Does JNDI cache physical IP address on ldap lookups?  And How to stop it?

We are using Oracle's 11.1.0.6 thin jdbc driver using the 'ldap lookup' syntax for database connect string lookups. The ldap server we specify is a DNS alias pointing to a hardware server load balancer, which returns different IP addresses based on load and current availability. During maintenance, we will remove a server from the load balancing rotation, but applications will continue to try connecting to this physical IP address even though DNS is no longer serving it up as a valid address. This causes continuous application failures until either the server is brought back up or the application is bounced. Only the application needs to be bounced, not the websphere or the physical server, so the caching is not being done at the server level.
We've used the tracing capabilities in the 11g jdbc driver to trace the fact that Oracle is passing in thd DNS alias name and not an IP address to the JNDI interface, so it appears the caching is occurring at the JNDI level. Unfortunately, tracing is not detailed enough to show exactly what JNDI calls are being made.
Is there any JNDI attributes that can be set to stop JNDI from caching this IP address and force it to re-evalute the new DNS lookup at each invocation?
We already know Oracle's jdbc thin driver supports specifying secondary failover ldap lookup strings, but this IP address is also getting cached, so while this will reduce the frequency of errors, it won't eliminate the problem, especially if a server is removed from the load balancing rotation permanently.

- Power off and then back on the router
- Reset network settings: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings
- iOS: Troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks and connections
- iOS: Recommended settings for Wi-Fi routers and access points
- Restore from backup. See:

- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
Do you have this problem with other networks/routers/access points? If not then that points to a problem with your network.

I insert the DVD and wait for the player to start automatically but after 10 minutes, nothing is happening and it sounds like the disk has stopped spinning. I've now tried with four different DVDs (all store bought and so perfectly normal disks). The Mac doesn't eject the disk or anything it just doesn't seem to respond to it being there at all.
    My main confusion is why this suddenly happened today when it was perfectly fine last week.

    The ! turns up when iPhoto loses the connection between the thumbnail in the iPhoto Window and the file it represents.
    Option 1
    Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Rebuild iPhoto Library Database from automatic backup.
    If that fails:
    Option 2
    Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. This will create a new library based on data in the albumdata.xml file. Not everything will be brought over - no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your albums and keywords back.
    Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one. .

    What do you mean by that?  Do you mean you deleted photos or albums from your iPhoto Library?
    You best solution is to use Time Machine to restore your library from just before you "cleaned your iPhoto archive".

    You might be able to re-enable it via this page : http://appleid.apple.com, then 'reset your password'
    You might then need to log out of your account on any iOS devices that you have  by tapping on your id in Settings > iTunes & App Store (Settings > Store on iOS 5 and below) and then log back in so as to 'refresh' the account on them
    If that doesn't fix it then you might need to contact iTunes Support : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page

    What apps are open and are you really still only on 10.5.1??????? At the very least please update your profile, also please remember to post more information. I suspect it's something going on with just your user account. You can verify that by creating another user account (call it TEST ACCOUNT) and log into that account and test. Once this has been verified then you will need to check which apps are running to determine what is causing your issue.

    - Proper mail box permission
    - Proper Send On Behalf of Permission
    1. Open A Message > Select From > Choose Other Address > Choose From Again > Pick the Address (Which Resolves from GAL) Finish the Message and Send - No Problem
    2. Start Another Message > Click the From drop down and the email is cached in unresolved SMTP format
    "You do not have the permission to send the message on behalf of the specified user"
    A Better message would be "Sorry Microsoft doesn't understand how to read it's own address book, properly cache an exchange email address and thinks 4 click is better than 1"
    Sorry for the rant but if any one has a solution to this it would be much appreciated.

    - CTRL-K or Check Names Doesn't Resolve the From field
    - You can send repeated On Behalf of as long as you don't the From Drop-down.

    I did some more digging and I solved it.
    This would be the solution:
    In Active Directory Users and Computers
    -Click on VIEW
    -Click on ADVANCE FEATURES  (this is important otherwise you won't see
    the complete list in the next steps)
    -Click on the USERS container
    -Find the problem user's account
    -Right mouse the account and click on PROPERTIES
    -Click on the SECURITY tab
    -In the top box, click on the SELF account
    -In the bottom portion of the screen make sure the READ PERSONAL
    INFORMATION  & WRITE PERSONAL INFORMATION  should both be checked for
    ALLOW
    If you can compare the permissions for 'SELF' with another user you probably should set them accordingly to be safe. I noticed that for the user where setting delegates (SOB) did
    not work, more than those 2 permissions were missing.

  • Url does not show up in address bar...and when i type in a search box, the cursor jumps up to the address bar automatically

    I'm not sure what happened. However, I can never see the URL in the address bar anymore.
    I go from page to page, and the URL shows only for a split second, then disappers.
    All the address bar says is "Search or enter address"
    I copy and paste a lot of URL links for work, so this makes it very painful and a hassle now.
    Where now i need to go back, right click on a link, and do "copy link location".
    Where as i used to just go up to the address bar and copy the URL.
    Also, I notice now when I start typing on certain search boxes.
    The cursor automatically jumps to the URL address bar as soon as I start typing. Which is really annoying.
    It will only do it once it seems....but its annoying when i try to type a search...only to see that i've been typing in the URL address box cus it jumped up there.
    PLEASE HELP!!!!
