    All new MacBooks Air come with OS X Mountain Lion, as it's the only supported version in Mid 2013 MacBooks Air. Mid 2012 MacBooks Air come with Lion or Mountain Lion, depending on when they were manufactured.

    The Mid 2013 MacBook Air uses a special OS X Mountain Lion version which is different than the version available at the Mac App Store. That's the reason why you see the price at the Mac App Store, but you already have Mountain Lion. If you try to purchase Mountain Lion, the App Store will tell you that it's not compatible with your MacBook Air.     According to Apple, your new MBA should include iLife: iPhoto, iMovie, and GarageBand. The user guide says they should be on the system.  Systems that come with Lion no longer include OS X DVD's.

    They may have iLife pre-installed, but not iWork. In any event you are able to get both for free when you buy a new computer. I don't know if this extends to refurbs. Nevertheless, you should be able to get iWork as a new Mavericks user. If you've already gotten them for your other computers, then the re-downloads are free.

    You can try, but probably not. Note that, since no new model of MacBook Air has come out since the release of Yosemite, even if it ships with Yosemite, it should be capable of running Mavericks. Mavericks is no longer available in the App Store, but you can contact the App Store support http://www.apple.com/support/mac/app-store/contact/ and ask for a download code. If you've previously downloaded it on another Mac, it should be in the purchases section in the App Store.

    Unfortunately, I had already tried this online recovery (it also works if you boot holding the option) but the utility program didn't offer me the possibility to repair (when I selected the disk, this option wasn't available. In fact, I couldn't choose any option at all for my disk).
    I had just done the last system update proposed by Apple today. I never had any problem with a mac before and I am really in trouble in my work because of that. How can I try to save the most important files I was working on ? I am in Brazil so there is no Apple store available near my house.
    I also have external hard disk, an imac and a macbook but I don't know if I can use any of them for that...

    Just a note of interest.  If you want to download an office suite for $0.00, try downloadingOpen Office or Libre Office.  They both work well and can be used in place of MS Word, etc.  Both contain a word processer, a spreadsheet, a presentation program and a database program.  I use Libre Office (lireoffice.com) and love it.  It recognizes MS Word documents and can open them and save files as MS Word documents.  Likewise for the xcel documents and Presentatio documents.

    All new MacBook Pros from official Apple retail outlets, resellers and the online store have Leopard. If the model is sold new and Leopard is not pre-installed drop-in/upgrade Leopard disks are included.
    Second hand or non-Apple refurbished models etc.. may not have it installed.

    I have some cleaning solution called iKlear Apple Polish.  I use it on all of my electronics screens.  It came with a big microfiber cloth, and I just spray a bit of solution on the cloth, and wipe it down.  Is it ok to use the solution on the cloth when wiping down the screen?  Is the screen made of anything that could be damaged by the solution?  Also, how easy to scratch is the screen?  My MBA 2012 came with a little tiny scratch on the screen that is not visible when it is turned on.  I would hate to add any new scratches to it when cleaning it or whatever.

I've got my eyes on the latest MacBook pro, is it captable? The bigger issue is the price.. One thousand dollars is already a ton of money but amazingly I'm willing To spend just that but two thousand dollars is out of the question.. I need a MacBook of any sort that will play the sims 2 at least and a decent screen resolution.. I'm probably better off with a windows vista. Prove me wrong!

    I have several other Macromedia applications - but not Air. But if the other applications are an indication, boot is going to be slow (around a minute); Air's dependence on Flash will guarantee relatively slow performance. As you know, most other applications boot in seconds.
    Your best solution would be to download the free part of the programs to determine if you find the performance acceptable.

    The iMac is completely shrouded all around with this plastic shrink wrapped or static cling plastic sheeting.
    You need to remove all of it from all around your iMac.
