Yes but there is a problem with upgrade installs using the dongle, if you're in that situation I'd search for the threads about it.

How to determine your nVidia driver version
Right click in any open area of the Windows desktop
Select NVIDIA Control Panel from the popup window
Select SYSTEM INFORMATION at the lower left corner
Driver version should be the 1st line in Details
    I have a GTX285 using driver 296.10 and Win7
What is your driver version number?

  • Can Logic Pro work with soundfont (sf2) files?

Just curious. I have Garageband and the DLS Music Player has no way to change banks or presets for downloaded sf2 files except by sending a "program change" event from a midi controller. Can logic pro do that? I.e., if I load an sf2 file, can it use different banks and presets within that sf2 file, or is it limited to only the very first of each like Garageband?

Oh, I see, you don't have Logic yet - well, what I meant was that, once you've got your sf2 files into the EXS, just have a track for each different sound (open up an EXS24 on each track). If you need to use a lot of tracks, you can use Logic's 'Bounce in Place' feature, which instantly creates an audio file for you from the software instrument region you've created for any particular sound, so you don't need to think about banks of presets or program changes etc..
Logic comes with a vast array of software instruments and presets for them, along with a huge number of loops, if that's your thing - you may well find that good quality sounds that you want are already there and you won't need to use soundfont files anyway. If you've been using Garageband and want to take your work further, Logic is probably the next, well, logical step.

  • Does Logic Express work with M-Audio Fast Track USB

Hi all, just wondering if logic express 8 works with the m-audio Fast Track USB - http://www.m-audio.com/products/en_us/FastTrackUSB.html ?

This should probably go in the Logic Express 8 forum. Regardless, I see no reason why it wouldn't be perfectly functional using LE8. Is there a reason why you are opting for a USB device? Does your Mac not have a firewire port?

  • Does logic pro work on Toshiba laptops?

    I have a Toshiba lapto, i 3 processor and 6 GB. Will logic pro 8, 9, or 10 work?

Logic Pro X only works on Apple/Mac OS X computers... not  Windows based computers.

  • Why does Logic NOT work with your own OS?

ok, so far I have not been able to connect to my NAS box but now I can't run Logic Pro 9? It's Apples own *@%%!! application? What, so the team responsible for testing that bit were on holiday were they?

It's not our our own OS. You're not talking to Apple here.

  • Can logic pro work with mac 10.6.8

how can i instal logic pro to this sytem because its not lettingme and i need it so bad.

Logic Pro X only runs on 10.8 and above, so you just need to update your OS.  There might be some macs that won't let you update the OS that far - then you will have to update your computer, which you will be happy to do judging by the level of need for the product (so bad).

  • Does macbook pro work with Seagate G protection 500g 7200rpm??

I bought Mac Book 13" 2.53Ghz Model few days ago.
    I try to upgrade my 250G HDD to Seagate G-protection 500g 7200rpm
Just now, I asked clerk by ichat , and she said Mac Book Pro 13" Model doesn't make that writing speed. But I read some review of upgrading HDD with 7200rpm on MacBook Pro 13" and that works well.
So I don't know which one is correct?
Also Still now is there a problem with Seagate G-protection 500g 7200rpm like click, beep, freeze??

The speed of the disk is completely irrelevant, Moonseok.
You can use a 10,000rpm SATA drive if you like.
Your most likely problem is that you have not booted from your OS DVD (put the MacBook pro Disk 1 in the drive and hold down the "C" key while turning the computer on) and then used Disk Utility (from the installation discs 'Utilities" menu) to partition and format the new drive for use with a Mac.
You need to use a GUID partition scheme (under "Options" in the "partition" tab when using Disk Utility) and "HFS+ (journaled)" for the File System.
Most "bare" drives come partitioned and formatted just for PC use using FAT 32 or NTFS format , so you need to change this before you try to install the Mac OS X when fitting them in a Mac if you want to be able to "boot" from the drive.

  • Does Logic Pro 9 work with Mountain Lion?

    Hey!
    I was wondering...
My computer has Snow Leopard installed and i would really like to get Mountain Lion. BUT there is a problem... I don't know if Logic Pro 9 will with Mountain Lion. Can anybody help me with it? And also does Logic Pro 8 and the microsoft pack (word, powerpoint, excel etc. 2011) work too? Please help me if you know it
    THANK YOU
    Cheers

Since I'm not in the middle of anything critical and have multiple backups, I decided to take the plunge and upgrade. I've only been running for an hour or so, but here's where I am:
2008 MacPro, 8x2.8Ghz, 16Gb RAM. SSL MADI PCIe card for I/O. Logic 9.1.7
Tested with a couple of recent, decent size projects (40+ tracks, VIs and plugins). Not seeing any perormance differences.
    Working:
    - Euphonix MC Mix
    - UAD2 Duo
    - Spectrasonics Omnisphere
    - NI Komplete 8
    - Waves 9
    - Soundtoys 4
    - Wallander Instruments
    - EW Play
    - Melodyne
    NOT Working:
    - Access Virus TI. Plugin opens but cannot connect to Virus. I am running the latest stable v4 release - I will try installing the v5 public Beta and report back. This is a deal breaker so if I cannot get it working I will roll back to Lion
    - SSL Duende Native. Authorization is failing. Possibly a CodeMeter issue or just authorizations lost during upgrade - will look at this next.
Make sure you are running the latest iLok driver - there was one released a few days ago.
    More as it develops.

  • Does Logic Pro X work with the Tascam US-1800 interface?

    Hello,
I am new to Logic Pro (I haven't downloaded the software yet) and I have a Tascam US-1800 that I used with Cubase LE 5 in the past. I have heard that the Tascam US-1800 works with Logic programs and have confirmed that it works with Logic Pro 9; but I am not completely sure if anyone has tried Logic Pro 10 with the Tascam US-1800 yet. Does anybody know if it is compatible? Moreover, has anyone faced any problems when recording with a Tascam US-1800 on Logic Pro 10 yet?

Its not really about if it works with Logic Pro 9 or X
It's more about if it works with the version of OS X you are running or intend to run later....
So if it is currently working under Mavericks 10.9.3 then it should work with LPX or any other Audio program... for that matter.
    Cheers..

  • Does logic pro 8 work mountain lion?

I've updated my Mac Xeon with Mountain Lion and now my Logic Pro 8 is giving me a midi conflict error. How can I fix this or does Logic Pro 8 even work Mountain LIon? Can anyone help me?

I know.. I have both read and taken part in that thread but again....
The majority of peopole who run Logic 9.1.8 and Lion or now Mountain Lion do not have those issues... and because they do not, they don't post in such threads.. so you get a distorted view of the true numbers of people with problems.
Those that do have issues, will naturally post up in such threads... but that doesn't mean they are the majority of users... They are just the 'loudest' and quite rightly so.
I will also say that for me personally, 10.6.8 and Logic 9.1.5/9.1.6 was and still is the most stable platform for Logic of all of the various combinations available... but apart from an annoying issue with the "airplay' dialog box that keeps popping up in 9.1.8 with ML... and the GUI lag affecting a few plugins.. I don't have any major issues with Logic and ML... so I can happily live and work with that setup...
Finally, it's also worth noting that with my own client base.. initially with Lion and then Mountain Lion the number of clients who had problems was much higher.. Probably closer to 20-25% had issues..  but most of those issues were resolved by updates to incompatible drivers/3rd party plugins and so on...
Once those kind of issues were resolved... as I said earlier, the number of my clients who still have major issues running uner Lion or ML with Logic Pro 9 has dropped to less than 5%... and to me, that respresents a minority of all users... like it or not.
