And here's a list for iOS 5.

I'm not sure which of those would be Hindi, though.

  • HT4637 Does Pages for iPad support Tahoma font?

My daughter has just started University a few days ago. She was asked to use Tahoma font in her documents.
I want to know whether Pages support Tahoma font?  Please advise.  Thanks and best regards

For everybody who is sick and tired of not being able to use custom fonts in their documents on their iOS devices I might have a solution.
I ran into similar problems and took this as my motivation to develop "AnyFont". With this little app you are able to install all the fonts you need for your documents on your iPhone or iPad. So when your need Tahoma on your iPad you can use AnyFont to install it right away.
Let me know how you like it!

  • Which codecs does iMovie for iPad support?

I have videos from a Canon Powershot camera which are in 1280 × 720, H.264, Linear PCM. I can import these videos to iMovie on iPad but when I open iMovie it does not show the files.
I have also tried to import the videos via iTunes Movie Sync. I can play the video on the iPad but can not import it to a new project in iMovie.
Which codecs does iMovie for iPad support? If I can play the movie on iPad, it should be possible to edit it?
Where do I find the codecs supported by iMovie for iPad?

iMovie was made to edit video shot on iOS devices; there is no support list, it was made to edit iOS video.
This allows iMovie to be stable (or should make it stable as the case may be).
That said, you are importing the video wrong, and may be in luck with your video.
The File sharing pane is just for importing iMovieiOS projects.
iMovie cannot edit video in the Movies app.
iMovie edits video that can be seen in the photos app.
So you need to import it via the photos tab, as you would photos.
The other option is using the camera connect kit.
If you can see the video in the Photos app, it is highly likely that you can edit it.
But be warned that using non-iOS sourced video can make iMovie very buggy and flakey.
Avid for iPad is made to edit more formats and might be a better choice if you have trouble.

  • Does Garageband for iPad support audio output over Airplay?

Since I don't currently have an Airplay output device on my network, I can't tell if Garageband supports this. Anyone know?
    Thanks.

When the iPad or iTunes is sending music/video to an AirPlay Output device, it is actually sending the music/video file over to that device to play rather then just sending 2 channels of audio.
For this reason, GarageBand would be a difficult task asnit would need to send up to 10 files (8 tracks and 2 effects) over the network to play in perfect sync.
For this reason, garageBand would not be stable and you would have a large amount of drag.

  • TS1424 Purchased Keynote for iPad and it does not show in iPad

Purchased Keynote for iPad. Download complete. Does not show on iPad. How to resolve?

If you can't find it on any of the iPad's homescreens or app folders, then can you find it via the spotlight search screen (swipe your first home screen to the right) - there is a limit of 11 homescreens after which apps are accessed via the spotlight searchscreen. If not then if you go into the Purchased tab in the App Store app does it show as downloaded ?
If that shows it as downloaded but you still can't it then you could try a reset to see if you can find it after the iPad has restarted : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

  • Fail to import Keynote 09 presentation to Keynote for iPad

Up to now, I did not manage to import a presentation to Keynote for iPad. I already tried to simplify the presentation as much as possible (changed font to Arial, removed background, compressed embedded pictures). The presentation runs smoothly in Keynote 09 but as soon as I try to open it on the iPad, I get an error message "Unknown error". Does anybody experience the same issue? Any ideas how to proceed?
Thanks in advance - I really appreciate any hint as I love the iPad and using my presentations on it is a core application for me.
    Thomas

Thomas!! Great to see you here, as I was looking into this exact problem! My sig other got it working after having this issue for a while:
She was able to succeed simply by opening the keynote file on her Mac, then doing a 'save as' to get a fresh copy and a new name. Note that we tried just copying the file to a new location first without success.
Importing the fresh file worked perfectly. Hope this helps you and others... Hope all's well with you! =)
    Cheers!

  • Keynote to ipad, with custom fonts and graphics

Have a keynote presentation we've spent a lot of time on.
    Custom fonts, graphics.
I've given up trying to import it into keynote on the iPad. Fonts alone are a big issue.
So, trying converting it to quicktime, but then it plays as a movie, there is no simple, elegant solution to pause, or tap through the presentation.
    Or, am I missing something?!
    Appreciate any help.
    Charles

    Hi, i found this "solution".
It's impossible to upload new fonts on iPad, but you can convert your slides in pictures and upload your new presentation on iPad.
I dont' like it ... but it's the one way i found.

  • I purchased keynotes for ipad.  Now that I have an iMac, should it be available? Or do I have to repurchase it for iMac?

I purchased keynotes for ipad.  Now that I have an iMac, should that purchase be available?  Or do I have to repurchase it?

Sadly, yes.  The iPad application and Mac application are different programs.  Buying Keynote for iPad does not also give you Keynote for MacOS.

  • Greek letter problems - Keynote 09 for Macbook vs Keynote for iPad

i have an older macbook pro running keynote 09, and an iPad 2 running the current version of Keynote for iPad. i'm getting erratic behavior uploading presentations to the iPad with greek letters (selected through the character viewer). in general, when i upload presentations the greek letters change to some sort of alien head glyph. if i delete them and reupload, sometimes the greek letters may show up, but it's erratic. how do i fix this?

It sounds like you could be using a non-standard font to create your greek on the macbook.  Try using the greek keyboard to input these characters instead of the character viewer.  What OS X version is on your macbook?

  • Keynote for iPad 2 didn't work on my TV (1366x768)

    Hi,
I just bought the keynote for iPad and didn't figure out why it is not working with my external monitor (LCD TV 1366x768). It's not a problem with my VGA adapter once I have two other apps working well (quickoffice and penultimate).
I've tried different things (even shutdown the iPad before connect the VGA adapter), but the it seems the keynote didn't recognize the TV (or vice-versa).
I really would like to use the keynote instead of using quickoffice, once my powerpoint presentations are far better when displayed on keynote.
I hope someone can help me.
    Regards,
    Marcello.

    Two solutions:
    1) Full Screen Mirroring -- If your iPad has iOS 5, you can turn on full screen mirroring. Expose the multitasking bar by double-clicking on the Home button. Go the far left. Press the Airplay button. Then select the display device and turn the Mirroring slide switch to On.
    2) Slideshow -- If you can't do full screen, then Keynote will display only when it is doing a slide show (press the button wit the triangle on it).

  • Can I use Keynote for Ipad with my PC?

Can I use Keynote for Ipad with my PC?

Unfortunately, this is not true either. For some reason, when you export to PDF, and open the PDF on a PC, it often says it cannot read the font and you get a PDF that looks like it's very sick.
I'm not sure exactly how PDF works, but I don't know why it needs to be able to read a font correctly? I thought PDFs were readable on anything because it basically printed the document on a page, which is why you cannot edit it.

  • Does the New iPad support SIRI as iPhone 4s?

Does the New iPad support SIRI as iPhone 4s?
I saw mic icon on left side of space is look like siri feature but i don't know how to setting.
    anyone can help for this?

That would not be Siri, that would be dictation. When you want to say something rather than type it, tap that button and say want you want. All of your words will be changed into text. It's very similar to dragon dictation. Siri currently is just an iPhone 4s thing.

  • Webex Meeting Center and Jabber for Ipad support in Webex Telepresence

Hello, I have a two questions which are unclear based on my browsing of posts in this thread.
    1) Are traditional Webex Meeting Center meetings able to be joined to a Webex Telepresence session?  Ie. I have two callway/webex telepresence nodes (SX20 and a C40) can they have a webex meeting center participant brought in?
    2) Is Jabber for Ipad supported using the Webex Telepresence service?  Using the example endpoints above I have a SX20 and C40 and they want to add a Webex for Ipad endpoint in.
    Thanks.

You cannot have Telepresence endpoints using Callway service(WebEx TP service) join a webex session directly. You can do this however using WebEx enabled Telepresence which is meant for on-premise users to work with WebEx
    http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/telepresence/infrastructure/tms/config_guide/webex_enabled_telepresence/cts_webex_config.html
In the call way (aka WebEx tp service), the work around is you have to use an endpoint that has multi site capabilities to make one video call and see video from other end points and then make an audio call to the WebEx service and bridge them together. Now users can audio and video and presentation remains on WebEx but it's not like the true webex enabled telepresence which today call way doesnt support
See attached PDF last page. Also you may need a PSTN subscription to make that call happen
