Does Mail (for Lion) have a return receipt function?

i was wondering whether Mail (for Lion) have a return receipt function. I've seen many negative answers, but they're all from 2007 and earlier. How can I configure for some of my messages to have return receipts?

Yeah, I do have the home and student Office version, but the trial version for outlook included in the package does not include this feature. Is is available only with the "real"version?
I'm not sure there is a forum for Office for Mac Product Forums, I'd recommend posting there is no one here is able to help.

If you download Lion from the App Store you can install it on as many computers that you personally own. It can be re-downloaded from every computer running Snow Leopard and logged into the App Store with the same Apple ID used to purchase Lion.

  • Does iChat in Lion have video calls with Yahoo messenger??

Does iChat in Lion have video calls with Yahoo messenger?
so far is supports only AIM and Apple ID for video chat but in Lion iChat supports Yahoo messenger, do they have video calling also or only text chat is offered in this version?

    Hi all,
iChat will Video to other iChat users for Jabber (Google, Facebook and others)  and Yahoo Names.
In neither case will it Video to any Web browser access to the service the buddy may be on such as the Google Mail web mail or iGoogle pages access to the chat option.
Nor will it video to any Standalone app (There is one for PC for GoogleTalk) and obviously the Yahoo app on both PCs and Macs.
iChat has not done this since Jabber was added at iChat 3  (OS 10.4/Tiger) some while ago.
The AIM for Mac app has never been able to do Video.
Video chatting to the AIM app for PCs can be fraught but is supposed to work.
It also tends to work to the  Trillian App with the Pro Add-on (which Costs)
The Yahoo for Mac 3 Beta has been in beta for years.  It could be argued that it has never been "Supported"
iChat 6 's behaviour may not be what you want but it is entirely consistent with iChat 3 through 5 with the Jabber options.

  • DOES THE IPHONE 6 HAVE AN AUTO ANSWER FUNCTION

I just bought a portable speaker for my iPhone for use in my shop.  It is not blue tooth and the phone must be connected to the speaker through the earphone jack.  The speaker has an answer function that interrupts the music for an incoming call and a microphone to facilitate hands free usage.  The big catch seems to be that I still must push the answer button on my iPhone screen to answer the call.  I hope I am missing something.  Does the iPhone 6 have an auto answer function?

This seems incredible. How could Apple pass up such a basic function.  I don't have a car new enough to integrate with my phone so I just assumed that auto-answer was a common feature in all smart phones.  I seem to remember disabling this feature in an LG android phone several years ago.  What am I missing?

  • Mac Mail - Return Receipt function

How do I mark an email message 'Return Receipt' so that I know the recipient received my email?

On the right hand side of the discussions pages there are several panels, with, for example, a list of the top users, or a count of your unresolved questions (as this is your first post, I don't know if that will show as zero or simply not appear). Above that is a Welcome panel, with half-a-dozen links (to your settings, etc) below a Welcome, fatbutdeadly. Above this is the search discussions panel, where you can enter text and the search will be in the current forum.

  • I have an AT&T Email Account that doesn't work with Mail for Lion

I've had this email account with AT&T for a few years and it has worked with Mac Mail with no difficulty for a few years. Recently the account has been able to receive messages. Every time I hit Get Mail it asks for a password. I have installed all the latest updates through Software Update. I have a Mac Mini with OS Lion. After struggling for awhile, my inbox eventually comes in. I have reset all the incoming and outgoing POP Server accounts, as well as used the Webmail version through Yahoo.com and it all works fine. What is going on and how can I continue to use this program.

Go to the AT&T support site and verify that you have setup Mail with the correct confuguration, i.e., ports, server names, etc. Otherwise, you haven't provided enough details to be of much assistance.
Rcommend that you get a .me account and start using IMAP email in lieu of POP3. You can then configure your existing AT&T account to forward all email to your .me account.

  • HT202879 does numbers for mac have a mail merge feature

Will numbers for mac offer a mail merge feature?

    Nicole Lynn,
Version 2 of Numbers (iWork '09) does have Mail Merge. If your profile is correct, that's probably what you are using. The instructions for using the feature are in the Pages User Guide PDF.
If your profile is out of date and you are using iWork '13 apps, you're out of luck. But, you can always go back to Version 2 of Numbers and Version 4 of Pages.

  • ICal icon on my Mac Book Air displays a circled number at the upper right corner as does Mail for new emails - how do I find out what item(s) that number is referring to? And why does it show up on the Mac Book Air and not my 4S iPhone?

A circled number appears in the upper right corner of the iCal icon on my Mac Book Air. What does it mean? How do I resolve it? Why doesn't it appear on my 4S iPhone via the iCloud?

    Glenn,
That number means that you have an event invitation. Use iCal>View>Show Notifications to choose what to do with the notification. Since OS X 10.7.2 is required for iCloud integration, I am not surprised that there are anomalies between the iPhone and the MacBook Pro.

  • What does IE for Mac have that Safari doesn't?

    Hi, folks.
The administrative website of my company doesn't work in Safari. That's a fact.
I've always accepted the idea that it would not work in Safari because it uses windows-only technology. BUT, the fact is that it works in Internet Explorer for Mac.
Since IE for Mac stopped in version 5, the sites gets very ugly (trucated text, out-of-size windows, giant bars), ugly but still functional.
So, if it works in IE for Mac, it seems for me that the site doesn't require Windows, but something found in IE that Safari doesn't have.
Does anyone know what this could be?
    Thanks in advance.
    JP

Without a URL to the pages we're all guessing.
Web pages are not designed for OS's and those that work for Windows should also work on Macs.
But many functions of Web design is optimized for specific browsers and, since IE for PC's is still about 75%, it seems it gets the most attention.
Since most Windows browsers do not play by the "rules" set forth in Web standards those old, poorly coded, pages do not render as designed when viewed in a browser that does follow industry standards.
Update your page code and it will work in any browser.

  • Does Safari for PC have full screen view option?

I am new to Mac (better late than never and am trying Safari on my old PC. Have not yet found a full screen view function in Safari. Explorer toggles from regular screen to full using F11 (and the top slides into view with the pointer, like the Dock on a Mac). Cheers,
    Tom, Berkeley, CA

Hi! The little icons in the upper right hand corner (minus-square-x) are the screen resizer buttons. Click on the square and it goes to full screen, click on it again and it's back to its smaller size, the minus puts it to the bottom of the screen and the x quits the app. All is just like windows users are used to. Position the window to the upper left and then drag the little triangle in the lower right corner allows you to set the screen size to how you want it to be each time you start the app. Tom

  • Does iMovie for iOS have support for 60fps video?

I Have an iPhone 6 and love the new 60fps video Capability. But when I merged several into one video using iMovie, it reduced the fps to 30. WHY? Apple, if you're reading this, please update iMovie to support 60fps videos. Why put an awesome product out without backing it up with existing products?

Sorry to say that I, too, am having trouble with my camera and iMovie. I have an Olympus Stylus-9000, and it doesn't pick up when I try to import to iMovie. I checked the list of iMovie-supported cameras online, and not one Olympus model was there. I guess we're just unlucky...

  • Does the 10.5 have a screen dump function?

    Hi all.
A Mac 10.5, does it have a screen dump/print mode activated by a keyboard short cut?
If so, what is the key combination?
If not, is there a program out there (preferably a freebie) that serves this function.
I do have such a program for my Windows machine (not a freebie) called "Snagit" but my program does not work on a Mac.

    give SnapX Pro a try.
Oh, I've been a licensed SnapzProX user since well back into the OS 9 days.
I was just explaining to nerowolfe why such utilities are even necessary.
The screencapture terminal solution is nice to know about. It might help the original poster. There are some features in there I didn't know about (though they don't seem to be available in the horrible OS X Grab utility). Older versions of the built in OS X screen capture had trouble capturing the cursor of certain apps, while SnapzProX could do it. But the OS X feature seems to work now, at least from the Terminal.
However, I will never use it. I prefer to use something with a GUI on it, since a big reason I started using the Mac was to get away from the MS-DOS command line, since the Mac was "the computer for the rest of us." SnapzProX is the most efficient current solution for my needs. Even then, SnapzProX's own aging interface is under attack from an innovative new range of Mac screen recording utilities that will hopefully force SnapzProX to undergo a badly needed modernization. This is probably a level of screen capture that's well beyond what the original poster needs.
There are quite a few freeware/shareware screen capture apps on the Mac, like SnapNDrag, but the reason lots of Mac users (not just me) make a conscious and researched decision to buy utilities like SnapzProX is that the free utilities +do no more than+ add a GUI to screencapture, while the more advanced utilities add a layer or two of productivity-friendly functionality that make their fees worth it because of the time and trouble they save.
All depends on what you need.
