Does Lion support tethering with usb cable
Had no problems tethering to both iphone and android before installing lion.
Try updating the carrier settings, if that doesn't do it try following along with this Apple doc -> iOS: Troubleshooting Personal Hotspot

Does Lion support MS Office for Mac 2011? The RoaringApps compatibility list shows Office 2011 having some unspecified problems with Lion. Any confirmation yest showing compatibility with Office 2011?
I'm running MS Office 2011 on Lion and it runs just fine. No "Full Screen", but it runs just fine. There may have been an update to install (I know there was an iWork one anyway), but even before I installed any updates Office '11 worked just fine.

Using AC adapter to charge is better than charge it with USB cable?
I've been reading this on http://www.ipodbatteryfaq.com/
"When possible, always use the AC adapter (or vehicle adapter) for extended charging, not a FireWire cable attached to a computer."
The artical does not explain why, but I'm curious about it.
So, does charging iPod with USB cable really damage the battery?
Is it always better to charge iPod with AC adapter?
Any answer will be appreciated, thanks in advance anywayEven if you use an a/c adaptor you still need the usb cable to connect it to the iPod. The very same cable you use to connect to the computer.
A firewire cable is something completely different, and although the 5th gen iPod will charge via a firewire cable they are not supplied with the iPod (because the iPod won't accept data transfer via firewire).
When reading about the iPod battery, you should remember that there is an awful lot of nonsense said. I've never found any difference whatsoever either charging via a mains adaptor or via a computer. -
I plugged my Ipad3 in order to update the software to version 6.1 but I got an error message and my Ipad is locked now, it's showing the Itunes logo with USB cable on the screen. What should I do now?
You will probably need to restore using Recovery Mode. You can read about it here.
http://support.apple.com/kb/ht4097
Or you can follow these Recovery Mode Instructions
Disconnect the USB cable from the iPad, but leave the other end of the cable connected to your computer's USB port.
Turn off iPad: Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red slider appears, then slide the slider. Wait for iPad to turn off.
If you cannot turn off iPad using the slider, press and hold the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons at the same time. When the iPad turns off, release the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons.
While pressing and holding the Home button, reconnect the USB cable to iPad. When you reconnect the USB cable, iPad should power on.
Continue holding the Home button until you see the "Connect to iTunes" screen. When this screen appears you can release the Home button.
If necessary, open iTunes. You should see the recovery mode alert that iTunes has detected an iPad in recovery mode.
Use iTunes to restore iPad. -
Charge my phone with USB cable
Hi DearsI have a Z3-compact phone. When I connect it to my copmuter with usb cable, it does not charge. Please help me, how can I solve this problem????
Hi Z3-sam,
Welcome to the community.
One thing to note, if you are using the device on say a work computer, there may be security restrictions that wont allow MTP mode to charge the handset.
You could try changing the device in to MSC mode and then seeing if the charge works.
Menu > Settings > Xperia Connectivity > USB Connectivity > USB Mode > MSC

does lion support quicken
As Allan has said, no, Intuit has chosen not to keep Quicken well updated, and have only offered a dumbed-down version for Lion users. They have announced that they plan to update Quicken 2007 for Lion sometime "in the spring," but I wouldn't hold my breath, considering their track record. They do not value their Mac-using customers, and you don't want to do business with a company that does not value you. Take this opportunity to migrate to some other banking software.

Does Lion OS work with Quickbooks 2009?
Does Lion OS work with QuickBooks 2009?
Intuit says they won't support it (nor QB 2010), that it has problems under Lion, and that you need to upgrade to QB 2011 r20 or QB 2012.

Slightly worrying that no USB functionality at all with device which might be indicative of possible hardware problem.
Have just established Bluetooth connection between E72 a similar S60 3rd Ed FP2 device as your E5-00, You are going to Menu > Ctrl. panel > Connectivity > Bluetooth - tap two bluetooth icon tab (next to spanner one) at top of screen > Options - start it searching for new device at the same time? Would have to say that it seems to take Windows 8 a long time to set it up:

I just bought a new HP OfficeJet Pro 8600 printer. I have been unable to download the installation for wireless connection even though have had the assistance of Costco tech, HP tech and some advice from Apple. Because the system is MacOs 10.5.8 the error says it is incompatible, even though the product lists compatiblilty with 10.5, 10.6. I was advised 1 option might be to obtain Snow Leopard for installation, however am somewhat reluctant as the bo states 10.5 should work and Snow Leopard is 10.6, which is also listed as compatible. I am unable to get the printer to work even with USB cable. Too much time spent on this and I hate to start over with another printer because I'm afraid I might have the same trouble. Is Snow Leopard something I should get anyway? Help!
Snow Leopard has more compatible Java.
https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-2455
explains more about upgrading to Snow Leopard.
If that doesn't work to fix the problem, then see my FAQ* on printing:

My ipod ejects itself, immediately after connecting with usb cable, before synchronizing could start. What’s wrong?
Have you tried plugging the iPod in with a different USB sync cable to verify the issue is not with the cable? It might not also hurt to connect it to another USB port as well.
Otherwise, try manually placing the iPod into Disk Mode and then connecting it to your PC.
