Does my MacPro have BlueTooth or not?

I have a MacPro 4,1 (2.66 GHz quad-core, 3 GB RAM) that Apple offered as a replacement for my PowerMac G5 after I had problems with the logic board 3 different times over less then 1 year.
On the menubar the Bluetooth icon was there so I click on the "discoverable" menu option and after a about 30 seconds the icon grayed out and now the menu says "Bluetooth: Not available". I looked in the System Profiler and the Bluetooth section says "No information found".
When I look at the system specifications at http://support.apple.com/kb/SP506 it looks like Bluetooth 2.1 is not an option, but is always built in. The Mactracker application also indicates that Bluetooth should be available.
So do I have Bluetooth or not? Am I having some of the Bluetooth problems with the MacPro that I've seen in other postings in the MacPro discussions?

Your MacPro did come with Bluetooth hardware. It sounds like yours is fubarred.

Does dv7-6c95dx have bluetooth support built in?

Under drivers for my model, there are choices for drivers for bluetooth, but my computer has the 6150 Centrino wireless card. It does not recognize bluetooth hardware recognized with the latest chipset driver.
As this is not CTO, does it have bluetooth? Or, do I need a dongle?

Your Laptop is Factory Deafult with the O.S. Windows 7 64 bits.
Did you make the Update from Windows 8?
The Windows 8 just one driver has update for the card Atheros.
You can Install: http://www.ma-config.com/
This program verify the correct driver.

this is how to get the wifi on your ipod
1. go into settings
2. click wi-fi
3. make sure the switch at the top that says "Wi-Fi" is on not off
4. also make sure as to join networks is on at the bottom.
5. if not there click other
6. enter whatever your network name is and it's security type is

try to seach on the product sites of toshiba to find out if your system is capable of bluetooth...
if you cant find any bluetooth devices in the device manager it's possible that there are none in this notebook...
but as far as i knows almost every notebook from toshiba has a socket for a bluetooth module...
maybe you can find a door on the bottom of the machine next to the ram...
make sure that there is a antenna also...
if unsure ask your servicepartner/dealer

The new OS update allows streaming stereo music to systems equipped with Bluetooth using the A2DP technology. My car does not have bluetooth but does have an aux-in jack. Does anyone know of a bluetooth receiver or other device that would plug into the aux-in jack so that music would play through the car stereo system when it is set to aux?

A nice suggestion that I may go with but I'm still interested in finding a wireless solution. I'd like to get in my car with music already playing on the phone and have the car stereo pick it up and play through the speakers, then receive a phone call hearing the caller through the car speakers and use a mic in car that would work for my part of the call. Yes, you can setup the iPod and redownload past iTunes purchases. You need a wifi connectin to the interent.
You can redownload most iTunes purchases by:

Sorry to hear that the Bluetooth data/profiles may have been deleted from your phone. Accidents happen!
oznaw, to be honest, I believe you will need to perform a master reset in order to recover the missing Bluetooth data, as there is nothing really available in the Play Store that just updates the Bluetooth profiles/data. Let us know if you have any additional questions, or if you found an alternative. Thank you oznaw.

You can't connect an iPhone or iPad to a Mac via Bluetooth, except for Internet tethering.
You're not doing anything wrong - it just isn't a feature of iOS devices.

Because you that's not a supported bluetooth profile on the iPhone... In order to sync contacts with a handsfree system, the system needs to support the PBAP bluetooth profile. If it does, then the contacts will sync automatically.

I can confirm this. The notebook does not support the BT module and does not support internal mic. If you want to use the microphone you have to use a external one. You can connect it to the external mic jack. Thats all.
But what do you exactly want to do??? Do you want to transfer the images from mobile phone to notebook??
In such case you could use an USB cable which was especially designed for such mobile phones for connecting to the notebook or desktop PC

Unfortunately, the fifth generation iPod nano does not have a built-in Bluetooth chip. The seventh generation iPod nano, introduced in fall 2012, is the only iPod nano as of now that does have Bluetooth built-in.
