The JMF Customizer has been added to the JMF performance packs.
The QuickTime file writer now creates streamable QuickTime files
Support for UNC paths such as file://unixmachine/home/videouser/video.mov
RTP Connector: a new interface that allows developers to connect JMF/RTP to their own and possibly proprietary transport services.
RTSP Processor
A new control that provides a handle on RTPManager objects to retrieve RTP statistics from the RTSP Player
The RTSP Player can handle multiple audio and video streams
JAWT support for jdk1.3+
Also please refer this URL for RTSP Documentation with examples

  • Does JMF really support RTSP

    Hi,
    I am trying to stream QuickTime .mov file located on a Darwin streaming server to a client side player/applet. The files were created using the JMF and are encoded using the CINEPAK codec.
    No error is thrown and nothing appears. I have also tried using JMStudio to display the media file but again it just seems to hang.
    Any suggestions, ideas, solutions, similar experiences would be appreciated.
    Regards
    Shane

    We beat our heads against JMF/Darwin for a long time and never got it to work adequately. The only format we could reliably serve and display was H-263 which is completely inadequate for our purposes. If you find anything, let me know.
    Good luck.

  • Does Premiere Pro CS4 really support Vista 64-bit?

    I have installed Premiere Pro CS4 on my Vista 64-bit server and recognized in the task manager that Premiere is listed as a 32-bit application "Adobe Premiere Pro.exe *32" which makes me wonder if Adobe's statement given in the FAQ is correct, where they say "Adobe Premiere Pro is optimized to run on 64-bit systems. The key advantage of 64-bit systems is that they can use up to 64GB of RAM. Adobe Premiere Pro CS4 can use large amounts of this memory because it splits different tasks into separate processes."
    Am I executing the correct Premiere Pro EXE-file (the application itself works fine) and is that 32-bit application able to make use of the fully available RAM space (which is 8 GB on my system)?

    Well great for you Harm, but this problem has me stumped.  I've been troubleshooting NLE systems since my Pinnacle DC30 Premiere 4.2 system.
    I'm looking for a solution not to start a fight so if anyone has confronted similar problems and found a fix, please reply.
    FYI, Adobe has made it clear that Premiere CS4 does not support daisy chaining decks or any other 1394 devices, but this is not my problem.
    "Adobe Premiere Pro CS4 doesn't support multiple devices on a FireWire chain or multiple devices on a FireWire card."
    Above quote copied from this Adobe support document http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/405/kb405744.html
    I'm not working with DV I have been shooting in 720P on a Sony PVW EX1 if that even matters.
    Can you explain why my external array works well with XP fairly well with 32 bit Vista?  It's an ASUS P5E Deluxe motherboard.  This is not BS, I have a long list of Microsoft case numbers and it is REAL pain having to explain to someone in India the problem over and over again. I've been told by the array manufacturer SimpleTech ProDuo that it should work with the OS drivers.  The Internet forums for other 1394 devices have many instances of 64 bit Vista incompatibility. The same problems I'm having with the same OS just different devices.  What's really weird is how it will work fine like today, it's back to normal. I have had this system working perfectly then overnight the array vanishes in my computer but shows up in device manager with an error. Then a few hours later without changing anything, it starts working again, very intermittent.  As usual, it will fail when there's a deadline.
    I've run Avast antivirus, Malwarebytes and Spybot.  Swapped cables,defragged drives, updated MB bios and software looked everywhere for solutions.
    The MB Manual is found at http://support.asus.com/download/download.aspx?SLanguage=en-us
    I can transfer content to my internal array but I'm trying to optimize a workflow that starts by shooting on SxS cards on the PVW EX1 and transferring them to the array in the field with the 32 bit Vista laptop and making rough cuts.  I keep the project files on a USB drive.  Then transfer the array and USB drive to the 9450 quad desktop system in the studio for final editing.  When I get this to work, it's a real time saver.  But transferring files to the internal array is possibly the only dependable solution for now.

  • Does Cisco Aironet 1131G really support EAP-SIM ?

    Hello!
    I have tried to configure EAP-SIM authentication on Cisco Aironet 1131G for Wi-Fi Offload but unfortunately I couldnt make it work. As far as I understand the Wi-Fi standard it is fully supported in 802.11n within WPA2-Enterprise standard. I have read Cisco datasheet for 1131G where your are claiming that you support EAP-SIM in WPA2 also. I have tried to configure it according to configuration guide but it always requires to enter password key first when I try to connect to SSID with configured WPA2 and EAP-SIM. Can you please provide us with additional info how to properly configure AP or confirm that EAP-SIM needed for seamless 3G/Wi-Fi authentication is supported only within WPA2-Enterprise.
    BR,
    Denys

    Yes EAP-SIM  is supported by Cisco Aironet 1131G. For more detail about this product you can go to below link.

  • IPhone 4 does not really support MJPEG?

    iPhone 4 tech specs claim that it supports Motion JPEG videos.
    However, *iTunes refuses to copy any MJPEG video to my iPhone 4*. If I try to drag them, it says "<file> was not copied to the iPhone <name> because it cannot be played on this iPhone". If I sync a photo folder with "Include videos" checked, it just ignores those videos.
    The videos are in exactly the format listed in the iPhone tech specs: "Motion JPEG (M-JPEG) up to 35 Mbps, 1280 by 720 pixels, 30 frames per second, audio in ulaw, PCM stereo audio in .avi file format".
    They play perfectly in both QuickTime Player and VLC. QuickTime movie inspector says they are "Motion JPEG OpenDML, 1280x720, Millions; u-law 2:1, Stereo, 44.100 kHz", frame rate 30.00 fps.
    All of my software is up to date. iPhone 4.2.1, iTunes 10.1.1.4, QuickTime 7.6.9, Windows XP Pro SP3.
    I've tried smaller video sizes (640x480). I've tried both dragging and syncing. No joy. MPEG4 videos transfer no problem, but not MJPEG.
    What's the deal? Does my iPhone 4 really support MJPEG videos? If so, how the heck can I transfer them?
    I hate to say it, but MJPEG support is looking like blatant false advertising by Apple.

    cls24 -- Click on the "iPhone" tab at the top of this page, then the "Tech Specs" link at top right. Voila. MJPEG support. This would be very handy if it worked since our cameras shoot both high-def and standard-def MJPEG.
    Monty1945 -- It would be very helpful to know:
    1) Exactly how did you transfer your "old M-JPEG files" to the iphone?
    2) Exactly what file format (eg avi, mov) and video/audio codecs (use Movie Inspector in Quicktime Player) did those files use?
    Otherwise, I have to assume you are remembering incorrectly, because I have tried MANY different combinations of codecs, formats, and fourCCs to get this to work. It simply doesn't.
    Has anyone else tried to put their MJPEG videos on their iPhone 4, and found that it doesn't work?
    Thanks.

  • Does emulator of  wireless toolkit WTK2.5.1 support RTSP protocol

    Hi everybody,
    I am working on developing streaming player in J2ME. I want to use RTSP protocol in it but the emulator is
    displaying the following output for the supported protocols.
    OUTPUT:
    http
    file
    device
    capture
    when i am using the following code------->>>>>>.
    CODE:
    Display display;
    Form formProtocol;
    public void startApp()
    display=Display.getDisplay(this);
    display.setCurrent(formProtocol);
    String strProtocols[] =Manager.getSupportedProtocols(null);
    for(int i=0; i<strProtocols.length; i++)
    System.out.println(strProtocols);
    plz help me that {color:#ff0000}*whether emulator supports RTSP protocol or not If YES than how ?.*{color}
    OR {color:#ff0000}*Is there any other emulator that supports the RTSP protocol ?.*{color}

    that output does, in fact, mean rtsp is not a supported protocol in the WTK emulator. I don't know of any emulators that do support it, but enough phones support it. Shouldn't be too hard to try it out on device

  • Does CS5 really support OS X 10.5.7?

    I'm trying to install the trial on my 10.5.7 machine with no success. The installer spoofs at around 100% completion, and then I try to launch Ps but it doesn't even show the slpash screen and crashes. Uninstaller doesnt work either, it hangs and crashes.
    Same with Master Collection trial.
    Does CS5 really support 10.5.7 ?

  • Does Xcelsius 2008 really support office xp/2003

    Hi,
    I checked the installation guide for xcelsius 2008, it shows that it support office xp/2003 and 2007.
    But when i tried to install on office xp it just aborted with office incompatible error.
    So Does Xcelsius 2008 really support office xp/2003?
    If yes then why it throws me incompatible error message, do i need to make any change?
    Thanks,
    Nimesh.

    Hi,
    I found solution for this.
    Below are the steps:
    1.     Go to Start > Run. Start the registry editor by entering 'regedit'.
    2.     Select the folder HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE and navigate to \Software\Microsoft\Office\
         a.     Create an 11.0 folder, if it doesn't exist, by selecting Edit > New > Key from the menu.
         b.     Create a subfolder called PowerPoint
         c.     Create a subfolder under PowerPoint called InstallRoot

  • Does JMF2.1.1 cross platform version support dvi/rtp

    hi!!!
    does JMF2.1.1 cross platform version support dvi/rtp ,8000.0 Hz,4-bit format???
    when i type java AVTransmit2 javasound:/0 224.0.0.1 22222 at the konsole in linux i am getting the following error:
    Audio not supported: interface TargetDataLine supporting format PCM_SIGNED, 44100.0 Hz, 16 bit, stereo, little-endian, audio data, and buffers of 22050 to 22050 bytes
    Audio not supported: interface TargetDataLine supporting format PCM_SIGNED, 44100.0 Hz, 16 bit, stereo, little-endian, audio data, and buffers of 22050 to 22050 bytes

    hi,
    I still dont understand well the jmf either, but i can confirm that i am able to capture audio (using javasound://8000) to capture at 8Khz, setting a processor model with this source, AudioFormat.DVI_RTP and ContentDescriptor.RAW_RTP
    and my transmition happens well:
    dvi/rtp, 8000.0 Hz, 4-bit, Mono
    I JUST CAN CONFIRM THAT JMF 2.1.1 DO SUPPORT DVI/RTP 8000.0 4BIT
    as per the documentation, a processor model requires:
    1. a datasource
    2. an imput audio format
    3. the output content description
    one will think then that the audio imput should be linear and the output should be div/rtp, but it seems it doesnt work like that, im digging on the docs with no success till now, so by experiments i can say that somehow the imput audio format, already tells the kind of coder one will use, that case, DVI/RTP. This means, the data is encoded to a special DVI format who prepare the packets to be Transmitted, and then on the output content one says, is data ready to be transmitted, since is already packetize you say just content is raw or raw_rtp.
    you can not for example say, then ok, convert my imput to a DVI and then packetize it to a (DVI)/RTP, because in this case you will have, starting from the capture device:
    LINEAR convert to DVI> DVI packetize> DVI_RTP -----> Tx
    why not? because there is no codec that receives DVI and convert it to DVI_RTP,
    the only one we got is com.ibm.media.codec.audio.dvi.JavaEncoder
    this one is only able to take linear and convert it to DVI/RTP
    so you have to use the model
    LINEAR ----> DVI/RTP -----> CONTENT = RAW ----> tx it, sink it, but not write...
    to write there are more problems, but that was not the question, just tx
    if someone can explain this better or point to a docs were it is explain it, ill appreciate,
    regards,
    jahm

  • Does jmf support rtsp protocol?

    i wanna know does jmf support rtsp protocol? now, i play an video(rtsp://localhost/test.avi) by JMStudio, but failed(Controller Error: Failed to realize).
    Anybody can give me some suggestion on how to solve this problem?
    I also know whether i can implement rtsp protocol by jmf? thanks in advance!

    Hi,
    From what I understand optomux is a standard that determines the syntax of the command sent. The commands are sent through serial or Ethernet. You can use LabVIEW (the VISA VIs) to communicate with a device using serial or Ethernet. However, there are no VIs that will build the optomux commands.
    I'm not familiar with them, but you can check out the optomux VIs included with the Fieldpoint explorer. That should give you an idea of how to use the VISA to implement optomux communication.

  • Thinkpad T440p: Does Intel Graphics really support 3840x2160@60Hz via miniDisplayPort?

    I am thinking of purchasing a Thinkpad T440p (i5-4200M, Intel integrated graphics, no NVidia) from a local retailer. My monitor is a Dell P2415Q (3840x2160@60Hz via DP) Will this combination work? Does a T440p i5-4200M Intel-only laptop really support 4K@60Hz as it is stated in Lenovo spec sheets?

  • Supported rtsp formet on mobiles

    I need to know the URL formats supported by media player in MMAPI (JSR-135).
    Using getSupportedContentType() method, I found that emulator does not support RTSP -- Only http links work on the emulator. The following link was tested successfully on the emulator with a player created using MMAPI (JSR-135) : http://localhost:8080/phantom.mpg
    On device, both rtsp and http links are supported. On the device, the player created using MMAPI (JSR 135) is able to play the following links:
    rtsp://123.123.123.123/public/metadata/pvmetadata.mp4
    http:// localhost:8080/phantom.mpg
    The following devices used for testing : Nokia N95, Sony Ericsson W910i.
    On the device, the player created using MMAPI (JSR 135) could not able to play the following link:
    rtsp://123.123.123.123/__MM__/dvs%3a1%3a102%7c123%7c150%7caudio%7cClientID%3d108%7c1%7c275%7c6335060020186878001%7c7%2f2%2f2008+12%3a56%3a41+PM%7c7610c6818031d4c4%7c
    The native player(player of Sony ericsson mobile "walkmen 3.0 edition") (which does not depend on JSR 135) on the device was able to play the following links.
    rtsp://123.123.123.123/__MM__/dvs%3a1%3a102%7c123%7c150%7caudio%7cClientID%3d108%7c1%7c275%7c6335060020186878001%7c7%2f2%2f2008+12%3a56%3a41+PM%7c7610c6818031d4c4%7c
    Based on the above information, Can you provide me the URL formats supported by JSR 135 ? Is there any restriction on the URL format, such as encoded format, plain format, etc. ? Is it possible to add streaming or media related parameters to the plain format that can be understood by the player ?

    RTSP does not require anything special except that you open port 554 (or alternate port if you select to use RTSP on a different port) and your mobile provider and hardware (phone) must support it
    I have a verizon voyager that supports RTSP and verizon supports it too. Try playing videos at http://m.youtube.com - this uses RTSP and if this works, your phone can handle it. Enable it in your camera, open the ports and try the URL http://YourTZODomain.Linksys-Cam.com:554/xxxxx
    (where xxxxx is the access code you set in the camera mobile streaming area)
    Thanks RemoteAccess, that's great information but doesn't answer my initial question about HTTP vs. RTSP. (I have seen your posts before on how to configure RTSP and will test that when my cam arrives this afternoon).
    My question really was to judge whether (on my supposedly unsupported iPhone) if viewing the cam via the web was the same as RTSP (minus the controls).
    By the way... as a side note: I was able to view the videos at http://m.youtube.com on my iPhone. It brought up the main page within my browser and then when I selected a youtube video to watch, it launched the YouTube app on the iPhone and played. Hmm. I'll definitely have to test this further, but it looks promising.

  • "the SIM card inserted in the iPhone does not appear to be support" help?

    Just doing this for my sister since she's has not been able to do so. From what she said, after she tried to update her iPhone 3G with the latest update, it came up with a message saying "the SIM card inserted in the iPhone does not appear to be supported." She also said that she tried to go through her phone but something came up where there was the itunes logo and the USB cord pointing toward it. We have tried going to the AT&T and Apple store but they just keep insisting that she purchases the new iphone. Because of that I am sure that they could fix our problem but they just want to sell the latest toy. Now, I've been searching through google and it keeps telling me to download some programs that will jailbreak it but I don't really trust downloading things off of the internet (unless I know they're safe). So, is there any way I can fix this problem? - Thanks

    You seem to have a carrier-locked iPhone. Only the operator can help you unlock it. You need to contact them for instructions.

  • THE SIM CARD INSERTED IN THIS IPHONE DOES NOT APPEAR TO BE SUPPORTED.....

    Hello. I bought on Dec. 17th 2007 at Orange shop in Beausoleil (south France) an iPhone with the option of unlocking the Sim (100 Euro plus). I followed all instructions. Everything was perfect, on Dec. 24th I was able to unlock the iPhone and used with Orange sim, MonacoTelecom sim and Vodafone sim. BUT the iPhone had a problem: when in sleep mode it did't received calls. So Afer 24 hours I stopped to use, UNSAFE. After Christmas holidays I called Apple assistance, they send me UPS and I returned iPhone to Apple (Jan. 4th 2008). I received a NEW iPhone on Jan. 8th 2008, VERY RUSH. Perfect service, I thought (...making terrible error...). The iPhone was LOCKED and I wasn't able to use. Now starts all the problems and for this reason I'm writing.
    I called Apple and Orange many times. Orange didn't received the documents from Apple for the changing of IMEI and Serial, for them I had the first iPhone. After many cals finally I asked Apple to send something official for the changing.
    ....Days goes on and on.......
    Every day two times I called Orange, but evert time I received different versions of my situation. Everyday I tried to restore the iPhone but still simlocked.
    On Jan.15th after a meeting with a lawyer I decided to make pression to Apple: infact I returned them an unlocked iPhone and I received back a locked one.
    I finally was able to speak with a "supervisor" (Mr. F...) and he tried to solve the problem.
    On Jan. 16th I spoke with another "supervisor" (Mr. J...) and he told me to make another time the restore, because they changed the firmware.
    From now I tried to make the restore many times with Orange sim. Everything seems to go well but when I put another sim on iTunes there is a white page with:
    "THE SIM CARD INSERTED IN THIS IPHONE DOES NOT APPEAR TO BE SUPPORTED. Only compatible SIM cards from a supported Carrier may be used to activate iPhone. Please etc etc....".
    So the iphone is locked!!! Maybe is country locked, I don't know.
    Incredible, unbelievable.
    From Apple they told me to wait someting from US, but until now ..... nothing, I received no news from Apple.
    The bad situation is that after more than 30 days after the buy I am not able to use the hardware I bought!
    I hope that someone from Apple can read this post (sorry if is so long, but with this details I think that in Apple can understand the problem).
    I send in warranty an hardware with certain features that I payed to Apple and I received back it with different features.
    That's not serious.
    After many days, next week I think to go by legal means if Apple France is'nt able to solve the issue.
    Many thanks if someone from Apple read my post.
    Many thanks if someone help me.

    But who has to make another unlock? Orange told me that for them is ok and the phone is unlocked. I read on other pages that Apple has a world-database with Imei numbers. So seems Apple can also do the unlock, even for the fact that they returned me a locked phone, different from the one I sent them. The warranty is with Apple, I forgot to warite in my first post that first of all on Janauary I went to Orange shop where I bought the iPhone but they told me for every problem is Apple that has to solve.

  • Does Adobe have a tech support contact for Flash on browsers?

    I am looking how to escalate to Adobe Tech Support but paying 29 bux an hour for some recruited college Grad that knows to little doesnt suit me.
    Bought an HP Quad and it had Win7 home so poorly installed, configured, overloaded with junk, would not backup, when it did backup and create a repair disk they wouldnt restore.  HP's preloaded Win7 build both IE8 and Firefox were crashing with both BSOD and Browsers not responding and dying. Firefox never responds to anything, Microsoft indicates is an add on problem but I think it can be a flash issue although it occurs much more on Wiin7 (ANY Version) for 32 or 64 bit.  I have been screwing with this for a month screaming at Microsoft and Mozilla but its a waste of time.
    Microsoft forums are polluted for Win7 browser BSOD and Browser halting then crashing posts, there answer is disable add-ons.  I cant surf the net without add ons so that is a stupid reponse of finger pointing, giving appearance that Msoft, Adobe and Mozilla dont communicate.  No company will take ownership and drive the issue to find the root cause and where ever that cause is make them fix it, Msfot, Adobe of Firefox.   so what do ya do?
        The HP PC with horrible preload of win7 finally died and killed the build but Microsoft was equally useless in helping me repair that preloaded junk even though the OS is theres.    I BOUGHT real disks because HP couldnt support the mess - HP couldnt support chewing food let alone the mess they place on PC's with 90% asian parts with old drivers.   Eleven escaltions starting on DAY 1 of ownership of a Pavilion.  Hundreds of crash dump error reports sent to Firefox has still gone unresponsed, as they employ the 5th ammendment ,method of silence without support and Msoft remove all add on is laughable but proves HP. Firefox and MicroSoft wont assume responsibilty.
    This sucks as all three gloat and boast about a HIGH levels of support and awards won for support but it is all myth, and laughably a lie but I still want it repaired.   28 years in IT - retired I feel qualififed to make the observation.
    I never attempted to contact Adobe but I get redirected after seeing the warning about 39 bucks an hour to answer a phone for a freeware add-on.
    Does anyone know of have a escalation path to a real person at adobe or department beause tthis site redirects from the ASK Adobe Support link meaning I cant even mail a question to then,  Already a BAD sign but the driver is free, but they wrote, and millions are having issue so where is there support -  Why bother writing  the addon if people cant even ask a question.
    So does any know if they support the flash add-on without charging?     a Glitch they might want to know about is flash 10.0.0.1 shows in Win7 Event logs as version 0.0.0.1 and I have logs showing that an addon report from the DEP (Data Execution Service) saw an add-on go to a non executalbe memory region whenthe only add-on I have is flash.
    Google for IE8 Browser Crash 566,500, Win7 Browser crash 1,500,000,  Firefox crashing 587,000, Firefox flash crash 1,420,000, Adobe flash crash 1,820,000,   are 4,615,500 google posts found for one issue and I know there are more than that failing but Im sick of the whole thing so adobe is my last gasp.   Please respond if you have a fix or path to escalate to adobe.
    Thanks.
    What a mess that no company so far stands up willing to take ownership of this just to find the root cause.

    I don't have a definitive answer, but I would guess you won't find a tech support service dedicated to the Flash Player since it is free software and customers apparently have problems getting tech support for the products they buy.  But here are a couple of things worth considering.
    Try posting/looking thru the Flash Player forum...

    Try submitting a bug report...
