Does Lion Mail send saved Drafts like Notes?

After saving an email as "Draft", I also received it in my Inbox. However, my Sent items box does not contain the email. Is this normal?

Can't send saved draft in Mail

I saved a draft Mail. When I open it to work on it the Cancel and Send buttons are not active and I can't get out of the draft. I have to turn off my iPad and go back into Mail to send the draft or delete it. How do I fix this?

Have you tested bypassing the router connecting direct to the modem?
If not, you need to do so and if the same does not occur when connected direct to the modem, this indicates a problem with the router and you need to check the router manufacturer's website for an available firmware update for the router model targeted at OS X users.
Or try resetting the router and the modem first if you haven't already done so.
Turn off your Mac first. Turn off or unplug the router and then do the same with the modem. Wait 5 minutes. Plug the modem back in allowing it to completely reset and then do the same with the router. Turn on your Mac.

Can't send saved Drafts

Since updating to iOS 5.x I have been unable to Send, Save or Delete "saved Drafts". When I select a Draft the dialog window opens and I can edit the Draft, but both the Cancel and Send buttons are disabled. I can not close the dialog window. If I quit and re-run Mail the dialog window is still open and the Cancel and Send buttons are still disabled. If I run a second app, double-click the iPad Home button, press and hold the Mail icon until the "-" symbol appears, and use that to quit Mail, the dialog still appears when I run Mail, but both the Cancel and Save buttons are now functional. If I power the iPad off completely, restart it and run Mail, the dialog window does not appear and Mail works normally (save for the Drafts issue). All thoughts and advice welcome!

Saved drafts do not load

When saving drafts, I cannot go back to work on them because they dont load. In addtion to that, I do not have an option to move them or send them only the option of deleting. I really need your help to figure it out since Those drafts are long and very important. Thank you

What sort of drafts? (Mail messages, Pages documents, etc.)

Mail sender adapter POP server not configured for URL access

Hi Experts,
I have a Mail --> PI --> R/3 scenario and I am configuring the Mail sender adapter for POP3. The issue is that the POP server is not configured to be accessed via a URL and hence the URL pop://hostname/ is causing the following error at runtime:
_1. When I use pop://Fully qualified host name/
_Error: exception caught during processing mail message; java.net.UnknownHostException
_2. When I use pop://IP address of host/
_Error: exception caught during processing mail message; java.net.SocketException: Connection timed out:could be due to invalid address
I am able to ping the POP3 server from the PI server using both the FQDN and IP address.
Can someone please help.

also check mailserver security settings ...
Connection refused occures when XI cannot connect
in most cases so try checking it again , maybe some ports are not opend on the firewall

OS X Lion - Mail send no paper clips icon

I just buy the new MacBook Pro, I got problem on OS X Lion, when I sent out e-mail with attachment, the send box attachment column does not show the paper clips, just only the send box can't show the paper clips on my new send e-mail, I have already contacted the Apple Support on Hong Kong but they told me the new version will never show the paper clips on send box, I am very confuse why new version will not show the paper clips, but still have attachment column.
Actually the Hong Kong Apple Support are totally rubbish, because I ask many question such as how to migrate the address book, they also can't answer my question, all problem i need to solve myself.

This is a bug still in May 2012. The workaround solution is to set up a rule as below.
1 - Create a rule in the Mail Preferences pane
2 - Call it "Get My Paperclip Icons Back!"
3 - Set conditions as below :
A - If ALL of the following conditions are met :
B - From Ends With [Your email address here]
C - Any Attachment Name Contain "." [with the quotations around the dot]
Perform the following actions :
D - Mark as Read [which really makes no impact on how its viewed]
Click Ok. When message "Do you want to apply your rules to messages in selected mailboxes?" I chose "Dont Apply". [But you can click "Apply" if you are in the "Sent Folder"
Then go to your sent folder, Select your messages [recent/all], and right click "Apply Rules" or from the menu Message -> Apply Rules.
Voilla! Paperclip icons are back.

Why does my iphone4 send pictures as png not jpeg?

Have looked to change setting , but cannot find no option. E-mail picture through hotmail and gmail from camera program on iphone4, they show up as PNG and not a JPEG attachment, anyone help?

My best guess is that using .png is easier to send (uses less data/smaller file size) than .jpeg.

I have several email accounts configured in my mail app.
For no reason it started sending email from one of my accounts with another email address, so when people reply to my email (from a particular account) it goes to another inbox and I sometimes miss it.
Any tips?

In Mail>Preferences>Accounts>you can set Each Mail account to "Use Only This Server" located at the lower right of the window below, which you specify once. Then the Mail app will not have a choice of server available to pull those shenanigans.

Mac mail sending messages to people not on distribution

When sending a reply to a mac mail message that originally had several people in the distribution the reply message will send to everyone in the distribution even if you manually take out an address from the message you are sending out.

In have a similar problem. I consistently request that names of all people on send list to NOT be shown to individual addressees, but consistenly are sent all the names. Can this be corrected?

I cannot send mail anymore with accounts from my domain and email provider.
My hosting provider defines a user name with an email adres: <string>@<domain>
Could this me the problem? I do not have any problems with my me.com account.

Why does my mail say this message has not been downloaded by the server

Suddenly the majority of my MSN emails say they are not downloaded by the server on my ipad. I didn't have this problem before. I have tried rebooting my ipad and also restarting my email but nothing helps.

Where is the "Addrss Book Icon" in the Send Tool bar in Lion Mail?

Just installed Lion. Went to send a note and use the "address book" icon to simplify the sending address but could not find it.

How do I import .eml emails, etc. from Windows Mail 2011 (online version) to Lion mail program?

I have tried to find out how to import my stored .eml emails from my previous PC into my new Mac Mini Lion Mail program, so I will not lose them all. I have tried going through Thunderbird, but all it keeps giving me for choices is Apple Mail and Eudora. Then the Mail on the Mini only gives me choices that do not include the .eml files. Please help! I have a gazillion emails saved and don't want to lose them! Thanks very much!

Does Lion support MSN Messenger? If not, any solutions?

I'm running MS Office 2011 on Lion and it runs just fine. No "Full Screen", but it runs just fine. There may have been an update to install (I know there was an iWork one anyway), but even before I installed any updates Office '11 worked just fine.
