Does the Macbook Pro have a program to run Windows built in? If not, what is the best program to do so. Purchasing a new Mac.
No. The Mac does not have anything to run Windows
You must install either virtualizrion software or use BootCamp to create a partition for Windows. Once you have done that then you must install Windows.

Does the macbook pro have a dvd player?
Does the macbook pro have a built-in dvd player?
This is the only new MBP you can purchase with an integral DVD drive at this time:

A retina MBP will require an external DVD drive.

Does my MacBook Pro have an inernal convertor for European use?
Does my MacBook Pro have an internal convertor for use in Europe with a standard adaptor or do I have to get a separate convertor?
MBP power block autoconverts.
You just need a plug-end converter from your home country (making no assumption abiut USA) to the countries' (many have different and unique styles) you intend to visit. -
Does the macbook pro have the capacity to print direct to blank cd?
does the macbook pro have the capacity to print directly to blank cd? If not- can you suggest an add-on product that will work with the mac pro?
Unless you have a printer that can feed and print on a physical CD then you cannot. This isn't a function of the computer. Printers can usually print onto labels of any sort, but not directly onto the disc itself.

Does a Macbook Pro have iWeb already on it?
I'm purchasing a MacBook Pro and have always loved iWeb, does iWeb come on the MacBook Pro?? And does Garageband and iMovie too??
No. iWeb is no longer supported nor is iDVD. iMovie, GarageBand, and iPhoto are still included with new Macs.
If you have iWeb already it will still work. After June 2012 there will be some funtions of iWeb that were used specifically for Mobile Me will no longer work. If you are using iWeb for a website on Mobile Me then you will need to find an alternative hosting service before the end of June 2012. -
Does the macbook pro have a 'dv terminal'?
I have macbook pro and panasonic dv video camera. Panasonic manual says I can use a dv interface cable to connect the camera to the computer if the computer has a dv terminal. Does the mac have a dv terminal? is it one of the firewire ports?
many thanksHi nandi,
always learning something new here: I have never heard the term 'dv terminal' but a quick goodgle search showed that this is another name for a 4-pin FireWire port.
So since the MacBook Pro has two FireWire ports the answer is YES.
But be aware that the Firewire ports on the MacBook Pro are full-sized ports either 6-pins for Firewire400 or 9-pins for Firewire800.
So the usual 4pins connector for Camcorder does not fit.

How much RAM does the MacBook Pro have?
I need at least 4GB RAM preferably 8GB RAM.... it is for school and i have many games and scrapbook tools for my electives.... please help.
Are you planning on buying a MacBook Pro or do you already have one? Apple sells MBPs (non-Retina) with either 4GB or 8GB of RAM. The problem with buying RAM from Apple is that it's so expensive. If you ordered a 4GB machine, for instance, you could upgrade it yourself to 8GB or 16GB without voiding the warranty.
So if you're buying - go with a 'base' 4GB model and buy the RAM and install it yourself.

Does my macbook pro have HD screen?
I have a Macbook pro that I bought in 2007. Can I watch HD movies on it w/ HD quality?
Hi s,
It will not be "full" HD/1920 x 1080 because your MBP's max resolution is 1440 x 900, but it is better than "HD"/1280 x 720, and on a display this size will look as sharp as "full" HD on a larger screen. So, basically that's a "yes."

Does the MacBook Pro have an audio input?
Looking to take output from external source (cable box) and run into my MacBook Pro. Can I do this? What application would I run on the computer to listen to the input?
Hi starbux48,
Yes, on the 17" MBP you have a dedicated line and line out. Take a look at the sides of your MBP, and you should see two 1/8" jacks, one has a headphone picture and the other something else. This "something else" is your audio input. Just get a cable that has an 1/8" jack on one side, and stereo RCA (assumed for a cable box) on the other. I am not very familiar with Macs and audio recording, but I would imagine that whatever you intend to use to record will have a setting to select your MBP's audio input as the source. Good luck!
Rich S.
