  • Does MacBook Air 6,2 come with OS X Mavericks?

I bought a MacBook Air a few days ago. Yesterday I was browsing through the App Store, and I saw "OS X Mavericks"...so I installed it thinking its an improvement on the system or something of that sort. However, after I'm done installing, I realized that basically nothing changed...so I thought that maybe MacBook Air 6,2 comes with it and I just installed it again...
Does anyone know whether MacBook Air 6,2 comes with OS X Mavericks?
And should I somehow uninstall it since it takes a lot of storage?

So I basically installed OS X Mavericks again when it is already installed?
How can I uninstall the OS X Mavericks I installed afterwards without uninstalling the OS X Mavericks that came with the MacBook then?
When you installed it again the original copy was replaced, you still only have 1 copy. There is nothing to remove.

Don't switch email providers. Switch to another email client on your Mac. It is not Yahoo. I have 3 Yahoo accounts and never have any problems getting or sending mail from/to those accounts. But I don't use the built in Mac Mail program. I use Thunderbird. I use thunderbird on both Mac OS X and Windows. Been using it for some time now with no problems getting my Yahoo mail, Google gmail mail or form my work email account.

  • MacBook Air and Pro buzz when connected to French Power

My MacBook Air and Pro laptops buzz in a pronounced way when plugged into French power sources (Martinique, Paris, Aix-en-Provence).  They are American computers, and I use the adapters from the Apple World Traveler kit.  Sometimes I use a regular wall adapter when I want to use the extension cord, as World Traveler doesn't allow this.  The computers work fine, but I'm in French territory a lot and I worry that the buzz, which only happens when the computers are plugged in, is doing some long-term damage.  I feel the buzz the most when touching the computers very lighly.  Thanks~

Sounds like your adapter is not earthing properly? Change it ASAP.
Might be worth picking up a pukka French power supply if you are over here a lot too.

And yes, you can run windows on that machine without any problems, but it will be much better to upgrade memory to 1 or 2 gigs for much better performance.

Does anyone know the Processor Speed and Built-in Memory Size of iPad Air and iPad Mini with Retina Display?

I tested them side-by-side in Apple Store today and after the same 10 apps loaded, I didn't feel significant speed gain from iPad Air and iPad Mini with Retina Display from my New iPad.
I wonder what Processing Speed and Built-in Memory do the iPad Air and the iPad Mini with Retina Display have.
Can someone who has upgraded give any feedback?

    Thanks Diavonex.

  • Just got a Macbook Air and how come it's a early 2014 model?

I purchused a few days ago a Macbook Air, and it says it is an early 2014 model. I've looked on the website under tech specs I believe and there's a Macbook Air early 2015 (NOT the new Macbook that comes in three colors) So, how can that be? Thanks!!

The new MacBook Air was announced on March 9th and it may have been a few days later before it was available in retailer's stores. If you bought the old model at an Apple Store note that the Apple Stores have a 14 day return policy. You could return it and buy the newer model if you want. If you bought it elsewhere you will need to check their return policy.

  • Does the mac book pro come with microsoft word?

i was wondering if the macbook pro comes with microsoft word already built into it or if it has to be downloaded or bought

Not out of the box, you have to pay for it to get it regardless. The only way it would come with Office
pre-installaed is to have it custom ordered through Apple or another seller that offers pre-installation services.

  • Difference in Resolution/Retina between Macbook Air and PRO

Macbook air doesn't have retina and pro does so I was wondering if you have both, do you see a big difference in the resolution?

As you see below, the non-Retina 13" AIR is 82% of the Macbook with Retina display in resolution
there is no magical number of pixels per inch that automatically equates to Retina quality.

Ive had both, yes you certainly notice a difference.
Go to an Apple store and take a peek at both

  • Help! I am trying to decide between the Macbook Air and Pro.

If I got an air I would get the largest screen/processor combo but with the Pro as the price is a bit more I would go with the smaller. Which would you recommend?

You should also ask this in the MacBook Pro and MacBook Air forums. This is the forum for the white and black plastic MacBooks that were discontinued in 2010. You should also post this question there to increase your chances of getting an answer.
