Does Leopard require registration number/activation code like XP???

I am new to using Apple computers , well I learnt on Mac in high school which seems like decades ago.
I have been currently using XP until my boyfriend purchased his sisters old PowerBook G4 for me & gave it to me for xmas. I need the new operating system - Leopard - & I have seen it quite cheap on eBay. I was wondering if like XP, does the Leopard OS require a legit serial number/activation code? I am really inexperienced & would like to know before I go spending money on an OS that I cannot use. One of the sellers on ebay assures me it doesnt require any form of registration. He also told me that you cannot burn/back up a copy of Mac software eg. Leopard & assured me it is legit. Please Help!!!

No, the Leopard DVDs can be copied. I made a backup of it the day it arrived.

Not sure it's legal to sell that second disk. Your license and therefore the license for the DVD applies to your DVD(s). However, you might consider simply donating it to a worthy cause.

Sign in to your Adobe account online and see if your serial number is available via the My products section. If you regstered your software then it should be available there.
Your only other hope beyond that would be to contact Adobe Support thru chat and see if they can help you. Also ask them to reset your activations so that the lost installation is essentially deactivated.

Good day experts.
This is the issue we are currently importing a SFC into the system or using the supplier barcode for the SFC inside visprise. We unfortnately use two diferent product types from the same supplier where the two don't really have any differeneces. The products are hard drives one is 40 gig and the other is a 80 gig, but inside visprise we are having troubles keeping the product seperated.
We are wanting a way to check the barcode, because the part number is inside this barcode from the supplier to seperate the two inside visprise.
I thought about using check next number activity code, but unfortnately this isn't getting the job done. I was wondering if I was doing something wrong. As of right now I have the acitivity codes create SFC as Pre-start and check next number as a pre-validate start. I have tried changing the hook point, but nothing seems to work. I can force it to not work at all or work for everything.
I have a setup the next number maintenance and I can print out the correct barcode for this material, but I can't prevent us importing a incorrect barcode.

Basically this is what is happening. We are 'importing' Barcodes into the data base. Problem lies we have two materials that are very close to each other (both hard drives) they are getting mixed inside the test equipment causing us to much down time. I was reading up on the activity codes and was wondering how next number maintenance or mask valiation was working inside SAP ME. To try and prevent the confusion.
The biggest differences between the materials, that concerns SAP ME, is the barcode format. The two different part numbers are inside the the supplier barcode that is given to us, which we are currently using for our SFC in SAP ME.
It isn't a requirement for me to use SAP ME, but I was exploring every avenue. If it is true that these only work at the specific points that the help site is suggesting i will try a different avenue, this is looking very possible right now. I have tried using the activity codes with no luck in succeeding in the goal.

Bluetooth icon on menu bar shows bluetooth off. When opening bluetooth preferences it shows the devices I've connected previously,( my mobile phone), and other devices I've attempted to connect but not very successfully: my iPhone and MiniMac. The bluetooth dongle in the USB port shows a continual blue light but does not react and the iBook does not recognise that it is there. There is absolutely no reaction when I try to pair my mobile phone, which I've done successfully before upgrading to Leopard, either by the iBook or the mobile phone.
I assumed that Tiger was not bluetooth compatible with the iPhone or MacMini running SnowLeopard and hoped by upgrading to Leopard I could achieve some file transfers between the three devices (iBook, iPhone and MacMini)

Apple TV does not display Watch ESPN activation code

Hi.
I am trying to activate Watch ESPN on my Apple TV and the app does not display an Activation Code. There is a big, blank space where one would logically think an activation code could fit but, unless it
is written in black text on a black background, I'm not seeing it. Not sure if the fact I'm trying to activate a Time Warner Cable account matters or not.

I now believe that your Apple TV has to have a hard internet line in order to connect to ESPN. At least that's what sorted me out.

Any table or function module which can provide me the data is fine.

1. List VAT Codes : use table T007A
    VAT Rates : You can use table KONP, or use function module GET_TAX_PERCENTAGE
2. VAT Registration Number is usually maintained in Tax Number 1 in Vendor Master, so you can found it in table LFA1-STCD1

User registration with activation code

I've been lurking around these forums for a long time and learning a lot, but it seems I've encountered a problem I can't yet find a suitable solution to.
I'm a student and I'm rather new to apex. There are things I've been able to do (even use some jQuery... The names 'Patrick' 'Dan' and 'Tom' immediately come to mind so thank you!) with the help of this forum but some things are really out of my reach. To get to the point, I have an application where I'd like to register users but first they need to click a link of some sort they'd receive by email that activates their account.
There are three types of user - 'ADM' (an administrator) 'AUT' (as in author) and 'STU' (as in student). Students should be able to register their accounts directly, and that's where the trouble lies.
Before I describe the process, the structure of my 'users' table is like this:

As you can see, there is one column of particular interest here, and that is the ACTIVE column. It simply contains a single character that can be any of the following: 'Y' for active user, 'B' for banned user and 'N' for inactive account. When a student registers, the ACTIVE column defaults to N, and they may not do any user actions until their account is activated. When they click on this link that supposedly activates their account, their status is changed to Y. When an administrator bans them, of course their status changes to B, and they may no longer access the site.
The process should flow like this:
1. User registers an account
2. The application confirms registration and emails them an activation link
3. The user views that email and clicks on the link; their account is activated.
What I'm having trouble with is not particularly emailing someone as I've found a tutorial to do that, but instead I would like to know how to generate a link that changes the value in that column when clicked from an external location (like someone's email inbox). The greatest catch is this: My application is not hosted online, it is on my local machine. So the location of apex is at the localhost:8081/link. I'm not sure how to perform either action.
Any help at all is greatly appreciated - I lost many hours researching on this issue already.

As you can see items CONF_ID,USERNAME are populated, one with hash value another with username.
In CONFIRM page there is process that calculates the hash again out of username and compares to CONF_ID.
If it agrees, then fine, if not, then sorry.
There are other usual things: no double confirmation, no random navigation of someone to that page and etc

My question is will Java allow me to execute scripts to modify the registry, run external commands, and work with text files directly from a webpage.
My goal is for users to click on a link in a webpage that would do any of the above tasks.

Not per default. If you have an applet, and the user has essentially removed all security restrictions, then sure, in one way or another, it's possible. Is it likely that that will ever occur? No.
Come on, if it did have this ability, don't you think there would be a proliferation of Java Viruses out there, and that then, it would not have that functionaility much longer?

in vendor master i am able to see the field VAT.
I guess VAT(valuea dded tax) and GST(goods and servcie tax) are different... am i right?

In the end it was quite simple but requires some particular authorisation...
I went to SE16 and entered table T001I to see all the parameter entries available and then used the create option to add in a new Paramater Type...
The main requirement to have this option for the SG company code is to enter the ISO code that is specified in the country settings (Table T005 or T/C OY01).
Once this entry has been created in SE16 (not sure of the exact authorisation requirement - but speak to the technical team) you can then go to the additional details and see the new parameter...

MB1A requires Serial number with some movement types

I am using MB1A for goods movement. The client has a movement type (X82) which when I use it does not require serial number for goods movement. There are other movement types which when I use them in MB1A do require serial number. Now, I copied movement type X82 to a new movement type (X68) (IMG activity 'Copy, change Movement Types', option 'Copy all'). I did again the exercise in MB1A with new movement type X68 and what happened: SERIAL NUMBER IS REQUIRED!
Do you know about any additional configuration in order to achieve that there NO SERIAL NUMBER is required? I appreciate a lot your help as I am a little bit hurried with this issue!

All movement types are 3 digit (non-alpha). Are you absolutely sure you have an X82 movement type ?
If you have that is quite an unusual bespoke development.

I agree with zukes. There is no activation code entry, or at least there wasn't when i installed the app. You are using the app from the appstore, as opposed to going in thru safari, right. I do not know where you are from, and maybe the international app is different. But in the us, all you need is your e mail and password from your netflix account.

Dealing with error:AR191-ISO code in VAT Registration Number in Cust Master

Hi,
While creating a Customer Master, user wants to enter a VAT Registration number (in the control data tab) which begins with a country code(ISO code) that is not the country code of the company code for which the customer is created.
As a standard practice, system prevents this throwing error AR191 suggesting that ISO Code not correct in VAT Reg. number
Is there any way by which we can still allow user to enter a VAT registration number of his choice & requirement, which is not beginning with the ISO code of the country in which company code exists
See example below:
Country of Company Code XYZ :UK
Customer Created in this company code should ideally have VAT Reg. Number starting with ISO code for UK but user wants to have a different VAT Reg. Number used which is not starting with ISO Code of UK.
Is there option available in SAP by means of which we can deactivate this check?
In the configuration for u2018set country specific changeu2019, we can select options based on the length of the VAT Reg. Number and itu2019s formatting but how can we get rid of the check on ISO code?

The length of the VAT number, which is important for this check,
is stored in field UINLN.
If the check comes across an invalid format, an incorrect country key, or an incorrect check digit, the exception NOT_VALID is triggered, and an error message is sent. If the check runs successfully, nothing will be drawn to the attention of the user.
The check rules are stored in table T005 in the field PRUIN.You can deactivate the following rules.......
1 Maximum value length, without gaps
2 Maximum value length, numerical, without gaps
3 Length to be kept to exactly, without gaps
4 Length to be kept to exactly, numerical, without
5 Maximum value length
6 Maximum value length, numerical
7 Length to be kept to exactly
8 Length to be kept to exactly, numerical
9 Check against country-specific edit format
10 Deactivate Postal Code Check for USA
