Does JE 4.0 supports BigDecimal for persistence?

Question

According to JE 3.X note, BigDecimal will be supported. Not sure if it supported in 4.0 but seems the version I am using is not (je-4.0.71).
If not, is there a plan to do that (including other commonly used java data type?) that are generally supported by ORM?

In that case, we will have multiple instances of this object. (and empty HashSet is not empty) when read from berkeley DB, i assume?When you read something from BDB, all instances are new objects. The only way to have a shared object, such as a singleton empty HashMap, is to implement a proxy.
Does berkeley DB respect the java serialization contract (readResolve()) at all?Actually, this is the same case for BigDecimal, etc for us. We have cached objects reference to these objects and canonical these object does save us lots of RAM.BTW, proxy probably can work around it but is very tedious task for our big object tree and i want to avoid it. Is there any event that get called after DLP read object from disk?>
No, proxies are used instead of readResolve. When using the DPL, and you wish to do something other than straightforward serialization, you have to implement a proxy. They should work for you, and not be too difficult to use. If you can explain a problem you're having with proxies, I may be able to help.
