I'm going uni 20 september and discount offer states to order before 9 sept to get the discount. I'm on holiday until 16th sept. I'm getting the Air with upgraded 8 gig ram. Are my parents able to buy it on my behalf ( they have the official uni letter)? Or when im at uni on the network, can i order from there with the discount still?

As Joey R said, it's used on an honor system to get the computer at a discounted rate.
You do not need to send in any rebate forms to get the EDU discount. The Touch rebate you're referring to was a promotion that made it free (or greatly reduced) after rebate (much like they run with printers). You pay full price upfront and get a rebate form.
But as you noted, EDU discounts aren't rebates, they're discounts. Taken off at the point of purchase.
Just w/o the purchase of a MB, the Touch does not have an EDU discount. You happened to purchase the two when they were running that promotion. The EDU discount is for educational items only, and they deem that ipods are NOT education items (however the case could be made that they could be considered as such).

Report for sales orders with abnormal discounts

We have a discount condition type say ZDIS with 10% which is not changeable manually in sales order..But incase if the user has changed the condition master to 12% and created the sales order with 12%disc...Hence i need a report, the list of sales orders with the abnormal discounts..(the sales orders with the discount value more or less than 10%)..
How do i get this report..Kindly provide me the table names&logic ...

Select KNUMH where KONP-KSCHL EQ ZDIS ( Condition record number)
Select KONV-KNUMV Where KONV-KNUMH EQ KONP-KNUMH
Select VBAK-KNUMV where VBAK-KNUMV EQ KONV-KNUMV
Then with the help of ABAPER hard code the condition amount (KBERT>10%)

IPhone 3G purchases with IRU discount at AT&T Retail only (KB article)

Having stood in one of the long lines on Friday for the iPhone 3G at an Apple Retail Store, this KB document which was just posted yesterday could have saved us lots of time on launch day.

Most of us had to walk in the store, find out that we couldn't purchase an iPhone 3G because of an IRU discount on our accounts, call AT&T multiple times (each call wait time around 10-15 minutes) to find someone who would take the IRU discount off our accounts, purchase the iPhone 3G, activate it later in the afternoon (because of the iTunes meltdown), call AT&T back to put the IRU discount back onto our accounts.
I was around the 40th in line at the Glendale Galleria store in CA and multiple waiters in line in front of me had to do the exact same thing, causing us these unnecessary long wait times.
If this KB article was posted before launch day, we could have called AT&T ahead of time and made sure our accounts were IRU discount free on Friday.
Of course, this is all after the fact. Sorry if this sounds like a rant. I think I can speak for everyone who waited in line with IRU discounts.

I wonder if this represents a policy change? I was told by AT&T before buying my iPhone 3G (which I did on launch day) that I needed to go to an AT&T Store to have the discount applied, or I could apply it later online. So, I bought my iPhone at an Apple Store, then activated the discount online the next day. On 7/25, I exchanged my iPhone for a new one, after I had the discount on the plan. The Apple employee simply called AT&T and had the discount removed (took about 2 minutes, with a quick verbal confirmation from me), and then activated my replacement phone. I then re-applied the discount online.

Discount Condition with effect at the time of GR but not at the time of PO

Dear All
My customer requires a discount condition in a particular pricing procedure. He want the discount condition in such a way that it should be shown in PO conditions but it should not affect the net price while making purchase order. Rather it should be deducted at the time of GR.
For example: i am making a PO for a material with net price 305Rs and discount given by the vendor is 5Rs per unit. In the PO discount condition should appear with 5Rs per KG/Litre/etc. But the PO net price should remain 305 instead of 300.
Now when i am making a Goods Receipt at that time the discount should be calculated on the net price 305 and material should be loaded with price 300.
Kindly help me to resolve the issue by suggesting some feasible options.

i want a discount condition type (Quantity wise i.e. 5 Rs/Liter) which will not affect the PO net price i.e. net rpice remains same irrespective of the discount condition value. Discount should be applicable at the time of GR i.e in material should be loaded with price after discount.
For Ex: if the discount entered in PO is 5 Rs/Liter
PO Amount: Quantity (100) * Net price (105) = 10500 (should not include the discount at the time of PO)
GR amount: Quantity (100) * Net price (105-5=100) = 10000 (should include the discount at the time of GR)

I've just finished my A levels and will almost certainly be starting university in october. The question is, do I have to wait till then if I want to get myself a student discount?

Student discounts are only available for college and university students. Proof of enrollment is required when you place your order. So, yes, you will have to wait until you have officially enrolled in a university or college.

SO with 100% Discount

I work with FICO. recently I got a requirement from a client: SO with 100% discount.
Via SD account determination I got the billing doc to be posted on Revenue Account and Discount Account. However the client wants to see a posting on Customer Account.
I am thinking about to create 2 billing docs for one delivery:
1. Customer invoice: customer acct to revenue acct
2. Customer credit memo: discount acct to customer acct.
is this possible? is there a user exit I could use? Will the second billing doc "credit memo" clear the first customer invoice?

I would not recommend you to follow those steps as it is not the right practise. But I would suggest you below steps to achive.
If you want to post SO with 100% Discount,then please follow the below steps
Lets assume you have a Price (Revenue) condition type in your Pricing Procedure and You want to have one more Condtion type for Discount 100% (Sales Deduction). Ensure to maintain discount condition type step (Calcucation step) as of Price and Maintain 100% condition Record for Disocunt as well.
While Processing SO System would show Price and Discount with same value and while posting invoice to accounting system will post revenue and discount to separate G/L Accounts. By this way you could be able achive the solution.
But Kindly test this scenario in Sandbox or Dev!

Problem with ZZD2 (Discount Val) in PO

i have a problem, i want to discount my PO with ZZD2(Discount Val)
Gross Price 120
Discount Val 20
Net Price 120
NB : Nett Price should be 100.
but Nett Price show 120 instead. it's like Discount Val doesn't give an effect for Nett Price. if i use ZZD1(Discount %)
Gross Price 120
Discount % 10%
Nett Price should be 108.
the net price show the correct calculation. did any configuration for ZZD2 so i can use this?

Combining Mover's Discount Coupon and Student Discount Coupon on Macbook Pro with Retina Display

To whom it may concern,
I've recently saved up enough to buy a Macbook Pro with Retina Display 13.3" with 8GB Memory ($1235) and I read on a few forums that you could combine the Mover's Coupon and College Student Coupon on the Macbook. However, with that discount, many customers had trouble because the sales associate/manager said it wasn't applicable to apply the Mover's Coupon and neither was it applicable to combine both coupons.
As a result, I called my local Best Buy in Brooklyn, NY (Bay Parkway, Store #599) in advance to double check if it was possible so that I wouldn't be wasting my time trying to argue with the store manager, etc. The sales associate said generally, I couldn't combine two coupons regardless of what type they were.
I was wondering if combining the Mover's Coupon and College Student Coupon still applied to the Macbook Pro.
If it did, would it be possible for someone to directly contact my local Best Buy store manager or sales associate that would be ringing me up and explain how to do it and that it is possible to combine the two coupons. I also have a $100 Best Buy gift card that I intend to use with my purchase so I was wondering if that was applicable on top of the Best Buy coupons.

Refurb 17" or new with edu discount?

I've read all about the uneven backlight and such of the 17" MBP. I really need to get a new computer soon. I am looking at the MBP because I want mobile for school and I do not want to sacrifice screen space for portability. I can deal with the extra weight. My question is should I deal with getting a refurb and save roughly $200 or just pay the $2500 with edu discount?? People ordering new 17" are the screens any better now? School starts in 3 weeks for me, so I need to know pretty soon. Thank you!

No pain whatsoever, just a small extra peception of clarity. I really like it but opinions swing both ways and I never wanted to try one when I saw them in the store - I never thought they looked that great, but then I got one as a loaner from a friend and got hooked.
Anyway, I'm sure you'll be fine with either - it's really very good indeed.
Oh - FYI, I switched from a 7200 rpm drive to a 5400 160gb. I like the extra space and cool palmrest and can't say I've noticed any lag.

I just read somewhere that if you buy a MacBook Pro (or any other Mac) from the online Apple Store with a student discount that it is a refurbished one you get. This because it's with student discount.

Credit blocked PO,has to Deliver further with one discount active

Hi Gurus
When Sales doc credit limit exceeds it has to Block that Document, But the Requirement is to carry forward, it has to process Delivery but with only one Best Discount is active remaining Discounts must be Inactive among the 5 Discounts offered to that customer. Please help me..

For the credit management requirement you can create a requirement routine (credit checks) .
T Code VOFM--> Requirements->credit checks.
Tell us a bit more about the discount part. As of now in the sales order how many discounts are active.

No receiver could be determined while doing SAP ECC Integraion with MDM 7

Can you please help me to resolve the following issue.
We are doing SAP ECC Integration with MDM 7.1 by using MDM PI Adapter.
Source side we are processing MATMAS.MATMAS05 IDoc and Receiver side we are using MDM PI Adapter to Connect the MDM System.
I have checked the Configuration by using Test Configuration Wizard, it showing every thing fine there.
Is it because of any network connection issue at the Target system (MDM) side?

Hi,
From error looks like it is not failing at receiver determination step. if you all configurations are fine, then this could be because of system cache refresh.
Go to Edit mode in your scenario and again save it and activate it. Do a cache refresh and check if it works.
