You are experiencing a Kernel Panic, as shown in Apple kb article TS3742. .
Bad or incompatible RAM is, more often then not, the cause of most Kernel Panics. It could also just need to be reset.
Here's the most used site for Resolving Kernel Panics. Please do all the steps in order, even if you don't think you need to do a certain step. This link just goes up to Snow Leopard but there are a lot of good tips in there.
Here is a great MacFixIt article.

  • IMac (Late 2008) (8,1) (20") Shuts Down Unexpectedly

    Hello everyone, here's my problem:
Every know and then my iMac (Late 2008) 8,1 20" shuts down unexpectedly, more than once. And usually happens when I'm stressing the computer by clicking on things or just at random times. The computer however seems to be hot on top when it does shut down. When the computer shuts down it then turns back on after about 10 seconds. I've called Apple they had me reset the PRAM this worked but then after a few weeks the problem had begun again. I don't want to take it into the Apple store just yet because I really need my iMac right now and I want to know if there are any other options I have to fix this besides taking the iMac into an Apple store. Also could it be that I have to little RAM? I only have 1 GB or ram and my bus speed is: 1.07 GHz, Processor Speed: 2.4 GHz. Oh and I'm running Snow Leopard (10.6.4).
Hope you can can figure out whats wrong or what might be causing this problem. Also if you have any questions or need more info to solve the problem, just feel free to ask and I will answer them.

Check out this thread and see if it pertains to your problem.

  • Last version of iMovie HD before the '08 version

Does anyone know the last version number of the iMovie HD version that was just prior to the iLife '08 one that won't work on older machines?

    Malcolm,
Thanks a million for your tip about the older version of iMovie.
I had installed iLife '08 on my machine, but the "previous version" iMovie file was blank.
Now I have it, thanks to you.

  • Does a MacMini (late 2012) support 21:9 monitors?

Two monitors is nice, but a 21:9 (2560x1080) is maybe nicer…
Does the macMini support this (odd…) resolution?
Considering to purchase such a beast for my desktop.-
    I like screen-estate…
    And:
What happens when you switch Apps to full-screen mode??
    Anybody shares any hands-on experience?
    thanks in advance

I too have been strugling with the LG Ultrawide.  I have tried:
    - My old mid 2011 Mac Mini i5 (HD3000 graphics), Lion.  It would hit the 2560x1080, but would flash black every few seconds.  Played with Switchresx for hours to no result.
    - My 2012 Retina MBP 15 i7 (HD4000 and Nvidia), MLion.  It hits the 2560x1080 but it has the age old "TV" issue, poor font scaling, no font smoothing fixes it.  I my Apple support ticket has been elivated to engineering level my a Sr tech.  I am not holding my breath.  It is slightly better when using a DP->DVI-D
    - My NEW Late 2012 Mini i7 (HD4000), MLion.  It gets to the Apple screen, goes black to never return.  Funny this is, he Apple is the proper size and aspect ratio, so it sees the monitor as Ultrawide at boot.  I have tried booting with a second HDMI monitor and tried to get the mini to see the LG on the DP port, but it doesn't.  After the initial flash, the monitor thinks no display is hooked there either.
All systems support up to 2560x1600 displays.  So this is obviously a ultrawide format issue or an LG issue.
I plan to continue tonight trying to get the new mac mini to work with Switchresx and the DVI-D dongle.  But, the goal is to be able to switch between the the laptop and mini and even if they both can work with the DVI-D, the monitor only has one DVI-D, so that doesn't work for me.

  • Does a Latest Application builder supports older Version LabVIEW 8.5 or 6.2?

Currently I'm using LabVIEW Full Development System version 8.5 I want
to install Application Builder, the current version of which is 8.5. If
I purchase Application Builder now, will I be forced to upgrade the
LabView Installation too? How to find out the version number of the
application builder which i have? I am aware that it is a serial number
that i will be recieving for application builder and i have to just
activate in license manager. Does it works this simple? or a latest
version application builder wont support my older version LabVIEW.

For such a specific question you should contact your local NI sales rep. They should know there way around in the various licensing schemes NI has.
But I think this should be doable.

  • IMac late 2008, 2GB RAM, Mavericks 10.9.2, Noise in sleep

What keeps making the cyclical noise while in sleep?  Sounds like iMac is loading an application, a graphic, or a different screen.  Does it periodically while in sleep mode.  Does seem to do with increasing frequency as time passes while in sleep.  How do I correct this?  Just started doing it in the last few months.  I'm afraid I'm setting myself up for some kind of premature hardware failure.  I've tried everything such as checking Energy Saver settings, Bluetooth settings, print queue, etc.
    iMac, OS X Mavericks (10.9.2)

I finally figured out how to fix this.  First I reviewed "Mac OS X: Why your Mac might not sleep of stay in sleep mode."  I noted the bullet:  "Do you have any other external USB or Firewire devices connected?"  I have an CP685AVR for a UPS for my Mac.  I replaced the battery a few months ago.  I also hooked up Apple's 'Energy Saver' power management software to the CP685AVR using the USB connection.  I disconnected it, and that solved the problem.  I still have the UPS and battery back-up; I just can't "monitor" the battery.  What's to monitor?  It always said the battery was 100% charged even right up to the time the previous battery failed.  Thanks for listening, uh... reading.

  • Does mac mini (late 2014) supports dual-band wifi sharing?

    Hello,
First of all, i'm not native speaker, so, please excuse my poor english.
I have a mac mini (late 2014) and use the wifi-sharing feature of yosemite.
(Ethernet is connected to Mac mini and other devices such as mac air are connected to Mac mini through wifi)
For wifi-sharing, channel 44 is used, and as i know, it is located on 5Ghz band.
By the way, i plan to buy a sony srs x7 bluetooth speaker which also supports airplay only on 2.4GHz wifi internet.
If i wanna connect that speaker to Mac-mini's hotspot, should i change the wifi-channel of mac-mini to 2.4GHz band? or, can mac mini provides wifi hotspot for both 2.4GHz and 5GHz simultaneously?

Bluetooth is a different network than the wifi network. BT is 2.4 GHz only while wifi cn be 2.4 and/or 5 GHz.
Your BT speakers will work fine using the BT capability of the Mac

  • Does anyone know what's the last version of Sports...

I try to install and run ST 3.51, it was installed alright but warned me that this was not the right one for my phone or something along those lines. When trying to run from apps menu, nothing happens.
So now I'm looking for an older version, the latest, that runs fine on Nokia N95.
Thanks for reading and have a nice day
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

Sorry to reply late. I finally found an old version that works on my N95 - Sports Tracker 2.05
As for downloading from Nokia store, I'm really struggling with that right now - I'd like to dl Viewranger, but the store informs it's already downloaded (not true).
I wish I could just skip PC Suite since it doesn't work well with store, even after I upgraded firmware to latest and download from phone through WIFI.

The latest documentation I can find only goes up to FileNet version 5.0

    Hi,
