  • Will Mozilla co-operate with AVG to ensure their Security Tool Bar works with Firefox 5?

Like some other FF users, I've been getting an 'unresponsive script' mesage on starting FF. After trying various things and eliminating add-on probs, I discovered that it was AVG's Security Tool Bar 7.004.022.004 that was responsible for the 'hang'. Who needs to do the tweaking -- Mozilla or AVG? (I have paid AVG 2011 version)

Running the script by python2 solves it for me:
    su - mythtv -c "nice -n 19 python2 /usr/bin/tv_grab_nl_py --output ~/listings.xml"
    Best regards,
    Cedric

  • Autofill in Google Toolbar does not appear to be working with Firefox 4 - Aways saying Autofill not available for this page even on pages I have used it before FF4 upgrade

Autofill in Google Toolbar does not appear to be working with Firefox 4 - It aways gives the message "Autofill not available for this page". This is happening on pages I have used Autofill on before upgrading to FF4 from Firefox 3.5.x

i did not see a solution posted - I tired what I read. Going back to an old version may solve the problem but it is a stupid solution so I have yet to do that.
I am on version 4 and autofil this does not work :

Uninstall version 5, then Google "google toolbar version 4", follow the link to FileHippo.com, and download and install the last version 4. When you reinstall it, make sure you turn off the option to perform automatic updates.

  • Google is NOT WORKING with Firefox 3.6.8, you can type in & Search but clicking on next is a dead link; does nothing?

Google is NOT working on Firefox 3.6.8, suddenly today. You can type in search and get results on initial page. Clicking on 'next' link or any number links is dead. Yahoo & Bing seem to work. I do not have a Google toolbar. Very frustrating. This suddenly happened today. Please check into it.

Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of your add-ons is causing your problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).
See [[Troubleshooting extensions and themes]] and [[Troubleshooting plugins]]

  • Cannot open gmail page says server error, but other pages from google tool bar work just fine

I cannot access gmail from any opiton, web address, or tool bar. it gives an error of cannot find root? other pages from the tool bar work ie, utube, or g +..............I have checked my cookies and all are accepted. Specific message is: This page isn't redirecting properly Firefox has dected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete. this problem can sometimes be caused by disabling or refusing to accept cookies.

I have alike problem: I can access my account on Google+ or YouTube but when I try access GMail or Calendar I see error message about invalid redirect to https://accounts.google.com/CookieMismatch ("server redirects to this address in such way that request will never complete") with comment that this error usually occures when cookies are disabled. But I see that cookies are enabled in FireFox Setup. What's wrong?

  • Google MapsGL not working with Firefox 10.0.2

I tries to activate Google MapsGL in FireFox 10.0.2 but was informed that my system did not meet requirements. When I tried it using Google Chrome it worked fine, so the problem seems to be with FireFox. Any ideas?
Is this something to do with 32/64 Bit browsers? I dont know how to find out what mine is (Java seems to think its 32-bit but I don't know how to confirm in FireFox)

I've seen those Google help files but they don't seem to answer the question. As I said, if I use Google Chrome, the MapsGL works fine, but if I use FireFox it reports that system requirements are not met. Since the only difference is the use of different browsers, it must be something to do with the browser, not graphics cards, axtive-x etc.

  • Java script does not seem to be working with Firefox 3.6

I am using Firefox 3.6, and recently installed MAC OS 10.6.5. I had a problem today working on a website and java script would not work with this browser. I was able to work on Safari though...

To fix this you will need to delete your firefox profile directory to get the new firefox 3.6.13 to work with the java plugin, its a good idea to run an update for java as well before hand. Or you can totally get rid of firefox and the profile directory and load an older version, just turn off automatic firefox updates.

    Hello,
Many site issues can be caused by corrupt cookies or cache. In order to try to fix these problems, the first step is to clear both cookies and the cache.
Note: ''This will temporarily log you out of all sites you're logged in to.''
To clear cache and cookies do the following:
#Go to Firefox > History > Clear recent history or (if no Firefox button is shown) go to Tools > Clear recent history.
#Under "Time range to clear", select "Everything".
#Now, click the arrow next to Details to toggle the Details list active.
#From the details list, check ''Cache'' and ''Cookies'' and uncheck everything else.
#Now click the ''Clear now'' button.
Further information can be found in the [[Clear your cache, history and other personal information in Firefox]] article.
Did this fix your problems? Please report back to us!
    Thank you.

  • Google Toolber does not work with Firefox 4

I just downloaded Firefox 4 and Google Toolbar does not work. I removed and re-downloaded it and it still does not work. I can't even uninstall via the wrench. Is there a version of toolbar that works with Firefox 4?

I am having trouble with the Google search bar. The Google tool bar works fine for me.

  • I installed the google tool bar for f.fox but don't see a home key

I installed the google tool bar supported by Firefox but I don't see a home key (little house symbol) to return me to the home page.

  • Does Firefox 8 allow java and google tool bar???

'''Will fire fox 8 address the problem of enable java console for scrips and google tool bar ''' If not we wish to remain with fire fox 7

Yes, The Norton Toolbar does support Firefox 11 ([http://community.norton.com/t5/Norton-360/Firefox-11-Support-for-Norton-Toolbar/td-p/679053 http://community.norton.com/t5/Norton-360/Firefox-11-Support-for-Norton-Toolbar/td-p/679053]). Unfortunately, the Google Toolbar was discontinued by Google, so upon upgrading, it may or may not work. [http://googletoolbarhelp.blogspot.com/2011/07/update-on-google-toolbar-for-firefox.html http://googletoolbarhelp.blogspot.com/2011/07/update-on-google-toolbar-for-firefox.html].
You can however read [https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/google-toolbar-not-compatible-firefox https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/google-toolbar-not-compatible-firefox], which offers several alternatives to the Google toolbar so then you don't have to continue running an insecure version of Firefox for one extension.

  • Can't get google tool bar with firefox 5. How do I get it?

    Down loaded Firefox 5.
Went to Google to add tool bar and said not available to have a google tool bar with 5 version.

Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and Home button for 10 seconds.  Does it power on?

  • Why does my google toolbar not work properly with the new updates. It was such a convenience to use the old toolbar to go to places I had visited before. Now I cannot get those old addresses with anything but Firefox 3.62 or whatever.

Why does Google Toolbar not work with the newer versions of Firefox.

Google have stopped supporting Google Toolbar on the latest versions of Firefox. Apparently one of the reasons for this decision is that modern browsers already tend to support many of the functions that google toolbar provides.
Firefox does allow you to specifically bookmark sites you have chosen, and also automatically remembers many of the sites you visit.
