I dont hear anything from my hp laptop's fan but the laptop works I wonder if it is broken or not, does laptop work if fan broken?

My co-worker has given me his iPod to take home and transfer his music to my laptop, however, I am unable to access his music to download it to my computer. How does this work?
You need to transfer the iTunes Library from the most recent backup you made before the hard drive was replaced.
You can't transfer the full iTunes Library from the iPad back to iTunes.
There are third-party Windows applications that will transfer data from an iOS device, but they don't re-create the iTunes Library exactly as it was before. -
My o2 email account does not work when sending from my MAC it will accept incoming mail but not send it gives me a message that o2 account (offline) my mac I have no problem with my iPhone or mac laptop. any suggestions please.

I did what you've told me, new account and manually copied my files from Time Machine. I had lots of permissions problems, but at the end, almost everything is in order... It seems it had to be with some of the Apple Preferences, but I can't be sure, as most of them were dumped to the trash can.
I still don't have my Mail Rules back, unfortunately, although I did goggled some. It is a pity, as I had around 30 or 40 of them, getting my mail in order to each of its mailboxes, but it is a small price as the rest doesn't show the before syntoms.

How can I get my itunes onto my new laptop? Do I need to download itunes again or can I just copy it? My ipod classic has since been soaked in water and does not work so I cannot copy from there. Can anyone help?
You should copy everything from your old comptuer to your new one.

I have a new laptop and I am trying to download CS3. The site on adobe gives an error message and the one I tried from this forum downloaded CS3 extended, so my serial number does not work. As above, I have also tried downloading a later version, also tried downloading Google Chrome, none work. I have tried using my laptop at several different wifi connections in USA and Firefox does not work on any. So it is not a wifi set up problem in our home in USA. I am running X.P and I.E 6. When I downloaded I.E 8 that would not work either, so I had to re set the laptop back to a date a week ago.
Unable to access certain bank sites with I.E 6, that is why I use Firefox. Any suggestions appreciated.

Getting my laptop fixed , how does it work?
I know it may sound really basic but how does it work if I want to get my laptop fixed? Do I just walk into the store and find a random assistant or what?

My laptops QWERTY row of keys does not work for long periods at random intervals and only after pushing all the buttons on the row does it eventually turn back on and then will still cut out every now and again, anyone know how to solve this? If not is there any way to actually get a genuis appointment lol to get one of them to have a look at the hardware on the keyboard?

This cart reader is a kind of multi card reader and you can use different cards with it. In my opinion every multi device should be used very, but very gently. I do not know what happened exactly in your case but maybe you have damaged something inside.
Try to restart your notebook and use other SD card to check if everything works well. Please do it very gently and if you see something is wrong stop with inserting the card.
I use 1 GB SD card on my A200 without any problems.
In my opinion you should check notebook by technician.

Did you ever get a solution to your problem? Because I am having the same problem. I was actually in the middle of using Word when the keyboard stopped working. But it works in other apps, including in Excel.
Thing is that my laptop just got back from Apple for repairs and they replaced everything but the display - including the hard drive.
So not only do I have plenty of hard drive space, but it should be virus and error free otherwise.
I have only installed a few programs and redownloaded some of my files from places like Dropbox, but otherwise is essentially a new system.
Oh - and it came with Yosemite, so I did not upgrade to Yosemite and still Word doesn't work.
I've always had trouble getting Word to play nice with my Mac but that was also with the old, full hard drive.
This is a fresh install. And since I lost all my files, I only had like 1 old file I have downloaded from email and accessed and was in the process of
creating a new file when it crashed. I got no error, the keyboard just stopped working (to type). I also cannot even get Word > Preferences to even open,
so it is completely unresponsive.
I did a Google search and under the Microsoft communities two suggestions to that person were that there may be multiple copies installed -
I have only the one - and that one is in the wrong place - again, I only have the one and it installed to the Hard drive (visible in Launchpad / Apps).
Another suggestion was that there was some problem with the updates. I ran updates and they installed fine. That helper suggested that the user
may have had different updates that worked for the other Office apps (Excel, PPT etc.) but not Word and that was at least part, if not all of his problem,
but all my Office apps show the same update version 12.3.6, so that cannot be the issue with me.
I've not yet tried uninstalling and reinstalling, but as I got no errors on the original install or updates, I'm not sure if that would fix it.
I've found that Mac just doesn't play nice with some programs at all.
And even though I have a factory installed version of Yosemite on a new, fresh hard drive, even when I booted up, my iPhoto app (which is empty) crashed. I am not sure if my iPhone or iPad was charging at the time, but I don't think so. iPhoto that I still have not even used has crashed several more times since, most notably when plugging in my iPhone / iPad to charge, namely when I declined to upload photos (by default) to DropBox. That may not be related at all, but thus far seems the only other problem I have encountered until this Word problem.
I'm on a MacBook Pro, Sept. 2009, running OS X Yosemite 10.10.1 factory installed from Apple repairs running Office: 2008 for Mac (Home and Student edition).
Please advise if you found a resolution and what it was.

Thinkpad laptop, red "mouse" button/nub in keyboard does not work with version 4.0, Why?
IBM and/or Lenova laptop computers have the red button/nub in the center of the keyboard that acts with "mouse" functions such as scrolling up and down pages. After downloading Version 4.0 of Firefox this feature does not work anymore. Is it locked in some settings?
i figured it out!
1) go to control panel
2) click on mouse
3) click on the UltraNav tab at the top
4) for the TrackPoint, i have the Enable TrackPoint box checked and the "Use as pointing device with advanced features
5) click on Settings
6) click on settings again towards the bottom right
7) for "Scrolling Type" click on Smooth.
