don’t enter both a date and a time, Numbers adds a default value for you. For example, if you type, “1:15 PM,” Numbers adds today’s date by default.
The Smart Cell View at the bottom of the window shows you the actual value of both the date and the time for a selected cell, even if you choose to show only one in the table.

  • Lion Server does not support Windows 7 clients?

I have several clients who have Windows 7 workstations and Mac OS Lion servers. They cannot connect to their shares using any of the server accounts. I just installed Lion clean, bought Lion server and cannot connect to the shares from Windows 7 (Pro 64bit). I can connect from Windows XP Pro workstation. This is a major problem. I have read of some ways of changing the security settings in the bowels of Windows 7 to allow it connect (it is noted that these also say it will not work on Windows Home) but so far none of these methods have for me or my fellow techs. Not to mention that if to connect a Windows 7 client to a Mac we have to get in a muck with the registry every time - even if this were successful - it is a terrible way to support Windows.

This has been madness. So many alchemist fixes around Google for what seems to be a common problem: edit the registry, alter security settings, configure OpenDirectory, kiss a frog. What happened to the idea of sharing a folder on the LAN and getting back to work?
How do I confirm the string that serves as my Lion Server's FQDN?
On a (perhaps) related matter, I am confused because in my PC's "Network" list I see my Lion server as "MACMINI-0302EC" which seems like a generic machine name plus partial MAC address, but I've given the server a customized name in the server's System Preferences...

  • Satellite Pro L10: sound card does not support Windows 7

    Hi
i have a Satellite Pro L10 so i installed a Windows 7 on my system but my laptop can not support Windows 7.
I need update of sound card for Windows 7.
The model of sound car is Conexant CX20468-31 AC97 Audio Sound Card.
    Please help me

    Hi buddy
What to say first of all you will not get official drivers for this notebook for Win 7 or Vista.
This notebook is oldie and I doubt the drivers will be released.
Reading through this forum threads Ive noticed that most of the user use the Vista driver on Win 7 OS.
Maybe you should google for the Conexant AC97 Vista driver and should try a Vista driver on Win 7
    Good luck
