Does logic pro 9 compatible with FCP 10.0.8

Does Logic pro 9 is compatiblewith FCP 10.0.8 coz when trying to export file from FCP 10.0.8 in .XML format it import in logic pro 9 but only audio comes no video comes

Since I'm not in the middle of anything critical and have multiple backups, I decided to take the plunge and upgrade. I've only been running for an hour or so, but here's where I am:
2008 MacPro, 8x2.8Ghz, 16Gb RAM. SSL MADI PCIe card for I/O. Logic 9.1.7
Tested with a couple of recent, decent size projects (40+ tracks, VIs and plugins). Not seeing any perormance differences.
Working:
- Euphonix MC Mix
- UAD2 Duo
- Spectrasonics Omnisphere
- NI Komplete 8
- Waves 9
- Soundtoys 4
- Wallander Instruments
- EW Play
- Melodyne
NOT Working:
- Access Virus TI. Plugin opens but cannot connect to Virus. I am running the latest stable v4 release - I will try installing the v5 public Beta and report back. This is a deal breaker so if I cannot get it working I will roll back to Lion
- SSL Duende Native. Authorization is failing. Possibly a CodeMeter issue or just authorizations lost during upgrade - will look at this next.
Make sure you are running the latest iLok driver - there was one released a few days ago.
More as it develops.

Is Logic Pro X compatible with Digi 002?

It s a problem for me to upgrade from my  late 2007 macbook Core2Duo 2,16ghz system running snow leopard and protools 7.4.2 through digi 002 rack, Command 8 and emagic Unitor 8mk2, to my new  macbook pro i5 2,5ghz...
I chose this MBP cos it has both firewire and thunderbolt BUT... people told me digi 002 would only work as a 16 input channels. No way to  use the ADAT inputs from the digi... And to me it s the most important thing : i need the extra 8 inputs and mainly use the digital mixer convertors instead of the digi 002 convertors. So haow about you?  does the adat work properly ?
Another problem : command 8 seems not to be supported either.
so before buying logic pro x , i need to know if it s gonna work normally and completly : spdif, adat and analog input, midi /i/o AND  command 8 integration.
I m not sure it might work either on Avid software  ( a shame !!)
I m ok to work again with logic after my 7 years using only protools IF i dont have to buy another audio interface and another  midi controller...
here is the link for the last driver :

here is a link for the command 8 drive rfor those who are lucky enough to have a protools 10

How is it possible that an "upgrade"  finally results is a downgrade, as my new system cant match with  the old one...
Unitor 8mk2 is perfectly working on 10.8.5 hop eit will work on 10.10 either...

  • Is Logic Pro X compatible with my Apollo Twin?

Is Logic Pro X compatible with Apollo Twin?

The question is: Is Apollo Twin "Core Audio" compatible.
Logic uses OSX's core audio system so if the Apollo has Core Audio drivers that are compatible with the version of OSX you're using then Logic will see the Apollo Twin as an available audio device you use. This is done using Logic's built-in Audio preference selection.

  • Is Logic Pro X compatible with M-Audio Fast Track Pro?

    Hi,
new Logix Pro X looks very interesting - does anyone know if M-Audio Fast Track Pro is compatible with it (couldn't find any topics so far..).
    Thanks for your help!

    Back to basics..
I googled Fast Track Pro compatibility with OS X 10.8.x and found several incompatibility issues and no experiences in version 10.8.4 so far.
So there is a risk that when ugprading Lion to Mountain Lion 10.8.4, Fast Track Pro wouldn't work any longer.
And purchasing LPX for 180e and a new MOTU audio interface for 230e over doubles the initial price of LPX alone..not so attractive deal anymore..
Do you know if there are any good ways to get back to Lion after installing ML if there seems to be problems with Fast Track Pro? I'm using MacBook Pro with preinstalled Lion. I googled too many articles on this and I'm still confused if going back to Lion is possible or not.
    Thanks again!

  • Does Logic Pro X work with the Tascam US-1800 interface?

    Hello,
I am new to Logic Pro (I haven't downloaded the software yet) and I have a Tascam US-1800 that I used with Cubase LE 5 in the past. I have heard that the Tascam US-1800 works with Logic programs and have confirmed that it works with Logic Pro 9; but I am not completely sure if anyone has tried Logic Pro 10 with the Tascam US-1800 yet. Does anybody know if it is compatible? Moreover, has anyone faced any problems when recording with a Tascam US-1800 on Logic Pro 10 yet?

Its not really about if it works with Logic Pro 9 or X
It's more about if it works with the version of OS X you are running or intend to run later....
So if it is currently working under Mavericks 10.9.3 then it should work with LPX or any other Audio program... for that matter.
    Cheers..

  • Is Logic Pro X compatible with M Audio Fast Track Ultra ?

I'm running Logic 8 Pro with M-Audio Fast Track Ultra.
I'd like to upgrade to Logic Pro X.
    Will these components be compatible?

If it has a Mountain Lion compatible driver then it should work. (Its not about LPX compatibility.. its about OS X compatibility that matters in almost every case)
    See here for the drivers...
    http://avid.force.com/pkb/articles/en_US/Download/Fast-Track-Ultra-Drivers
V2.2.2 is 10.8 compatible however there are several threads in their forums that indicate issues with 10.8.3 and higher...
    Here is an example..
    http://community.m-audio.com/m-audio/topics/driver_for_m_audio_fast_track_ultra_ mac_mountain_lion_10_8_3
Given that your interface is no longer a supported item..  and Avid have taken over M-Audio.. it might be that there will be no further updates leaving you unfortunately, with an out of date and no longer supported piece of hardware... which frankly is typical of M-Audio...
As a quick aside... This is why I stick with Motu equipment.. and have done so for many, many years now. Their support both for new and legacy devices is and has always been.. excellent.. and my original Ultralite Mk1 which is at least 7 years old now I believe, is still fully supported in the latest OS X version. using the latest Motu Drivers..
Anyhow.. Check with M-Audio/Avid to find out if this has been resolved......

  • Is Logic Pro X compatible with Macbook Pro OS 10.9.4

I have  MacBook Pro OS 10.9.2, 4 GB of memory, processor 2.5 GHz Intel Core i5. I am currently being asked to update to OS 10.9.4.
I want to download Logic Pro X. Is it compatible with OS 10.9.4 or even OS 10.9.2?
I have a Roland XP80 synth which I want to connect to my computer to use with the Logic program. Where do I find the compatible driver. I am attempting to use MidiSport USB MIDI Interface (M-Audio 1 x 1) and I keep getting the message that there is no compatible driver at this time?
Any help would be very much appreciated.
    Frustrated Musician,  Bruce

I have been using it on OS X 10..4, the 10.9.5 Preview for Developers and OS X Yosemite. Seems to be working fine.
I do not have the MidiSport interface, but have you looked at downloading the driver from the M-Audio site? The 10.8.4 driver might work with OS X 10.9.

  • Does Logic Pro X work with M-Audio ProjectMix?

Has anybody tested the M-Audio ProjectMix with LPX? I know that it could work with mountain lion, even without new drivers. But does it Work with Logic Pro X?

I originally just upgraded from LION and the drivers loaded fine... once I started to use LPX, I realized I had way too many plugins and other apps on my Mac that I had acumulated over the years and I wanted to have a simpler, cleaner set-up, so I actually reformated my hard drive and re-installed everything from fresh. I haven't run into any bugs so far... make sure you have 10.8.4 running and the latest M-Audio Firewire Drivers and you should be OK.
I also use a few other DAWs that I purchaesd while Logic was languishing but I took them all off (other then StudioOne which I use if I need a 32bit environment) so I can be dedicated to just LPX.
I figured out the input monitoring issue, there's a new button in the preferences that selects just monitoring on focused tracks... turn that off if you are recording multiple instruments.
Lastly, if you do have some old 32bit plugins, and you have them in VST format (not AU), you can use a combination of JBridgeM and DDMF Metaplugin to run 32bit VSTs in LPX... it works very well. I have a Focusrite LiquidMix 32 unit that I thought I would have to let go but it works fine using this bridging set-up.

  • Is logic pro 9 compatible with yosemite?

I use Logic Pro 9 for recording my music.  I'm entertaining upgrading the os on my macbook pro to yosemite.  are there any compatibility issues?

Marc, well.... read a few of the comments in this Forum... If you're smart and care about your ability to record the general advice is to wait and let others take the bait. OR, backup everything and take a chance, just be sure you can go back to your previous working setup.
I haven't read the Yosemite compatibility docs yet, it is compatible with Logic-9?

  • Is logic pro x compatible with mac os x 10.6.8 ?

    is there anyone knowing that?

No.. the minimum requirement for Logic Pro X is Mountain Lion 10.8.4 or greater...

  • Does Logic Pro X come with French Horns, Choir etc...

Are all the orchestral instruments included or do you have to dowload them seperately? Thanks!

There are many orchestral sounds available within Logic.
That being said, many people will purchase sample-sets with a wider array of sounds, some of which may be more realistic, or otherwise more authentic.
Check out some of these products available from the Vienna Symphony Orchestra.
