When I try to open safari a message says: You can't use this version of the application Safari with this version of Mac OS X 10.7.5. The application requires Mac OS X 10.9 or later.
I see Recovery needs Wi Fi which is not available here and Recovery is loaded with a list of potential disasters.
To heck with Safari I'll just use Firefox. Apple sure screwed up here judging from the multitude of similar complaints on the internet.

Never have figured out why they do not allow one S/N for both versions, particularly since some folks may have a Windows desktop and a MAC laptop. Unfortunately they do not and you have to purchase a version for each.

since version 11.8, flash player doesn't work on my macbook pro intel core 5 (safari 5.1.9 & Firefox 23). I uninstalled 11.8 and reinstalled 11.7.
It was working fine until today and blocked again on both Safari & Firefox (can delocked it on firefox). I found the 11.9 beta but doesn't work better.
Anyone can help me?

Identical problem here on a Mac Pro 3.1, 11.7 is fine apart from Safari blocking it, and forcing us to use FF. Possibly an issue that needs to be addressed with Snow Leopard users on certain hardware?

Safari let's you change your identity ( user agent string ) to anything. This is what the server thinks you are running. Want to be run Windows 7 IE8? No problem.

Get a Virtual Macine software program, Parallels, VMware Fusion or VirtualBox, and install XP in a virtual machine.
You can't install XP in a Boot Camp Partition with Lion or Mt Lion, only Win 7.

Sorry for my typo. Ofice 2008 will continue to run on Leopard and Leopard includes Safari 5.0.6. A G4 s an old machine and you will not get much speed when surfing the internet.
Leopard is no longer avilable from Apple, and costs around $200 on eBay or Amazon.

If the iPhone is locked to a US carrier, you cannot use the SIM card of another carrier on it to either activate it or use the iPhone.
If you want to use your iPhone with China unicom, you need to get it unlocked by your US carrier. Contact them to see what their unlocking policy is and if you qualify.

I have below questions regarding toplink with optimistic version locking vs pessimistic locking after checking the developer guide:
in the guide, it suggests optimistic version locking oppose row level locking with select for update.
if use optimistic version locking, additional column is required in database for each table and it keeps version of each row via toplink, how does toplink keeps the version technically, does it have triiger or other procedure installed in DB for this tacking between DB and Apps cache? how does the version gets incremented and what is the max value for it?
if there are many rows in the table, how is the performance on the database level as each update statement need to verify the version of each record or it is all done on the apps cache?

It is quite simple
With optimistic locking you have extra column in database which transfer to another attribute in your object.
So when your application reads such object it has ID (primary key) and another attribute with version.
When you persist changes to object that attribute value (read when object was read from db) i added to query, so you have something like:
update xxxx set y = z,.... , version = version + 1 where id = <your obj id> and version = <current attribute value>
That way if another session updated such object your update won't work because there is no row in table with id and version of your object.
Assumption is that there is low concurrency and you are the only one editing that object (thats why its optimistic)
There is no max value for it other then database field limit. It is incremented at every update by adding that increase to sql send to db, so no trigger/procedure is needed.
As to performance - it is usually better then pessimistic locking but some of updates can fail, and since tables are accessed by primary key anyway additional condition for value shouldn't have much performance impact.

Your mileage may differ, but when you reach the end of the trial period, you will get a dialog telling you so and directing you to log into CC and activate that version. You don't need to reload the program usually.
That said, if you were being careful, you would copy the program files to another directory. Since the program manager assets are just pointesr to the files in the directories were they reside, you shouldn't need to copy the video/image files--just the program files
