Does multicam end up saving any space in the end?

i have a project that was shot with 2 cameras. cam1 was left alone and the footage is basically continuous. cam2 moved around a bit and during some of the moves the recording was paused so there are timecode gaps.
on my first pass i put cam1 in v1 and cam2 in v2. cam2 (v2) has most of the footage that i want so during moves or absent coverage i fade out v2 to show v1 and fade back in (using opacity) to show v2.
perhaps it is a stupid question but... if i ran the same sequence using multi cam and collapsed it before export would i end up with a smaller file?
if yes and multicam is the way to go i then have this to ask. seeing that cam1 is continuous and cam2 is not would i have to cut up cam1 so i can match it to cam2's in points?

ok so that makes sense. i may not have a timecode gap but i still have the linear time gap issues. i re-exported the movie and i'm no longer having the problem i originally had to prompt this post in the first place. so now i have a ~49 minute avi at ~8G. would i have had a smaller file if i had created the same movie using the multicam editing? not that i think that multicam editing is magic but does collapsing the multicam cut out the extraneous video?
i guess i am confused and don't really know if i had v2's opacity set to 0 for a certain segment, on export would v2's video information be exported along with v1? to that matter is v1's video information getting exported when v2's opacity is at 100 and i don't see v1? does it only export what the canvas is showing and not everything that is on the timeline.

You will need to sign into your account using the iTunes app on your Mac or PC and change the region/country for your account. If you do not have a bank card for the new country, you should be able to make purchases with iTunes Gift Cards if they are available in the new country.

You can check the actual capcity by opening the "System Information" application in the folder "/Applications/Utilities".
Then you can select the information section "Hardware > Power" to see the information regarding the battery:
The important information is highlighted in the image above. The ratio of Charge Remaining (when fully charged) to Full Charge Capacity is a good metric of how "healthy" the battery is. The Number if cycles is another indicator. The higher the number of cycles the lower I would expect the ratio of Charge Remaining (when fully charged) to Full Charge Capacity.

Wow. I have not seen that question nor a discussion. I agree with James. I don't think it will, and if the power drain is different, maybe it'll be less and not more.
With a 10 hour battery, you have plenty of time to test it and see. If the battery depletes fast, just go back to the other way.

Why does my computer not upload any updates, crash the internet all the time and give me the grey screen telling me to restart my computer more than it should?

I can't do anything without fear that it will ask for me to restart or simply crash. I dont know what's wrong. Update load then say there is an error right before finishing, but it does this with most things. Does java.ext.dirs have any influence on the heap XMX setting?

I've been using a XMX setting of 3800M for a particular JVM running a particular task.
However, if I pass the -Djava.ext.dirs option, and point it to some directories, the JVM fails for the same task I've been running in my first run.
truss output appears to show the failure occurring during mmap() resulting in ENOMEM.
The question is, under what condition would java.ext.dirs change the behavior of my XMX setting? If it take it out, it runs fine.
Java version: 1.4.1, SunOS Sparc

If it causes things to be loaded that wouldn't otherwise be loaded.
I assume the fairure you're getting is related to memory? you didn't say.

I'm deleting old back ups in time machine but it's not freeing up any space

Time machine cannot back up because it is full and is not deleting old backups.
So I delete back ups myself and it doesn't fire up any space!

The problem is that the backups of the old computer are still on the volume, and Time Machine won't delete them to make room for more backups of the new one.
At the top level of the folder Backups.backupdb, there should be a subfolder with the name of each computer that has ever been backed up to that volume. Delete the one with the name of the old computer by dragging it to the Trash and emptying. I warn you, though, that sometimes the Trash will fail to empty, and then you'll probably have to erase the volume and start over. Do this only if you have at least one other complete backup of all current data (which you should have anyway.)

DATA TRANSFER - How to get a SINGLE SPACE in the downloaded file from UNIX?

Am sending data from SAP to UNIX/ Application server and text file on desk top as well.
So, I am keeping a single character just SPACE at the END of each record.
Then, When I see the downloaded text file, I found a SINGLE SPACE at the end of each record, fine.
Then, by using CG3Y t code, I downloaded the UNIX file to my desk top.
But, When I see this UNIX downloaded file from UNIX, I did NOT find any SPACE at the end of each record!!!
Am doing every thing same in both cases.
So,
1 - Why its happening in case of UNIX file?
2 - How to get a SINGLE SPACE at the END in the downloaded file from UNIX?

perform SET_FIXLEN(saplgrap) using '0' '060'. "put length of your line from-to
... download ...
It will put space at the end of your line, according to the length.

No way to free space in the internal hard disk.

There's no way to free any space in the internal hard disk. If I throw 5 giga of files in the trash and empty it, I don't find 5 more giga of avalaible space in the internal hard disk. Time Machine is not activated. Any idea to solve the problem? Sorry for my english....

Freeing Up Space on The Hard Drive
1. See Lion/Mountain Lion/Mavericks' Storage Display.
2. You can remove data from your Home folder except for the /Home/Library/ folder.
3. Visit The XLab FAQs and read the FAQ on freeing up space on your hard drive.
4. Also see Freeing space on your Mac OS X startup disk.
5. See Where did my Disk Space go?.
6. See The Storage Display.
You must Empty the Trash in order to recover the space they occupied on the hard drive.
You should consider replacing the drive with a larger one. Check out OWC for drives, tutorials, and toolkits.
Try using OmniDiskSweeper 1.8 or GrandPerspective to search your drive for large files and where they are located.

Will photos in Photo Stream take up space in the device?

This is somewhat of an awkward comment but I have been hearing complaints about not being able to delete photos in Photo Stream, and althoguh I am aware photos in Photo Stream are in the Cloud, would they take any space in the device's hard drive? Just to confirm, thanks.

Yes, images in Photo Stream do use device storage. You might wish to consider downloading them on a computer (assuming that is an option) or using a cloud service such as Box or DropBox to back them up. In any event, if these images are important to you, you do need to move them to a permanent storage option.

White Space at the top of Report output in Portal

Hi,
I am running a Report in Portal through WAD template.
in Report output a big white space comes at the top (almost half a page) and below that report result is shown.
I want to remove that space (report result should start from top)
I tried to check all the parameters in WAD but no success.
Could you please show me a way out.

Check whether there is any space above the web items in the template. There shouldn't be any space left as u doesn't need that.
Also check whether you have used any web items and hidden them on top of the web template.
Also try the below one meanwhile which may be helpful...
Insert a table (Not Web item). Follow the below steps...
Go to Menu bar-->Insert->Table->Insert Table. Select the number of rows and columns necessary according to the web items you want to insert into the Web template.
Drag & drop the relevant web items into the tabular grids.
Assign points if this helps u...

Could that read " . . . could not access . . ."? If so, try repairing your backups, per #A5 in Time Machine - Troubleshooting.
If not, or if that doesn't help, see #A1 there. Use the TM Buddy widget it details to copy and post the messages here.

You can go to Settings>Messages and turn off Messages. Then go to Settings>General>Restrictions and turn on the the Restriction that prevent changing accounts.
I just verified that it works.
