Does my iPhone warranty cover dead pixels?

I have an iPhone 4s and my warranty expires on October 23rd 2012. I have one dead pixel on my LCD screen and I was wondering will my warranty cover a dead pixel? Can I send it in for a screen repair?

Take it to a service center and see what they say.  It sounds like they would take care of it since I don't see how they could pass it off as abuse of the phone, but only Apple can say (we're just other users like you).  They won't actually repair it but completely replace it with a refurbished unit, so make sure you have everything backed up.

  • Does Apple's warranty cover dead pixels on the iPhone 4S?

I received my iPhone 4S in the mail today and a few hours after I had been using it I noticed a tiny dot on the screen. At first I ignored it, thinking it would go away, but it hasn't. I searched what the problem was and found out it is a dead pixel. Like I said it's very small but it really bothers me every time I watch a video or take a picture. If I take it to my local apple store, will the warranty cover this?

The warranty should cover it if it is a defect in manufacture.  In any case, you are covered by the 30 day trial return period.

"I went in to an Apple Store and yes, they will NOT do anything about just one dead pixel. You need at least 3 or more before someone will do something about it (seems to depend on the manager/person you're talking to). This is even with AppleCare. Sad. "

No warranties do not cover lost or accidental damage to products.

  • Iphone has a dead pixel, will apple exchange for a new one?

I just noticed a dead pixel on the center of iphones display. The pixel is tiny but my eyes keeps fixating on them and its annoying. What should I do?

They will replace it, they have reserves for replacement that often the manager is the only one aware of. I had the same problem and it drove me NUTS! The manger replaced it with his emergency secret stash. I feel so much better now and my new one is perfect. That one pixel in the middle of the screen was so annoying!

  • Does a Laptop Warranty Cover the Power Cord?

Hi, I bought a HP Envy Touchsmart 15 and it is still covered by warranty.   However, I cannot find any support help online such as  the support chat which I find very odd since I just used it about a month ago when my battery died!  Where did all the support go?
Anyways, when I plug in my laptop, the LED by the power port does not come on, and my laptop will not charge or turn on at all.  My battery is dead, but I know it works becasue it is less than a month old.  Since my laptop will not run on AC power even with the battery removed, I feel the power cord is the problem.
I would really like to know if my warranty covers the power cord, and if so how do I contact HP, since there is absolutley no information when I go to "Contact Us" besides the consumer forums.
I am a ECE student at UT in Austin, and every day I go without a laptop is hurting my grades.  So I need help ASAP

    Hi
Yes, power cord, adapter are covered under limited warranty. HP would replace it for you if it's faulty.

  • Does my extended warranty cover the casing?

Some time ago, I bought a lock for my MacBook Pro. It seemed kind of flaky, but I think it's pretty much the standard lock. You simply inserted one end of the lock into a tiny hole on the right side of the computer's exterior (I don't know if "casing" is the right term or not), turn the key, and it locks.
I only used it a couple times, then didn't take it with me to work for several months. Recently, I decided to take it to work again, but I discovered I couldn't lock it. I thought I had just forgotten how to use it, but it back to the store where I bought the lock, and their repairman looked at it.
He said it appeared that the lock wouldn't work because the hole you insert it into had more or less been ruined; it had been bent or gouged. I showed it to someone else, and they came to the same conclusion.
So I'm confused. How easy is it to bend or warp the exterior of a MacBook Pro? Is this something my extended warranty would cover? If so, how would Apple handle it? Would they be able to repair it, or would they give me a new computer?
I still haven't been able to figure out how the damage could have resulted. Someone suggested that a person might have actually tried to steal my computer and simply yanked on it really hard. However, this isn't likely, because the lock doesn't work - period. If they had gone to all the trouble of yanking on it, they should have easily discovered that the lock simply falls out.
    Thanks.

apple's warranty (including applecare) does not cover accidental/deliberate damage
so unless you have a non-apple warranty that gives extended cover there is not much you can do about it (the cost of repair is likely to be steep, but you could ask for a quote)
if you can prove it is the result of an attempted theft then the insurance covering the premises where it happened might apply, but it sounds like you wouldn't be able to prove the cause
i regularly use a lock with the mbp, i don't think the casing would bend with normal use, but if someone didn't realise that the lock was there and tried to walk off with the mac then i wouldn't be surprised if it caused damage

  • IPhone 4 Stuck/Dead Pixel?!

Help? My iPhone 4 (CDMA) has a tiny green pixel somewhere in the bottom right of the screen. It's really annoying and eye-catching to me, I had to go have it repaired two times already. First time was long ago, where my phone's screen was shattered and then repaired front and back. The guy didn't repair it well, so I had it repaired again recently. My phone looks good as new though there's a problem, there's a dead/stuck pixel. Just like I mentioned, the green pixel is visible if you pay attention closely. It's upgraded to the latest to the latest firmware and restored.
Though, anyone here know how to get rid of that pixel? Without damaging my phone or having it repaired again since I took it to different people who were experts. Thanks, I'd appreciate any feedback/replies.

Pixels being broke are a hardware issue
    my advice
Backup your device then restore it
if the pixels still show up
Contact apple at 18006947466 or visit a retail store.
because you backed it up all you need to do is restore your new phone from the backup

  • Does the1 year warranty cover usb cable damages?

I bought an iphone 5 since december and my usb stopped working without o reason, if i go to apple store they can give another one for free or something like that?

As with any warranty on any product, damage is not covered.
    Warranties cover defects.
Everything in the boz is covered under the warranty.
If the cable is defective and under warranty then they will replace.

  • Does Apple iPad warranty cover cosmetic damages?

I have the iPad smart cover on my iPad 3 and after some time I've noticed a few scratches on the side of my iPad. Only a cosmetic thing, but wondering if apple one year warranty covers cosmetic damages. It was their faulty cover and error in creating a protective cover. So, again, will the warranty over it?

I'd take it into an Apple Store and ask, but I doubt the one-year warranty will cover minor stuff like cosmetic damages. I imagine it only covers problems like the iPad just suddenly dying on you for no reason. It might depend just how bad the damages are, too.
HOWEVER, if you really really don't like the cosmetic damages you can get AppleCare (I think it's around $99 for iPads) and they'll replace it for you rather than having to pony up $500+ for another iPad.

  • Does my 1year warranty cover water damage?

Dropped my phone in a cup of milk, only damaged battery life and sometimes sumiltaniously shuts off..

If you are taking about support "pay-per-incident" then you can always use that service, but it will cost you.  It your iPhone was still under warranty before the water damage then you should be able to contact Apple at no charge.

  • Does the iNano warranty cover stolen products?

I know that probably sounds like a dumb question but I have to ask.

No. Anything which does is an insurance policy, not a warranty.
